The Vikings were good at building strong ships and sailing on the sea. In the old days, many people thought the Vikings were bad pirates. They traveled by sea and entered many coastal towns in Europe. They fought with swords and shields.
In fact, the Vikings were not only fighters. They were also smart traders and great explorers. They traveled to many new places, like Iceland, Greenland and even North America. They arrived there hundreds of years earlier than Columbus. They built new homes in these new places. The Vikings liked dangerous trips and new discoveries. They had their own old beliefs. As years passed, the Vikings slowly joined local European groups and became part of history.

Hi, it’s Zack! Greetings from Paris! Today we’re exploring some amazing treasures in one of the largest museums on Earth—the Louvre! Let’s go!
Now, right behind me is the Winged Victory of Samothrace. It looks like she just flew down from the sky and landed on a ship. Her head and arms are missing, but you can imagine she’s raising her arms in joy after an ancient war. Look how the wind blows her dress! I can’t believe she’s made of stone. Amazing, isn’t it?
Okay, I’d better move on. Next up is the one and only Mona Lisa. The painting is a lot smaller and is protected by glass. But from here I can get a good view to show you. When I look into her eyes, she seems to have a mind of her own! One moment she seems to be laughing at me, but then again I catch a sense of sadness in her smile. Perhaps that’s why she attracts so many visitors every day.
And now, it’s time to get close to one of history’s greatest artists, Rembrandt. He painted this self-portrait about 400 years ago. Throughout his life, he made over 90 self-portraits. Was it his way of taking a selfie? Or was it simply cheaper to paint himself than to pay for a model? Well, it’s up to you.
About 35,000 works are shown in the Louvre. They really reach out to us across the centuries as if time itself were nothing. I’ll say bye for now and hope you can all visit these works of art one day. By the way, if you enjoy my live show, follow me here to find out where I’m visiting next.

B. A host who’s holding an online tour.
C. An artist who’s giving a speech on art works.
D. A teacher who’s having an art lesson.

The boxcars were taken to each state of America, where they were warmly greeted.
