Recently, Su Bingtian, known as “Asia’s Flying Man”, has become very popular on Douyin. He finished his final match at the 2025 National Games of China on November 20th. This men’s 4×100 m relay (接力赛) was the final run of his 21-year track and field career (田径生涯).
Su started his sports life in 2004 when no Asian athletes (运动员) could run 100m under 10 seconds. To achieve his dream, he made training plans: setting mini-goals, improving start speed and strength day by day. In 2011, he became Asia’s top runner with 10.16s. However, he wanted to run faster. In 2014, he bravely changed his starting leg — a difficult decision. That meant he had to start from zero. Following his new plan, his hard work paid off. In 2021, he finished in 9.83 seconds at the Tokyo Olympics and became the first Chinese athlete (运动员) to run in the Olympic 100m final.
21 years later, his final match was full of ritual (仪式). After the race, Su took off his shoes and stood on the track. This reminded his fans of his early training days. With the song Can’t Say Goodbye playing, fans cheered loudly and called it “the most touching goodbye”.
After retiring (退役), Su is going to lead Jinan University’s sports college, training young athletes. He tells young people: “Never let age hold you back. Try harder, and you can write your own story.” Indeed, with clear plans and persistence (坚持), everyone can be a “Su-perman”!

【答案】
Efficient Study
Confucius said, “Learning without thought is labor lost.” It tells us that mastering study methods is very important.
Last year, I struggled to memorize English words and usually forgot them quickly. Later, my English teacher advised me to use mind maps. This new way was both efficient and fun, and it helped me connect words with clear logic. Thanks to this proper method, I made rapid progress in vocabulary tests.
From this experience, I realize suitable methods improve our learning. We should not only work hard but also learn smartly instead of doing useless repetition. I’m sure effective study will bring us a brighter future.
