Hello from Nature’s Foodies
As a proud grizzly bear, I say hello from Alaska. We eat anything we can get our paws on. One of my favorite meals is fresh salmon. There’s nothing quite like the pleasure of a stomach full of fresh fish!
I’m a blue whale. I may eat up to 3.6 million krill (磷虾) per day! You may wonder why such huge animals live on such tiny food. It’s because our mouths only have rows of baleen (鲸须). It lets water flow out while holding in tiny things.
I’m a hummingbird. We eat flower nectar (蜜). We fly around a few thousand flowers each day to get as much food as possible. As we move our wings really fast, we burn through energy fast. So we need to keep feeding.
Hello~ from~a~ sloth~ in~ South~ America! Our favorite food? Low~ energy leaves! Do we eat a lot? No. We slow-movers don’t need a lot of energy. Even our stomachs work so slowly that after a meal, we’re too tired to do anything but ... sleep!

Before the vacation, I was quite dependent on my parents. I seldom tried to solve problems on my own and often gave up easily when facing small difficulties. To change this situation, I carefully made a self-improvement plan at the beginning of the holiday. I decided to learn life skills, stick to daily exercise and take part in public activities in the community.
In the first month, I learned to do housework regularly, including cooking simple meals, tidying up rooms and planning my daily schedule. At the very beginning, I met many troubles. I could not control the heat when cooking, and I often forgot to arrange my time reasonably. However, instead of feeling frustrated, I kept learning from my mistakes and practiced day after day. Gradually, I became skillful in dealing with daily affairs.
In addition to self-improvement at home, I volunteered in the community library every weekend. My main job was sorting out books, guiding young readers and helping the elderly borrow books. Through communicating with different people, I gradually became more patient, confident and good at expressing my ideas. I also realized that happiness comes not from receiving, but from giving.
When the vacation ended, I had changed a lot. I was no longer the lazy and dependent kid who was afraid of challenges. This happy holiday taught me that real happiness lies in self-improvement, and every effort we make will finally turn into precious growth.

Home is always regarded as the most important spiritual (精神的) harbor for us, and family bond is one of the most powerful supports in people’s whole life. Different from schools and social environments that focus on knowledge and competition, family provides warmth, encouragement and spiritual strength that no other place can. It is widely believed that a close and loving family relationship plays an important part in shaping people’s characters and supporting their spiritual health.
Firstly, family bond offers people emotional comfort when they face difficulties, such as study failures, interpersonal troubles or self-doubt. When people feel upset and helpless, family members always stand by them patiently. Instead of blaming their mistakes, families help them calm down, analyze problems and rebuild confidence. This kind of emotional support prevents people from falling into bad moods and teaches them to face difficulties bravely.
Secondly, family love helps form positive personal values. Family is the first classroom for every person. The communication style, living attitude and moral standards (道德标准) of family members influence teenagers’ growth. A good family teaches people to be kind, responsible and grateful. These good qualities will guide people’s behavior and help them build correct views on life.
Thirdly, a strong family bond gives people lasting courage to move forward. In the years of growing up, teenagers will face lots of challenges. When they feel tired or want to give up, the warmth from home reminds them that they are never alone. The support and love from family help them keep working hard for their dreams.
All in all, home is far more than a living place. The precious family bond provides endless spiritual support for people’s growth. It shapes our personality, comforts our heart and encourages us to keep moving forward throughout our life.

根据语境可知,这里表达停下休息,固定短语stop for a break,因此选a break。
It’s better to do sth. It’s better to。It’s good to语义不匹配,It’s nicely to存在语法错误。

Even our stomachs work so slowly that after a meal, we’re too tired to do anything but ... sleep!

A. It’s the largest sea animal.
B. It only has baleen instead of teeth.
C. It likes a stomach full of tiny food.

表格第二部分提到蓝鲸以微小生物为食的原因:“It’s because our mouths only have rows of baleen. It lets water flow out while holding in tiny things.”
