Everyone has their own preferred (偏爱的) way to learn. Knowing your learning style can help you study better. Here are four common types of learners and some advice for each:
○ Visual (视觉的) learners | ○ Auditory (听觉的) learners
Visual learners understand ideas best through pictures, maps and charts. They like taking colorful notes. If you are a visual learner, try using colored pens, drawing mind maps or watching videos to help you study. | These learners study by listening. They enjoy speeches and prefer talking to writing. If you are an auditory learner, you can listen to recordings, join study groups and read your notes aloud to learn better.
○ Reading / writing learners | ○ Kinesthetic (动觉的) learners
These learners enjoy reading and writing. They learn well by reading books, taking notes and writing articles. They may also have neat handwriting, which is admired by teachers. If this is your style, try rewriting your notes and reading more materials to better understand what you’re studying. | Kinesthetic learners learn by practicing. They enjoy hands-on activities, role-playing or touching objects when studying. They are very lively and may find it hard to sit quietly for a long time. If you learn this way, try walking around to keep your attention while studying.
No matter what your style is, using the right way can make learning easier. Try to find the best way for you!
