Dear Chris,
Hearing that you love sports, I’m writing to introduce the 3rd Yuxi Marathon, which was held in my hometown this October.
Held along Hebin Road, the race drew 20,000 runners, featuring full and half marathons. Not only could participants enjoy the scenic Yuxi River and run past Nie Er Square, but they could also taste local food and watch folk dances. It is this unique blend of sports and culture that made the event truly memorable.
Deeply moved by the passion on the track, I truly believe sports unite us and push us beyond our limits. I sincerely hope you can come and experience it next year. Looking forward to your reply.
Yours,
Li Hua
67. One possible version:
Paragraph 1
A flood of mixed feelings rushed through my whole body.Standing there, I was frozen, my hands trembling uncontrollably. Tears welled up in my eyes, blurring my vision. I wanted to run after her, to beg for her forgiveness, but my feet seemed rooted to the ground. All the anger, all the shame, all the selfishness I had harbored for years crashed down upon me like a tidal wave. I realized then that her one eye had given me the whole world, while my two eyes had been blind to the greatest love ever known.
Paragraph 2
Nothing would ever be quite the same as before.I held that letter tightly against my chest, feeling every word burn into my heart. I rushed out of the house, running toward the small cemetery where she was buried. The wind whipped my face, but I didn't care. Kneeling before her grave, I whispered, "Mom, I see you now. I see your love." From that day on, I lived not just for myself, but for her too — carrying her love in my heart, honoring her memory in every act of kindness, and never forgetting the woman who gave everything so I could see the world.

Welcome to the Fiddy Working Heritage Farm. This open-air museum gives you the experience of agriculture in the English countryside at the end of the nineteenth century. So you’ll see a typical farm of that period, and like me, all the staff are dressed in clothes of that time.
I must give you some advice and safety tips before we go any further. As it’s a working farm, please don’t frighten or injure the animals. We have a lot here, and many of them are now quite rare. And do stay at a safe distance from the tools: some of them have sharp points which can be pretty dangerous, so please don’t touch them. We don’t want any accidents, do we?
The ground is not flat, and I’m glad to see you’re all wearing sports shoes.
Now, children of all ages are very welcome here, and usually even very young children love the ducks and sheep, so do bring them along next time you come. I don’t think any of you have brought dogs with you, but in case you have, I’m afraid they’ll have to stay in the car park.

根据Ghibli Park部分的“Tickets: $15 for adults; $7.5 for children.
根据Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park部分的“Located within Resorts World Genting, about an hour’s drive from Malaysia’s capital Kuala Lumpur, Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park opened in January 2022. 以及第一段中“The following are a series of new parks that have opened around the world in the last five years.
根据第一段中的“They are undoubtedly satisfying getaways for parents and children to squeeze in moments of fun.

Yang Zhenning, born on October 1, 1922 in Hefei City, Anhui province, is a Chinese physicist who made significant contributions.(杨振宁,1922年10月1日出生于安徽省合肥市,是中国一位做出重大贡献的物理学家)"和第二段"In 1935, he told his parents his ambition to “win the Nobel Prize one day,” a childlike “bold statement” that later became a reality in 1957, becoming one of the first two Chinese Nobel Prize winners.(1935年,他告诉父母,他的志向是“有一天能获得诺贝尔奖”,这句孩子气的“大胆宣言”后来在1957年成为现实,他成为首批两位中国诺贝尔奖获得者之一)"可知,杨振宁出生于1922年,1935年向父母表达志向时年仅13岁。
In 1980, he established the “Committee on Scholarly Exchange with China,” sponsoring nearly 100 Chinese scholars to study in the United States over more than a decade. These scholars later became the backbone of China’s scientific and technological development.(1980年,他成立了“中美学术交流委员会”,在十多年的时间里资助了近100名中国学者到美国学习。
根据第六段“In 1999, shortly after retiring, Yang Zhenning came back to Tsinghua University as a full-time professor. He spent the next years raising money to set up the Institute for Advanced Study Foundation, which now helps young scientists work on mathematics, theoretical physics and cold-atom research. Even past eighty he taught General Physics to first-year students, rewrote his lecture notes and held weekly problem sessions. “Returning to Tsinghua is the most important choice of my later life,” he once said.(1999年,退休后不久,杨振宁回到清华大学担任全职教授。
根据第二段“In 1935, he told his parents his ambition to “win the Nobel Prize one day,” a childlike “bold statement” that later became a reality in 1957, becoming one of the first two Chinese Nobel Prize winners.(1935年,他告诉父母,他的志向是“有一天能获得诺贝尔奖”,这句孩子气的“大胆宣言”后来在1957年成为现实,他成为首批两位中国诺贝尔奖获得者之一)”可知,他少年时即立下并获得诺贝尔奖的志向,展现了他的雄心壮志(ambitious);根据第四段“Although he lived abroad, he always cared about his motherland.(虽然他住在国外,但他一直关心祖国)”以及后文描述他为中国科技发展做出的贡献可推知,杨振宁是一个爱国的人(patriotic)。

根据第二段中的“A primary barrier (阻碍) is a lack of understanding of technology and its advantages, along with difficulty in using high-tech tools, such as smart phones or computers. This often causes them to hesitate to adopt new technology.(主要障碍是对技术及其优势缺乏了解,以及使用智能手机或电脑等高科技工具存在困难。
“It’s not working.” is a complaint co-author Lucia heard many times from her late father, especially when it came to his cell phone, and he used technology well for the most part.(此外,沮丧是常见的。
根据最后一段中的“Older users prefer simple and clear web pages. A previous study showed that many seniors like a website to be user-friendly with a simple interface (界面)... showing the ongoing need for age-friendly technological solutions.(老年用户更喜欢简洁明了的网页。
通读全文,尤其是首段“Traditionally, older people struggle with new tech, but this doesn’t have to be the case. With proper design, even the most hesitant user can unlock its significant benefits.(传统上,老年人在使用新技术时会遇到困难,但情况未必一定如此。 故选A项。

根据第一段中的“A major reason why plastic bags and yogurt containers aren’t recycled is that it’s much more frugal to make these products from the ground up (从头开始) than to recover them.(塑料袋和酸奶盒未被回收的一个主要原因是,从头开始制造这些产品比回收利用它们要frugal得多。)”
根据第二段中的“The strong carbon-carbon bonds in these plastics require very high temperatures to break, making the process energy-consuming.(塑料中牢固的碳碳键需要极高温度才能断裂,这使得回收过程十分耗能。)”
根据第三段中的“Researchers developed a way to turn these plastics into useful fuels at temperatures below 100℃, without creating any side products.(研究人员开发了一种在100℃以下将这些塑料转化为有用燃料的方法,且不产生任何副产物。)”以及“It takes only three hours and occurs at 70℃.(仅需三小时即可完成,且反应温度为 70℃。)”
根据最后一段中的“But it will take more research to know whether the technique can be translated to more occasions.(但要了解这项技术能否推广到更多场合,还需要更多的研究。)”

Participants often give away their feelings unconsciously through body language in the moment."(参与者常常会在当下通过肢体语言无意识地流露自己的情绪),以及后文"Here are two fundamental but highly motivational signs that should be watched for."(以下是两个核心且极具激励性的信号,值得你重点关注)可知,此空需衔接"肢体语言能流露情绪"与"介绍具体信号",强调"掌握肢体语言的意义"。D选项"Grasping this silent language can be an advantage in many situations."(掌握这种无声的语言在很多场景下都是一种优势)符合语境。故选D项。
This indicates that a person creates an unconscious barrier between themselves and others."(这表明此人会在自己与他人之间建立一种无意识的屏障)可知,此空需引出"交叉手臂"这一肢体语言信号,作为本段主题句。G选项"One of the most basic body-language signals is when a person crosses his arms across the chest."(最基本的肢体语言信号之一是当一个人交叉双臂放在胸前时)符合语境,引出下文对交叉手臂含义的解读。故选G项。
When the overall situation is friendly, it can mean that a person thinks deeply about what is being discussed."(当整体氛围友好时,这可能意味着此人正在深入思考所讨论的内容),以及后文"When you see such body signals, you need to adjust your presentation to fit a hostile situation."(当你看到这样的肢体信号时,需要调整表达方式以适应敌对场景)可知,此空需与"友好氛围下的含义"形成对比,说明"严肃/敌对场景下的含义"。E选项"But in a serious situation, it can mean that a person is expressing opposition."(但在严肃的场景下,这可能意味着此人在表达反对意见)符合语境。故选E项。
If, for instance, you're negotiating salary with your boss when you notice these signals, realize that he is not thinking favorably."(例如,当你和老板谈薪资时注意到这些信号,要意识到他对你的想法并不认可)可知,此空需承接"老板不认可涨薪"的含义,说明可能的结果。A选项"Your raise could probably be in question."(你的加薪可能会成问题)符合语境。故选A项。
If you sense that they are upset about something, ask about their thoughts on the subject. If you sense that they're bored, guide the conversation to a different topic."(如果你感觉到他们对某件事感到不安,问问他们对这件事的看法。 When someone keeps eye contact, try to figure out their thoughts or feelings."(当有人持续与你眼神接触时,试着揣摩他们的想法或情绪)符合语境。

“It is +形容词+ to do sth.” 故填to admire。
故填on。
故填where。
“Most Chinese lanterns”与“make”之间是被动关系,即“灯笼被制作”,所以用一般现在时的被动语态,其结构为“am/is/are +过去分词”,主语“Most Chinese lanterns”是复数,所以用are made。故填are made。
“varieties of...”
故填their。
present与逻辑主语“The clever hands of Zigong craftsmen”之间是主动关系,所以用现在分词presenting作伴随状语。故填presenting。
故填a。
66.
Dear Chris,
Hearing that you love sports, I’m writing to introduce the 3rd Yuxi Marathon, which was held in my hometown this October.
Yours,
Li Hua
Hearing that you love sports, I’m writing to introduce the 3rd Yuxi Marathon, which was held in my hometown this October.
解析: 句中的”which was held in my hometown this October”为which引导的非限制性定语从句,修饰先行词”the 3rd Yuxi Marathon”,补充说明该赛事的举办时间和地点。 I’m writing to introduce the 3rd Yuxi Marathon. Hearing that you love sports”为现在分词短语作原因状语,其逻辑主语与主句主语”I”一致,表示”鉴于你喜欢运动”,使背景交代与主句衔接自然紧凑。
Held along Hebin Road, the race drew 20,000 runners, featuring full and half marathons.
3. 考查倒装句(Not only…but also…
Not only could participants enjoy the scenic Yuxi River and run past Nie Er Square, but they could also taste local food and watch folk dances.
解析: “Not only…but…also…”
(It is…that…)
It is this unique blend of sports and culture that made the event truly memorable.
解析: 采用”It is + 被强调部分 + that + 剩余部分”的强调句型,此处强调的是主语”this unique blend of sports and culture”(运动与文化的独特融合)。
Deeply moved by the passion on the track, I truly believe sports unite us and push us beyond our limits.
Because I was deeply moved by…" I truly believe sports unite us and push us beyond our limits"中"sports unite us and push us beyond our limits"为省略that的宾语从句,表达作者对运动意义的深刻感悟——运动不仅能够凝聚人心、团结社区,还能激励人们不断突破自我极限,点明了全文关于运动价值的核心思想,使文章在结尾处升华主题,富有感染力。
"All the anger, all the shame, all the selfishness I had harbored for years crashed down upon me like a tidal wave."
"I rushed out of the house, running toward the small cemetery... Kneeling before her grave, I whispered..."
"Tears welled up in my eyes, blurring my vision."
"All the anger, all the shame, all the selfishness I had harbored for years..."
"her one eye had given me the whole world, while my two eyes had been blind to the greatest love ever known."
"Mom, I see you now. I see your love."
"I see you now. I see your love."
"...the woman who gave everything so I could see the world."
see the world"与前文"my two eyes had been blind"形成首尾呼应,将个人情感升华为对母爱精神的礼赞,余韵悠长,符合高考"升华主题"的评分要求。
① "Standing there, I was frozen..."
② "Kneeling before her grave, I whispered..."
③ "I rushed out of the house, running toward the small cemetery..."
"Tears welled up in my eyes, blurring my vision."
"I held that letter tightly against my chest, feeling every word burn into my heart."
"I wanted to run after her, to beg for her forgiveness..."
两个不定式并列(to run... to beg...),节奏紧凑。
"...I was frozen, my hands trembling uncontrollably."
(1)not just...but (also)...
"I lived not just for myself, but for her too..."
此处用but for her too替代标准的but also for her,更口语化、更自然,符合续写的叙事语气。
(2)so...that...的变体
"...the woman who gave everything so I could see the world."
解析:so...that...
(3)be rooted to the ground...
范文中 "but my feet seemed rooted to the ground."
(4)carry/honor/never forget...
解析:范文结尾 "carrying her love in my heart, honoring her memory in every act of kindness, and never forgetting the woman who gave everything so I could see the world" 中,carry/honor/never forget 三个动词现在分词构成排比结构,同时 carry...in one's heart、honor one's memory 均为高考高频固定搭配,一举多得。

Yang Zhenning, born on October 1, 1922 in Hefei City, Anhui province, is a Chinese physicist who made significant contributions.
In 1935, he told his parents his ambition to “win the Nobel Prize one day,” a childlike “bold statement” that later became a reality in 1957, becoming one of the first two Chinese Nobel Prize winners.
In 1945, he was chosen as a government-sponsored student from Tsinghua University to study in the United States. Three years later he earned his Ph. D.at the University of Chicago, where Professor Enrico Fermi became his hero and guide. With Fermi’s recommendation, he moved in 1949, to the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton and began a shining academic life.
Although he lived abroad, he always cared about his motherland. Learning that China’s atomic bomb was developed independently, he was deeply moved to tears. He gave lectures and speeches, causing an increase of Chinese scholars visiting China.
In 1980, he established the “Committee on Scholarly Exchange with China,” sponsoring nearly 100 Chinese scholars to study in the United States over more than a decade. These scholars later became the backbone of China’s scientific and technological development.
In 1999, shortly after retiring, Yang Zhenning came back to Tsinghua University as a full-time professor. He spent the next years raising money to set up the Institute for Advanced Study Foundation, which now helps young scientists work on mathematics, theoretical physics and cold-atom research. Traditionally, older people struggle with new tech, but this doesn’t have to be the case. With proper design, even the most hesitant user can unlock its significant benefits.
A primary barrier (阻碍) is a lack of understanding of technology and its advantages, along with difficulty in using high-tech tools, such as smart phones or computers. This often causes them to hesitate to adopt new technology. This is a mistake. Older people themselves must decide whether they want to accept new technology or miss out on its advantages.
Indeed, technology — particularly through platforms like social media — offers seniors invaluable opportunities: connecting with new friends, staying in touch with old ones and learning new skills. When seniors do adopt technology, the reasons are typically twofold: they’re forced to do so and they want to make their lives easier. Understanding these motivations is important for anyone aiming to encourage tech adoption among older adults.
Despite the increasing necessity of technology in modern life, some seniors resist (抵抗), arguing, “I managed before without technology. Why do I need it now?” Furthermore, frustration (沮丧) is common. “It’s not working.” is a complaint co-author Lucia heard many times from her late father, especially when it came to his cell phone, and he used technology well for the most part. Specific issues, such as struggling with tiny keypads or reading small text message fonts (字体), were constant sources of difficulty.
Addressing these issues requires better technology design made for seniors. Older users prefer simple and clear web pages. A previous study showed that many seniors like a website to be user-friendly with a simple interface (界面). As the study showed, “A simpler and more uniformly designed Internet would help to break down the psychological barriers faced by older users.” Although the study was conducted years ago, the problem with web design for senior users remains unresolved today, showing the ongoing need for age-friendly technological solutions.
28.Why do older people hesitate to accept new techs?
A.They have limited access to digital devices.
B.They find hi-tech products challenging to operate.
C.They have a negative attitude towards all new technologies.
D.They lack the basic knowledge to maintain digital tools.
29.What can we learn from the example of Lucia’s father?
A.Seniors can’t understand the text messages they receive.
B.Seniors refuse to use the small keypad on their phone.
C.Seniors often feel upset when using new technologies.
D.Seniors always face the breakdown of smart phones.
30.What might be discussed in the next paragraph?
A.Psychological barriers of seniors to adopt new technologies.
B.User-friendly solutions for fixing various computer problems.
C.Further studies related to seniors’ dissatisfaction with hi-techs.
D.Effective ways for web designers to simplify website interfaces.
31.What is the best title for the text?
A.Bridging the Tech Gap: Designing Senior-Friendly Technology.
B.To Say Yes to the Smart Phone: A Beautiful Mistake.
C.To Use or Not to Use: A Technological Barrier.
D.Unlocking Benefits: Why Seniors Need Technology?
D
A major reason why plastic bags and yogurt containers aren’t recycled is that it’s much more frugal to make these products from the ground up (从头开始) than to recover them. A new recycling technique reported in the journal Science promises a cost-effective way to transform these common plastic waste items into high-quality liquid fuels.
What makes plastics useful, namely their strength and resistance to high temperatures, becomes an annoyance when it comes to recycling the materials. The strong carbon-carbon bonds in these plastics require very high temperatures to break, making the process energy-consuming. Once the bonds break, the smaller molecules (分子) that are created quickly form new bonds, giving unwanted chemicals. These side products then have to be broken down again, adding time and complexity.
Researchers developed a way to turn these plastics into useful fuels at temperatures below 100℃, without creating any side products. They conduct the chemical reaction in the presence of a new type of catalyst (催化剂) in a special acidic solution. In these reaction conditions, as soon as the carbon bonds in the plastic break apart, new bonds form in a controlled way, giving off the chemicals called alkanes. The alkanes can be used either as a fuel or as a raw material for new plastics. The entire reaction takes place in a single reaction container. It takes only three hours and occurs at 70℃. By comparison, existing recycling techniques typically require two stages, take much longer and need temperatures of over 200℃.
The catalyst that the researchers use is already used by some factories. But it will take more research to know whether the technique can be translated to more occasions. If so, such a one-step, low-cost method to turn single-use plastics into chemicals, fuels and high-value materials could go a long way in making the plastic economy sustainable.
32.What does the underlined word “frugal” mean in Paragraph 1?
A.Typical. B.Reliable. C.Expensive. D.Economical.
33.What can we know about plastics from Paragraph 2?
A.They stretch easily and quickly. B.They fail to resist heat perfectly.
C.They are chemically stable. D.They produce deadly gases.
34.What is the main feature of the new way of recycling plastics?
A.Keeping new bonds from forming. B.Requiring high-temperature conditions.
C.Stressing cleanliness and speed. D.Extending the functions of plastics.
35.What is the researchers’ attitude toward the technique’s wide application?
A.Unconcerned. B.Cautious. C.Hopeless. D.Opposed.

Body language is a kind of communication using body movements or gestures. It involves the slightest movements that go unnoticed, such as a quick wink or a minor lift of the eyebrows. Participants often give away their feelings unconsciously through body language in the moment. 3 36 Here are two fundamental but highly motivational signs that should be watched for.
37 This indicates that a person creates an unconscious barrier between themselves and others. It can also indicate that he is cold. When the overall situation is friendly, it can mean that a person thinks deeply about what is being discussed. 38 When you see such body signals, you need to adjust your presentation to fit a hostile (敌对的) situation. If, for instance, you’re negotiating salary with your boss when you notice these signals, realize that he is not thinking favorably. 39
The other one is consistent eye contact. It indicates that a person is thinking positively of what the speaker is saying. It can also mean that the other person doesn’t trust the speaker enough to “take his eyes off” the speaker. 40 If you sense that they are upset about something, ask about their thoughts on the subject. If you sense that they’re bored, guide the conversation to a different topic. When you have the advantage of reading inner feelings from body signals, encourage the person to express themselves. It will deepen communication, leading to greater efficiency of the conversation.
A.Your raise could probably be in question.
B.You should persuade him to think twice about the pay rise.
C.People from all walks of life use body language in all fields.
D.Grasping this silent language can be an advantage in many situations.
E.But in a serious situation, it can mean that a person is expressing opposition.
F.When someone keeps eye contact, try to figure out their thoughts or feelings.
G.One of the most basic body-language signals is when a person crosses his arms across the chest.

My mother only has one eye. I have hated her ever since I was young. I was always overcome with anger whenever she came near me, and I felt deeply ashamed. She worked as a cook in my school, preparing lunch for students and teachers every day. I never wanted anyone to discover that she was my mother.
One afternoon, as I was walking home from school, I caught sight of my mother standing near the school gate. She waved at me with a warm smile and called out, "Hello, my dear!" A wave of embarrassment washed over me. How could she behave like this in front of everyone? Without uttering a word, I turned around and ran away as fast as I could.
The next day at school, one of my classmates pointed at me and laughed, "Hey, your mother only has one eye!" I was at a loss for words. I wished she would simply disappear from my life. That evening, I shouted at her, "If you only exist to make people laugh at me, why don't you just die?" She said nothing. She merely wiped her eyes and walked into her room.
Years later, I moved to another city and built a life with my own family. One day, there was a knock at the door. When I opened it, my mother stood there. My children stared at her in astonishment. I shouted, "Go away!" She looked at me with profound sadness and whispered, "I'm sorry. I must have the wrong address." Then she turned and walked away without looking back.
A few years later, she passed away. Someone gave me a letter from her. It read:
"My dearest son, I think of you every day. I am sorry for coming to your home... You see, when you were little, you lost your eye in an accident. As your mother, I gave you mine. I am glad that you can see the whole world through my eyes. With all my love, Your mother."
