I’d like to think I’m a fairly modern guy. I use a smartwatch, order groceries online, and can even park using my car’s sensors. So, when my 15-year-old daughter, Emma, declared my wardrobe (衣橱) a “disaster zone” and offered a “digital makeover”, I foolishly agreed.
It started with a simple app. Emma took photos of all my clothes, and the app promised the perfect daily outfit based on the weather, my calendar, and a color-matching algorithm (算法). I was impressed. For the first week, it was a game-changer. “Wear the blue shirt with the grey trousers,” the app would command, and I’d walk into the office feeling like a fashion star.
Trouble began quietly. The app, perhaps influenced by Emma’s own tastes, started suggesting items I’d forgotten — a pair of bright orange shorts I’d bought for a holiday ten years ago. When I ignored it, the app lowered my “style score”, meaningless but frustrating. Then, the weather update failed, insisting snow in July and telling me to wear my heaviest coat. My colleagues thought I had lost my mind. I tried to override the app, but Emma had locked me out of “Expert Mode”.
Feeling defeated, I told all of this to my wife. She laughed and reminded me of something I’d forgotten: I don’t have a style score; I have a mirror. I don’t have an algorithm for rain; I have a weather app on my phone. And most importantly, I don’t need a digital Emma; I have a real one, and her opinion matters far more than any app’s.
So, I uninstalled the app. My wardrobe is back to its old, familiar chaos. And it feels just right. The only opinion that still counts is the one I hear from the hallway every morning: “Dad, you’re wearing that?”
24. How did the author find the app’s first-week suggestions?
A. Helpful and exciting. B. Complex and costly.
C. Practical and creative. D. Confusing and risky.
25. Why did the author’s colleagues think he had lost his mind?
A. He ignored the app’s suggestions.
B. He wore his thickest clothes in July.
C. He wore orange shorts to the office.
D. He locked himself out of Expert Mode.
26. How does the author’s wife view the app?
A. It makes unreliable predictions. B. It badly needs improvement.
C. It fully replaces human judgement. D. It only serves as a reference.
27. What message is conveyed in the text?
A. Digital tools can ruin our daily style.
B. Teenagers know more about technology.
C. Real-life connections beat digital advice.
D. Wardrobes should not be managed by apps.
【答案】24. A 25. B 26. D 27. C
【解析】
【导语】本文主要讲述作者使用穿搭软件搭配衣物,经历一系列麻烦后,选择舍弃软件回归真实生活的故事。
【24题详解】
细节理解题。根据第二段中的“For the first week, it was a game-changer. “Wear the blue shirt with the grey trousers,” the app would command, and I’d walk into the office feeling like a fashion star.(在第一周,它带来了巨大改变。软件会吩咐“穿上蓝衬衫搭配灰色裤子”,然后我走进办公室,感觉自己像一位时尚明星。)”可知,作者认为软件一开始给出的建议有用,还让自己十分开心。
【25题详解】
细节理解题。根据第三段中的“Then, the weather update failed, insisting snow in July and telling me to wear my heaviest coat. My colleagues thought I had lost my mind.(之后天气更新出错,坚称七月会下雪,并让我穿上最厚的外套。我的同事们都认为我疯了。)”可知,作者在七月穿上厚重外套,所以同事觉得他不正常。
【26题详解】
推理判断题。根据第四段中的“She laughed and reminded me of something I’d forgotten: I don’t have a style score; I have a mirror. I don’t have an algorithm for rain; I have a weather app on my phone. And most importantly, I don’t need a digital Emma; I have a real one, and her opinion matters far more than any app’s.(她笑了,提醒了我一件已经忘记的事:我没有风格评分,我有镜子;我不需要降雨算法,手机上就有天气软件;最重要的是,我不需要一个虚拟的Emma,我拥有真实的她,她的看法远比软件重要。)”可知,妻子认为软件不能替代人,只能当作参考。
【27题详解】
主旨大意题。通读全文,尤其是第四段中的“And most importantly, I don’t need a digital Emma; I have a real one, and her opinion matters far more than any app’s.(最重要的是,我不需要一个虚拟的Emma,我拥有真实的她,她的看法远比软件重要。)”可知,文章想要告诉我们真实的人际陪伴与建议胜过数字软件给出的意见。
C
Will there be another Harry Potter? Between 1997 and 2007, it seemed like every child was reading J.K. Rowling’s fantasy novels about a teenager’s adventures. Kids worldwide spent long hours reading the thick hardcovers many times. But when digital reading began replacing print reading, we may never again see another book series attract kids’ attention as Harry Potter did. In addition, the switch to digital reading may be affecting kids’ reading comprehension skills, a recently published study finds.
Scientists at the University of Valencia in Spain analyzed 26 previous studies, each exploring the effect of leisure-time digital reading on comprehension. They found that digital reading does improve comprehension skills, but the beneficial effect of deep reading is between six and seven times smaller than that of print reading, and it’s smallest for children.
Great exposure to digital reading activities may prevent early readers from building firm reading basics in a critical period. Digital texts tend to be much shorter and have worse linguistic (语言学的) quality compared to printed works. Phones and computers also expose readers to distractions from social media, YouTube, and video games. Because youth tend to have poor impulse (冲动) control, they are more likely to be distracted than adults when engaging in digital reading. They also are less likely to have mastered vocabulary and grammar rules.
With paper, there is a literal laying on of hands, along with the visual geography of distinct pages. People often link their memory of what they’ve read to how far into the book it was or where it was on the page. The more kids are exposed to print reading, the better able they are to understand and recall what they are reading. Moreover, as young readers consume longer and more complex texts, their reading skills improve, further boosting their abilities.
It is therefore recommended that parents and teachers limit kids’ time with digital content, or at least emphasize printed works or using basic e-readers with ink-screens.
28. Why does the author mention Harry Potter at the beginning?
A. To praise its writer. B. To show its popularity.
C. To introduce the topic. D. To compare book series.
29. What does the author focus on in the first two paragraphs?
A. The loss of deep reading. B. The importance of reading.
C. The appeal of print reading. D. The benefits of digital reading.
30. What makes print reading beneficial to kids’ reading abilities according to the study?
A. Parents’ reading skills. B. Paper’s physical properties.
C. Social media’s support. D. Kids’ consumption of easy texts.
31. Which of the following would be the best title for the text?
A. Print Reading Still Has a Place B. How Kids Learn to Read
C. Why Harry Potter Still Matters D. Digital Reading Fails Young Readers
【答案】28. C 29. A 30. B 31. A
【解析】
【导语】文章主要研究对比数字阅读与纸质阅读,指出纸质阅读更利于孩子阅读理解能力发展。
【28题详解】
推理判断题。根据第一段中“But when digital reading began replacing print reading, we may never again see another book series attract kids’ attention as Harry Potter did.(但是当数字阅读开始取代纸质阅读时,我们或许再也看不到另一套丛书能像《哈利・波特》那样吸引孩子们的目光。)”可知,作者开篇提到《哈利・波特》是为了引出数字阅读和纸质阅读的话题。
【29题详解】
主旨大意题。通读前两段,尤其是根据第二段中“They found that digital reading does improve comprehension skills, but the beneficial effect of deep reading is between six and seven times smaller than that of print reading, and it’s smallest for children.(他们发现数字阅读确实能提升理解能力,但数字阅读带来的深度阅读增益效果仅为纸质阅读的六到七分之一,且这种增益效应对儿童来说是最低的。)”可知,前两段重点讲深度阅读在数字阅读中有所缺失。
【30题详解】
细节理解题。根据第四段中“With paper, there is a literal laying on of hands, along with the visual geography of distinct pages. People often link their memory of what they’ve read to how far into the book it was or where it was on the page. The more kids are exposed to print reading, the better able they are to understand and recall what they are reading. Moreover, as young readers consume longer and more complex texts, their reading skills improve, further boosting their abilities.(阅读纸质书时,我们可以实实在在触摸书页,同时感受不同页面带来的视觉位置感。人们常常把读过内容的记忆,和它在书中的位置、在页面上的地方联系起来。孩子接触纸质阅读越多,理解和回忆阅读内容的能力就越强。此外,当青少年阅读篇幅更长、内容更复杂的文本时,他们的阅读水平会得到提升,能力也会进一步增强。)”可知,纸质读物本身的物理特性对孩子阅读能力有益。
【31题详解】
主旨大意题。通读全文,结合第四段中“The more kids are exposed to print reading, the better able they are to understand and recall what they are reading.(孩子接触纸质阅读越多,理解和回忆阅读内容的能力就越强。)”可知,文章核心是说明纸质阅读依然有其价值和地位。“Print Reading Still Has a Place(纸质阅读依然有它的一席之地)”符合题意。

Plants can detect potential dangers by means of smell. However, their ability to recognize threats varies. New research indicates that young leaves of corn plants are far more sensitive to danger signals than mature ones.
Lei Wang, a plant biologist at the University of Bern in Switzerland, explains that plants can sense approaching risks and activate their defense systems in advance. He and his colleagues published the new findings in Current Biology.
Many plants strengthen their chemical defenses when facing insect attacks. One important way for plants to perceive threats is through scent (气味). They are capable of detecting scent molecules (分子) in the air, which may come from insects’ saliva (口水) or nearby damaged plants.
Nevertheless, scientists have not yet clarified which parts of plants are responsible for detecting dangers, as plants have no noses. They also know little about the internal mechanism by which plants process danger signals. Wang’s team intended to explore this warning system in corn. However, they ran into an unexpected obstacle early on: when exposed to threat-related scents, fully grown corn leaves showed almost no detectable response.
The researchers then focused on young leaves instead. Lab experiments showed that young corn leaves performed much better in sensing dangers than older ones, with a stronger reaction to a typical danger-signaling scent, which smells like freshly cut grass. The reason is still unclear. Being in the early growth stage, young leaves need extra defense, so it may be a natural protection for these more susceptible young leaves. Besides, young leaves, usually growing at the top of plants, might be more exposed to scents carried over long distances. These assumptions require further study.
Wang hopes his research will contribute to the breeding of insect-resistant crops, which will gradually reduce the use of poisonous pesticides in agriculture. “My parents are farmers,” Wang says. “This research is not just to satisfy curiosity. I truly expect to solve some practical agricultural problems.”
32. What is special about young corn leaves according to the new research?
A. They give off warning scents. B. They grow faster than mature leaves.
C. They react better to danger signals. D. They attract insects from long distances.
33. What problem did Wang’s team meet at first?
A. Corn plants failed to grow well.
B. Insects’ saliva damaged the young leaves.
C. Danger-related scents were hard to detect.
D. Mature leaves reacted little to warning smells.
34. Which is closest in meaning to the underlined word “susceptible” in paragraph 5?
A. Slow to grow. B. Hard to reach. C. Easily harmed. D. Quickly recovered.
35. What does Wang expect from this research?
A. It may explain corn’s faster growth.
B. It may reveal how plants process signals.
C. It may lead to greener crop protection.
D. It may make pesticide use more efficient.
【答案】32. C 33. D 34. C 35. C
【解析】
【导语】本文主要介绍了瑞士伯尔尼大学植物生物学家王磊团队的新研究发现——玉米幼叶比成熟叶片对危险信号更敏感,并探讨其在培育抗虫作物、减少农药使用方面的潜在应用价值。
【32题详解】
细节理解题。根据第一段“New research indicates that young leaves of corn plants are far more sensitive to danger signals than mature ones.(新的研究表明,玉米植株的幼叶对危险信号的敏感度远高于成熟叶片)”可知,幼叶对危险信号的反应更强。
【33题详解】
细节理解题。根据第四段“However, they ran into an unexpected obstacle early on: when exposed to threat-related scents, fully grown corn leaves showed almost no detectable response.(然而,他们在早期遇到了一个意外的障碍:当暴露在威胁相关的气味中时,完全成熟的玉米叶片几乎没有表现出可检测到的反应)”可知,成熟叶片对预警气味几乎无反应。
【34题详解】
词句猜测题。根据第五段“Being in the early growth stage, young leaves need extra defense, so it may be a natural protection for these more susceptible young leaves. (由于处于早期生长阶段,幼叶需要额外的防御,因此这可能是对这些更susceptible幼叶的自然保护)”可知,幼叶需要额外保护,说明它们更容易受到伤害,susceptible意为“易受伤害的”。
【35题详解】
推理判断题。根据最后一段“Wang hopes his research will contribute to the breeding of insect-resistant crops, which will gradually reduce the use of poisonous pesticides in agriculture.(王磊希望他的研究能促进抗虫作物的培育,从而逐步减少农业中毒性农药的使用)”可推知,他期待这项研究带来更环保的作物保护方式。
第二节 (共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分)
阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。
Communication begins long before you open your mouth. The way you stand, the position of your arms, and your facial expressions all tell a story that can be read immediately. By adopting the following habits, you can project confidence, openness, and charm with your nonverbal cues.
___36___
When you are truly engaged in a movie or a game, you lean forward. The same applies to conversation. Slightly leaning your upper body toward the speaker is a loud nonverbal cue that says, “I am interested in what you are saying.” ___37___ Just be mindful of personal space, because a deep lean can feel like impoliteness.
Find the eye contact “sweet spot”.
___38___ However, there is a fine line between “engaged” and “uncomfortable”. Unbroken staring can cause a fight-or-flight response in others. To avoid this, try the 50/70 rule: maintain eye contact for 50% of the time while you are speaking and maintain eye contact for 70% of the time while you are listening.
Adopt an open posture.
When you cross your arms or legs, you are physically protecting your vital organs. ___39___ To appear more approachable, keep your chest open. Let your arms hang relaxed at your sides and angle your body toward the person you are speaking with.
Subtly (巧妙地) mirror their movements.
Have you ever noticed that when you are really clicking with someone, you naturally start doing the same things they are? This is called mirroring, and it creates an unconscious sense of familiarity and trust. You can intentionally use this by reflecting your conversation partner’s posture or gestures. The warning: The key word is subtle. ___40___
A. Lean in to listen.
B. Be an active observer with a deep lean in.
C. This closes the physical distance and builds connection.
D. You want to mirror their energy, not copy their every move.
E. Looking someone in the eye conveys confidence and engagement.
F. Mirroring can make the interaction more genuine when done frequently.
G. While comfortable, this primitive defensive position signals to others that you are closed off.
【答案】36. A 37. C 38. E 39. G 40. D

根据后文“When you are truly engaged in a movie or a game, you lean forward. The same applies to conversation. Slightly leaning your upper body toward the speaker is a loud nonverbal cue that says, “I am interested in what you are saying.”(当你真正沉浸在一部电影或游戏中时,你会身体前倾。这同样适用于对话。微微将上半身倾向说话者是一个强烈的非语言信号,表示“我对你说的话感兴趣”。)”可知,本段主要讲述“身体前倾倾听”这一习惯。A选项“Lean in to listen.(前倾身体去倾听。)”适合作本段小标题,概括全段主旨。
【37题详解】
根据前文“Slightly leaning your upper body toward the speaker is a loud nonverbal cue that says, “I am interested in what you are saying.”(微微将上半身倾向说话者是一个强烈的非语言信号,表示“我对你说的话感兴趣”。)”以及后文“Just be mindful of personal space, because a deep lean can feel like impoliteness.(只是要注意个人空间,因为过度前倾可能会显得不礼貌。)”可知,前文提到前倾的好处,后文提醒注意分寸,此处应补充前倾带来的积极效果。C选项“This closes the physical distance and builds connection.(这缩短了身体距离并建立了联系。)”承接前文,说明前倾的好处,与后文的提醒形成转折,符合语境。
【38题详解】
根据本段小标题“Find the eye contact “sweet spot”.(找到眼神交流的“最佳平衡点”。)”以及后文“However, there is a fine line between “engaged” and “uncomfortable”.(然而,“投入”和“不舒服”之间只有一线之隔。)”可知,本段讨论眼神交流。E选项“Looking someone in the eye conveys confidence and engagement.(看着别人的眼睛传递出自信和投入。)”承接小标题,说明眼神交流的积极意义,与后文“However”形成转折,指出过度直视的问题,符合语境。
【39题详解】
根据前文“When you cross your arms or legs, you are physically protecting your vital organs.(当你交叉双臂或双腿时,你是在物理上保护你的重要器官。)”以及后文“To appear more approachable, keep your chest open.(为了显得更平易近人,保持胸部敞开。)”可知,前文描述交叉手臂的姿势,后文建议打开姿势,此处应说明交叉手臂姿势传递的负面信号。G选项“While comfortable, this primitive defensive position signals to others that you are closed off.(虽然舒服,但这种原始的防御姿势向他人传递出你封闭自我的信号。)”承接前文,解释交叉手臂的隐含意义,与后文的改进建议形成对比,符合语境。
【40题详解】
根据前文“The warning: The key word is subtle.(警告:关键词是“巧妙”。)”以及本段主题“Subtly mirror their movements.(巧妙地模仿他们的动作。)”可知,此处强调模仿要适度。D选项“You want to mirror their energy, not copy their every move.(你要模仿的是他们的能量,而不是复制他们的每一个动作。)”承接前文的警告,具体说明“巧妙”的含义——即模仿整体状态而非机械复制动作,符合语境。

Like most teenagers growing up in the digital age, I relied on my phone for photos. These were mostly quick snaps (快照) that were ___41___ but rarely revisited. My profile on Instagram was a polished collection of such photos intended to ___42___ my peers. The transition from sharing images to ___43___ memories for myself was a gradual one.
It began with a simple ___44___: flipping (翻阅) through family photo albums. I was attracted by the images from my family’s ___45___. They weren’t polished, but they held stories that words often couldn’t ___46___ — of birthdays, ceremonies and family portraits. In those photographs, I saw ___47___. I realized that every image was a piece of something ___48___: a history that had been passed down.
It was this ___49___ that led me to pick up my film camera. With just 36 exposures per roll, each photo required ___50___, a slowing down to see the world around me. I now take photos of the things that matter most: friends’ weddings, holidays and small moments of joy. If a picture didn’t turn out as I had hoped, it didn’t matter. The ___51___ became part of the story. They weren’t meant for ___52___ or comments — they were meant for me, for family and friends.
There’s a sense of ___53___ when I finally open an envelope of developed prints. I’m ___54___ those moments. And in that sense, my ___55___ to film photography feels like a desire to regain the permanence and closeness that comes with holding a memory in your hands.

【导语】这篇文章主要介绍了老舍茶馆在北京,自1988年开业广受好评。这里可品茶、欣赏传统演出,是游客必去之地,能让人感受地道中国茶文化。
【56题详解】
考查非谓语动词。句意:如果你是茶爱好者,来北京旅行时,一定要去老舍茶馆看看。分析句子可知,此处为非谓语动词作后置定语修饰tea lover,tea lover与travel是主动关系,用现在分词短语作后置定语,相当于who is travelling to Beijing,故填travel的现在分词形式traveling/travelling。

Ten-year-old Sami loved to visit his grandfather’s house. The house was near the beautiful blue sea. At the seaside stood thick and tall palm trees with green coconuts (椰子) hanging from them.
When the coconuts fell down, Sami would break them open and drink the coconut water. Sami liked to play under the trees. It was always great fun to spend the holidays at Grandpa’s place.
This winter vacation, Sami was surprised when he came to his grandfather’s village. There were hardly any trees left. He saw houses built near the sea. People had cut down many palm trees and there was hardly any greenery left.
Grandpa’s house was different. He never allowed his trees to be cut. He hugged each palm tree in his courtyard. He also named the two big trees near the front door — one was Petu, and the other Betu. He had planted them with his own hands and today they had become large trees with thick trunks. They were tall and green and gave the sweetest, juiciest coconuts.
One night, Sami was awakened by a strange sound. He could not sleep. He tossed (辗转) and turned in bed.
Suddenly, the ground shook as if the earth was splitting. He sat up straight and then ran to Grandpa. He clung (依附) to his grandpa tightly. Grandpa cried out, “It’s an earthquake! It’s an earthquake!” They ran outside the house. They thought that would be safe.
Suddenly, there was a loud sound; the earth was not splitting but the sea was roaring. People were shouting, screaming and crying, “The sea is rising. The sea is rising.” The villagers started running away from the beach. Sami watched dumbstruck (呆若木鸡).
The waves were rising higher and higher. Sami thought, “How big the waves are!” He went into the house again and saw water coming in from all sides. He was scared.
Sami remembered his mother telling him long ago, “You must always get out of the house if the floods come too near.” He ran outside the house with Grandpa. But the water came surging (汹涌) in.
Waves about twelve meters high came rushing in, drowning everything. Water was all around and everywhere.

2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。
Grandpa held Sami’s hand tightly, but a huge wave separated them.

【答案】参考范文
Grandpa held Sami’s hand tightly, but a huge wave separated them. Sami struggled desperately to keep his head above the surface. Just as he felt himself losing strength, his fingers brushed against something rough and solid — a palm tree trunk. With all his remaining energy, he grabbed hold of it and clung on tightly. It was Petu, one of Grandpa’s beloved trees. He remembered Grandpa’s words, “These trees stand strong against any storm.” Gasping for breath, Sami wrapped his arms and legs around the thick trunk, praying that the water would not pull him away.
“Sami, Sami!” Grandpa cried. “Don’t be scared, little one. Hold on and climb up!” Hearing Grandpa’s voice, Sami gathered his courage. Slowly, inch by inch, he managed to climb higher, away from the raging waves below. From above, he saw Grandpa also holding onto Betu, the other big tree. The water began to recede after what felt like hours. When the sea finally calmed, Grandpa waded over to Petu and looked up at Sami with tears of relief. That night, Sami understood why Grandpa had never cut down his trees — they were not just trees; they were guardians of life.

D

注意:1. 词数应为150个左右;
2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。
Grandpa held Sami’s hand tightly, but a huge wave separated them.
