根据第二段“When comb jellyfish get hurt, they can join their bodies together and become one big jellyfish! ... This is a skill that no other animals have ever shown. Scientists found this when they saw a strange-looking jellyfish with two mouths and two bottoms in a big water box.”
第三段“In a test, when scientists touched the joined jellyfish, they both felt it. And when one ate a piece of food, it also passed over to the other—just like sharing a snack with a friend!”

B
A boy guarded the barrels (桶) in his father’s winery (葡萄酒厂). Every morning, his father gave him a task of putting the barrels in ____36____, but the wind blew them here and there overnight.
The boy was so ____37____ that he wrote a letter to the wind, “Please don’t blow down my barrels.” After seeing that, his father asked with a smile, “Can the ____38____ read your letter?” The boy said, “I don’t know. I have no choice but to make this request.”
The next morning, when the boy ran to ____39____ the barrels, he found that the barrels were here and there again. The boy felt unhappy and cried. His father said ____40____, “Son, don’t be sad. We may have no way to deal with the wind, ____41____ we may have ways for you.” Then the boy dried his tears and thought over and over. Finally, he thought of an idea. He filled the ____42____ barrels with water. After that, he went home worriedly.
The third morning, the boy was ____43____ to find the barrels were placed in good order. He smiled and told his father, “It’s a very simple way, that is, to make the barrels ____44____.” The boy’s father smiled and nodded his head (点头).

43. A. worried B. excited C. nervous D. afraid
44. A. deeper B. larger C. wider D. heavier
45. A. itself B. themselves C. yourselves D. ourselves
C 37. B 38. B 39. A 40. D 41. C 42. B 43. B 44. D 45. D
in order是固定搭配,意为“井然有序/整齐”,符合语境;time“时间”、a rush“匆忙”、town“城镇”均无法与put the barrels in构成表示摆放状态的短语。

First, it’s necessary to preview before class, listen carefully in class and review after class. Good learning habits are very important. Second, you should read aloud as much as possible. Don’t be afraid of making mistakes. Third, if you have any trouble in learning, please ask your teacher for help in time. Also, reading some simple Chinese stories helps you understand Chinese culture better. Finally, watching Chinese movies is also a good choice to improve your listening.
I hope my advice will be useful. I believe you can make great progress with these methods.
Yours,
Li Hua
