3. 语言小贴士：记住下面这些表达（先读一读，再在短文中找到它们）。

① be proud of “为……感到自豪”，后接名词或代词。

② instead of “代替；而不是”，后接名词、代词或动名词（doing）。

③ take a look at “看一看”，= have a look at。

④ focus on “专注于”，后接名词或动名词（focus on doing）。

⑤ offer sb. sth. / offer to do sth. “主动提供（某人）某物／主动去做某事”。

⑥ consider + 名词/动名词/宾语从句 “考虑（做）……”。

⑦ put sth. in a new light “使……呈现出新的面貌”，引申为“让事情有了新的看法”。

⑧ be best known as “作为……最为人知”。

⑨ a man of many words “话很多的人”，of + 名词作后置定语。

⑩ undoubtedly “毫无疑问地”，常用于句首作评注性状语。
