Nothing in the world stays the same but change itself. My life has changed a lot since I entered junior high school.

First of all, great changes have taken place in my study. I used to dislike English and was afraid to speak in public. However, with the help of my teachers and classmates, I can express myself confidently now.  

Besides, my family moved near my school. Everything here is much more convenient. I can put more energy into my study instead of spending plenty of time on the way.

What’s more, thanks to the government’s hard work, the environment around us has improved greatly, and the air is much fresher than before.

首先，我的学业发生了很大变化。我过去不喜欢英语，也不敢在公共场合发言。不过，在老师和同学们的帮助下，我现在可以自信地表达自己了。

此外，我们家搬到了学校附近。这里一切都方便多了。我可以把更多精力投入学习，不用再花费大量时间往返上学。

而且，得益于政府的努力，我们周边的环境得到极大改善，空气也比以前清新很多。

Many things have changed since I was in primary school.

First, I used to be short. But now, I am taller. I used to be shy. Now I am more outgoing. I can talk to others. And I have made some friends.

Third, I have moved to a new house. It is near my school. Now I can walk to school. There are more trees and grass. So, the air around my house is clearer.

There are many admirable people in our life. To me, one of the most inspiring people is Yuan Longping. He is a great scientist respected by all Chinese people. He was born in Beijing in 1930. He is known as the “Father of Hybrid Rice.”

He developed a new kind of rice to help reduce hunger. He trained many people to do farming research. He spent his whole life working in the fields and testing rice plants. He helped solve the food shortage problem for people around the world.

Yuan Longping sets a good example for us. We should learn from him. He has passed away, but his spirit still lives on. It inspires me to work hard for my dreams. I hope I can be a useful person like him in the future.

Now I am an active learner. I review my notes every evening and keep a mistake notebook. I also connect new knowledge with what I have learned.

Good memory helps us learn effectively. However, I came across a memory challenge. I had trouble memorizing new words. As a result, I was poor in English, which made me stressed.

To solve the problem, I tried many methods. To start with, I divided the words into small groups to memorize them. Besides, I organized the words in my notebook and reviewed them every day. What’s more, before I got to bed, I recalled what I had learned that day. Little by little, it became easier for me to recognize and recall words.

These effective ways helped me make great progress in English. In my view, where there is a will, there is a way. As long as you don’t lose heart and keep practising, you will solve your memory challenge.

良好的记忆力帮助我们高效学习。然而，我遇到了记忆难题。我很难记住新单词，因此我的英语很差，这让我压力很大。

为了解决这个问题，我尝试了很多方法。首先，我把单词分成小组来记忆。此外，我把单词整理在笔记本上，每天复习。而且，睡觉前，我会回顾当天学过的内容。渐渐地，识别、回忆单词对我来说变得更容易了。
