（一）情境创设

教师播放2026年奥运赛场上中国运动员顽强拼搏、逆风翻盘的比赛集锦，提问：They met many problems, but did they give up? No! They never gave up! 引出课题并板书Unit 3 Never give up!，带领学生齐读课题，读出“永不言弃”的气势。

（二）问题激趣

师：（出示一张奖状图片）Look! Zhang Letian won a prize last Sunday. What was the competition? How did he do it?

生：（自由猜测）A piano competition? He practised a lot?

师：Yes! Zhang Letian won a prize in the piano competition. But he didn’t play well before. What did he do? Let’s listen and find out!

任务一：Watch, listen and do（看一看，听一听，说一说）

1. 观看动画，回答问题

教师播放课文动画，学生观看后回答：

（1）How did Zhang Letian feel after his talk with Miss Li?（He felt relaxed.）

（2）How did Zhang Letian get better at playing the piano?（He made a plan and kept practising every day.）

2. 听音圈词（Listen and circle）

教师再次播放录音，学生圈出张乐天提高琴艺的方法：made a plan / listened to music / watched piano shows / kept practising，师生共同核对答案。

任务二：Listen and read（听音跟读，学句型）

1. 逐句跟读对话，模仿语音语调，注意一般过去时疑问句的读法。

2. 学习核心句型

Andy: How was your piano competition?

Zhang Letian: Great! I won a prize!

Andy: Did you ask for help?

Zhang Letian: Yes, I did. I had a talk with Miss Li. She gave me some tips and made me feel relaxed. And she told me, “Never give up!”

Andy: I was worried at first, but I can cook many dishes for my family now. I learned to cook from my mum and watched cooking shows.
