;paid、spent主语必须是人;took多用于it takes sb. time的句型,不能用来描述商品价格。
据下文“There was a pair of shoes(店里有一双鞋)”,说明她走进鞋店。walked into“走进”;went out of “走出”、went through“穿过”、looked for“寻找”和进店看到商品的情节不符。
but“但是”;and表并列、or表选择、so表因果,不能表达转折。
my“我的”、your“你的”、his“他的”人称不匹配 Lucy。

根据上文“Let’s have a competition”,可知这是理财比赛,competition表示“比赛”,应选用competition。
provide sb. with sth. showed“展示”,offered“主动提供”(常用搭配offer sb. sth.,不与with连用),sent“寄送”,均不符合本句sb. with sth.结构。

根据前文“He used to spend it on snacks and toys carelessly”可知,他过去常常胡乱花钱,这是一种需要改变的习惯。
根据后文“He wrote down all his expenses and set a limit”可知,他记下所有开支并设定限额,这是在做预算,budget“预算”符合。
根据后文“I need to work hard for my shoes”的对比线索,可知此处指自己不是在做梦,要面对现实。
根据“he even used a tin that everyone can only take the money inside by breaking it”可推测,他使用罐子是为了避免浪费,即“而不是”浪费时间,Instead of“而不是”符合。In need of“需要”、In case of“万一”和In the middle of“在……
