8 min • Following textbook 4a, begin with ten important areas of life. Work alone first. Compare your choices in a group of three or four, or keep an individual project.

Textbook examples: technology, environment, transport, entertainment, education, shopping, housing and medical care. Add TWO more areas.

2 Make the comparison fair 让比较公平

10 min • Compare the interviewee’s life at YOUR AGE with your life now. Record the place and approximate period. Comparing a grandparent at 70 with a student at 15 would mix age differences with historical change.
