What is the most popular technology in school probably、What percentage of water does the device save、What does the writer think of reverse thinking,其中“What … think of / feel about”一类要答观点而不是事实。
(2)How 类(10 题,约占 25%):How many 问数量(How many steps are there to develop reverse thinking)、How long 问时长(How long has the United States Weather Bureau used box kites)、How 问方式(How does speech-to-text technology help people who can’t hear well),方式类答案常用 by doing 结构。
Why does AI make a positive change in education。
(Anhui Province. / At Carnegie Mellon University in Doha.)。
(Who does Bob think can change the world with his inventions, a scientist or a writer?),要直接选一个作答。
(6)When 类(3 题,约占 8%):问时间,答案多为 in the next five years、more than 2,000 years ago 一类的时间状语。
(7)一般疑问句(1 题,约占 3%):Did the principal agree to remove the nest? 必须用 No, he didn’t.
【点拨1】Where 题直接答介词短语,不必重复题干——以 Test 1 题 1 为例:题干问 Bob 来自哪里,原文首句写 “My name is Bob. I am from America.”,from 后面就是答案,故答 America. 或写完整句 He is from America.。提示:Where 题的答案几乎都藏在 from / in / at / live in 后面,抄下来即可;如果题干问的是 Which country,答案是 America 而不是 American——问地点答地点,问人答国籍词。
【点拨2】Why 题顺着 because 抄,人称要跟着换——以 Test 2 题 3 为例:题干问 AI 为什么给教育带来积极变化,原文写 “Mike thinks it is a positive change in education because it helps prepare students for future life and work.”,原因就在 because 后面,故答 Because it helps prepare students for future life and work.。
【点拨3】How many 题回原文逐项点数——以 Test 1 题 4 为例:题干问 Bob 提到钢笔能做几件事,原文写 “We can write a novel or a song, record information, or draw a picture.”,逐项点下来是写小说/写歌、记录信息、画画三类,其中 write a novel or a song 算两件事,共四件,故答 Four.。
【点拨4】How long 答 for + 时间段——以 Test 5 题 5 为例:题干问美国气象局用箱形风筝收集天气信息多久了,原文写 “The United States Weather Bureau has used box kites to collect weather information for 35 years.”,for 后面就是时长,故答 For 35 years.。提示:How long 问的是“持续多久”,答案一定是 for + 时间段(for 35 years)或 since + 时间点;题干若用现在完成时(has used),答语也保持完成时或直接用 For …
【点拨5】How 问方式,用 by doing 作答——以 Test 8 题 3 为例:题干问语音转文字技术如何帮助听障人士,原文写 “There’s also speech-to-text technology, helping people who can’t hear well by showing them the words spoken aloud.”,by 后面就是方式,故答 By showing them the words spoken aloud.。
【点拨6】一般疑问句先定 Yes / No,再补主语与助动词——以 Test 7 题 2 为例:题干问校长是否同意移除鸟巢,原文写 “He could simply cut off the branch (树枝) with the nest, but instead, he wrote back a warm reply to refuse the request.”,instead 与 refuse 说明他拒绝了,故答 No, he didn’t.。
【点拨7】百分比题只答数字与单位——以 Test 4 题 4 为例:题干问这个装置能节省百分之几的水,原文写 “Tests show it reduces water use by 50% compared to traditional irrigation.”,by 后面就是幅度,故答 50% (of water use).。
First, discuss the question in an opposite way、Second, offer possible answers and choose at least two、Then, think about the most important parts,到 “Finally, go back to your problem and reverse your solutions.” There are four steps. / Four.。
【点拨9】B 部分书信与邮件:称呼、正文、落款一个都不能少——以 Test 7 题 6 为例:A 部分讲的是深圳宝安中学学生因噪鹃鸣叫影响备考而写信请求移巢(原文写 “The loud calls from the koels troubled the students while they were preparing for the Gaokao.”),B 部分要求以当事学生的身份给校长回信。
【点拨10】B 部分命题作文:标题与开头已给,只写主体——以 Test 5 题 6 为例:A 部分介绍的是风筝的两千多年历史与它在科学上的用途(原文写 “The first record of a kite was more than 2,000 years ago in China.”),B 部分要求以 My Favorite Traditional Art—Kites 为题写短文。
• 照抄原文时人称要换:原文 I / my,答题一般改成 he / she / his / her;时态跟提问走。
Yes, he did.
• How 问方式用 by doing;How long 答 for + 时间段;What percentage 只答数字与单位。

My name is Bob. I am from America. I am 15 years old. Many people ask me what my favourite invention is. I find it hard to answer the question, because there are so many inventions that I can choose. They are all great. However, I have chosen the pen. Don’t you think it’s surprising?
I think the pen is powerful. To most people, the pen is not the best, but to me, it stands for possibility. Although the pen is not big, we can use it to do many things. We can write a novel or a song, record information, or draw a picture.
The pen is like the beginning of something amazing to me. Every day, I write a new page with my pen, and I am slowly making a path for my future. Maybe I will be a scientist and change the world with my inventions. Maybe I’ll become a musician and touch people’s hearts with my music. Or perhaps I will be a writer and move people through words.
There will be so many possibilities in my life in the future. I know that with the pen in my hand, I will write a good future for myself. Everything is possible as long as I don’t give up.

Great inventions are changing and improving our lives in many ways. A 3D printer, one of the great inventions, is like a magical machine. It can turn computer designs into real things. What is more amazing is that two young scientists made a special 3D food printer in Qatar. It can use bits of vegetables to create food!
The two smart inventors, Annan and Mansoori, were students at Carnegie Mellon University in Doha. To make a 3D carrot, they first used very small parts of a real carrot and made lots of carrot cells (细胞) in a science lab. Then they used these tiny parts to create the ink used in their printer. By using vegetable cells and ultraviolet light (紫外线), a new carrot is printed. UV light is a kind of energy that helps stick the carrot bits together. They chose carrots for the test because scientists knew a lot about how carrot parts grew into plants. Mansoori said, “3D-printed food will be made cheaply. It doesn’t require large areas of land.”
The invention may help with food shortage in some areas. Today, about 700 million people are facing hunger in the world. Mansoori hopes 3D printers will be used in restaurants, supermarkets and hospitals. The purpose, she said, is to make food reachable to people all over the world.

Wu Yuhan, a 16-year-old from Anhui, is a rising star in teen science. She is the youngest winner of the 2026 National Teen Science Innovation Award for her “Smart Water Saver” device.
Wu loved science from a young age. At 10, she built a simple alarm clock using spare parts. When she was 13, a drought in her village made her realize how precious water is. She decided to invent a device to help farmers save water.
Her “Smart Water Saver” attaches to farm irrigation pipes. It uses sensors to detect soil moisture and only releases water when the soil is dry. Tests show it reduces water use by 50% compared to traditional irrigation. Wu built the first prototype in her school lab, using mostly recycled materials to keep costs low.
Her teachers and classmates supported her throughout the process. Her physics teacher helped her fix sensor errors, and her friends volunteered to test the device on their family farms. Wu says, “I couldn’t have done this without them. Teamwork makes impossible things possible.”
Wu’s invention has already been used by 20 farmers in her village, saving them thousands of liters of water. She hopes to improve the device and make it available to farmers across China. “Science isn’t just about winning awards,” she says. “It’s about solving real problems and helping people.”

Kites have been flown in Japan for hundreds of years. In the 1700s, kites were flown to give thanks for a good harvest. Today in Japan, flying kites is regarded as a part of a celebration at the beginning of a new year.
Kites have been used for scientific purposes in the Western world. In 1752, Benjamin Franklin tied a key to a kite and flew it in a storm to find out that lightning was a form of electricity. In the 1890s, Lawrence Hargrave invented the box kite to test ideas about flight. The United States Weather Bureau has used box kites to collect weather information for 35 years. Test 6
There are different ways to think about and solve problems. Most people just think in the so-called “forward (向前的) way”. For example, taking out the water isn’t the only way to save the boy in a water vat (缸). Breaking the vat to let the water out can also solve the problem. This is called reverse thinking (逆向思维), which means considering a problem in an opposite way.
Reverse thinking is considered as a really useful problem-solver, especially when students fail to solve a problem with forward thinking.
Then how to develop reverse thinking? First, discuss the question in an opposite way like “How can I have a bad relationship with my parents?” Second, offer possible answers and choose at least two. That can give you lots of possibilities. For example, never communicate with them, be impolite to them, or never help at home. Then, think about the most important parts—being impolite to them and never communicating with them. Finally, go back to your problem and reverse your solutions. I should be polite to my parents, communicate with them actively, or write to them twice a week.
All in all, reverse thinking is a useful skill for students to improve themselves, as it can help them become more open-minded and creative problem-solvers in all areas of their lives. What’s more, it can make them become better people.
1.How does the writer introduce the topic of reverse thinking in Paragraph 1, by giving an example or comparing facts?

Have you ever been troubled by a loud noise while preparing for an important exam? That’s exactly what happened to some students at Shenzhen Bao’an Middle School in March 2026. At first, a male (雄性的) koel (噪鹃) sang loudly in a tree with a nest (鸟巢). Soon more koels came and their loud songs filled the school. The loud calls from the koels troubled the students while they were preparing for the Gaokao. Because of this, a stressed student wrote to the principal (校长) and requested (请求) the school to remove the nest.
Principal Yuan Weixing faced a difficult choice. He could simply cut off the branch (树枝) with the nest, but instead, he wrote back a warm reply to refuse the request.
In his letter, the principal explained that the birds were only following their natural instinct (天性). A male koel sings in spring to look for a mate (配偶). “The world does not exist (存在) for just one person,” he told the students. “While the Gaokao is important, learning to live with other living things is also a necessary part of growing up.”
However, the principal didn’t just say no. He also took action. The school offered students earplugs (耳塞) to reduce the noise and also built artificial nests in a quiet garden far from the teaching buildings to attract the birds away.
The story quickly became popular online. Many people praised the principal for turning a noisy problem into a valuable lesson about life.

Technology is everywhere! From when we wake up to when we go to bed, we use machines and gadgets (小器具) that make our lives easier. These things help us with our lives, from studying at school to hanging around with friends. They can even be a lifesaver, especially when we run into problems.
The most popular technology in school is probably computers. They help us learn in fun and exciting ways. For kids who find subjects hard, some apps can turn tricky lessons into a piece of cake!
Many smartphone apps are a part of modern technology that can help people face challenges. For example, money-reading apps help those who can’t see well know how much money they have. If you can’t see well, these apps can help you use the right bills and get the correct change (找给你的零钱) back.
Another cool technology is text-to-speech. It helps both kids and adults. Kids use it to read stories, while adults listen to e-mails or documents with it. There’s also speech-to-text technology, helping people who can’t hear well by showing them the words spoken aloud.
Have you ever lost the use of a leg, even for a short time? If so, you know how helpful wheelchairs (轮椅) can be. Thanks to technology, some new designs can climb stairs, and scientists are working on wheelchairs that can be controlled by thoughts. Imagine being able to tell your chair where to go with your mind!
Voice control is another helpful technology. It lets people operate devices (操作装置) with the sound of their voices. You can find this in many products, like keyboards, smartphones, and cars!
What’s on the horizon (即将出现) for technology? Nobody can say for sure!
1.What is the most popular technology in school probably?

姓名:___________班级:___________座号:___________

Dear classmates,
I’m Li Ming, a big fan of new technology, and I am very excited to share my design with you all.
My design is a smart schoolbag. It looks the same as a common schoolbag, but it has a thin built-in screen. The schoolbag is made of light but super strong materials, so it won’t break easily. More importantly, it can store e-books to take the weight off our shoulders, and also remind us of daily class timetable and homework. Besides, it’s friendly to the environment, as it runs on solar power.
I design the smart schoolbag mainly to help students learn more easily and make life more convenient.
Thank you for your listening!

_______________________________________________________________
2.What does reverse thinking mean?
_______________________________________________________________
3.When do students most probably use reverse thinking?

1.Why did the student ask the school to remove the nest?

1.Because the loud calls from the koels troubled the students while they were preparing for the Gaokao. 2.No, he didn’t./No. 3.It sings in spring to look for a mate. 4.By building artificial nests in a quiet garden far from the teaching buildings. 5.They praised the principal for turning a noisy problem into a valuable lesson about life.
Dear Principal Yuan,
I am the student who wrote to you about the noisy koels. Thank you for your kind reply.
At first, I felt upset because the loud calls troubled my studies. I thought moving the nest was the only answer. After reading your warm letter and seeing your actions, I learned two lessons. First, we should respect nature, as all living things have their own life habits. Second, instead of removing the problem, we can find kind and creative solutions, like providing earplugs and building other nests.
In the future, I will think of proper solutions, not just myself. Thank you for this valuable lesson.
Sincerely,
Your student

I look forward to it because it can take good care of the elderly. Then their children can focus on work without much worry. I really hope this invention helps people live a warmer life.
Yours,
A student from 2026
