3. 写作小贴士（本课语言重点：描述阅读习惯的句式与时态）：

① be full of 意为“充满”，后接名词。如：our home is full of books on different subjects。

② used to do sth 意为“过去常常做某事”，只用于过去，强调现在已不如此。如：my mother used to sit me on her knee.

③ by oneself 意为“独自；独立地”，比 alone 更强调“靠自己、无人帮助”。如：Soon, I was reading by myself.

④ over time 意为“随着时间的推移”。如：Over time, I found children's books no longer kept me interested.

⑤ no longer = not ... any longer，意为“不再”，常置于 be 动词、助动词后，实义动词前。如：children's books no longer kept me interested.

⑥ keep sb interested 意为“使某人保持兴趣”，keep 后接宾语 + 形容词。如：children's books no longer kept me interested.

⑦ open up new worlds 意为“打开新世界”，allow sb to do sth 意为“允许某人做某事”。如：Reading opened up new worlds and allowed me to discover new things for myself.

⑧ in general 意为“总的来说；大体上”，常置于句首或句末。如：In general, I prefer print books, but sometimes I read e-books.

⑨ now that 意为“既然”，引导原因状语从句。如：Now that I am older, I can always find time to read in the school library.

⑩ 时态要分清：描述现在的阅读习惯用一般现在时（I read / I prefer / I find）；回忆过去的阅读经历用一般过去时（used to tell / I found / I started）；说明阅读带来的变化与收获用现在完成时（has helped / have read）。
