1.________ my parents ________ I am in low spirits lately. Our pet dog has been ill these days.
A.Neither; nor B.Not only; but also C.Either; or D.Both; and
也不……(表否定);Not only...but also不仅…… 根据“Our pet dog has been ill these days”可知,父母和“我”都情绪低落,应选表示“两者都”或“不仅…… Both...and... Not only...but also...
2.Dr. Fang is a warm and ________ person. She can always ________ surprising new ideas that make her lectures lively and unforgettable.
A.creative; come up with B.curious; pay attention to
C.modest; keep in order D.energetic; show off

creative有创造力的;curious好奇的;modest谦虚的;energetic活力四射的;come up with想出;pay attention to注意;keep in order维持秩序;show off炫耀。 其他选项含义与语境不符,应填come up with。
3.—Could you tell me ________ the new 54-tram (有轨电车) line in Hongqijie?
—It’s really wonderful.
A.what do you think of B.what you think of
C.how do you like D.how you think of
what do you think of你认为……怎么样(疑问句语序);what you think of你认为……怎么样(陈述句语序);how do you like你觉得……怎么样(疑问句语序);how you think of表达错误。根据“Could you tell me”可知,后面是宾语从句,应用陈述句语序;what you think of表示“你认为……怎么样”,应填what you think of。
4.—I ________ if you ________ like to go hiking with us this weekend.
—I’d love to! Where are you planning to go?
A.wondered; will B.was wondering; would
C.have wondered; will D.wonder; would
I was wondering if... 第一空填was wondering,固定搭配would like to do sth.,表示“想要做某事”,第二空填would。故填was wondering; would。
5.— The film attracts such a large audience. They think highly of it.
— ________. I almost cried.
A.So it is B.So is it C.So it does D.So does it
So it is的确如此;So is it它也是;So it does的确如此;So does it它也是。so it does/So it is用于赞同前面说的情况;so does it/So is it表示另一事物也一样。 根据答句“I almost cried.”
6.Fan Jinshi, ________ the “Daughter of Dunhuang” has________ done lots of things for girls in Yunnan.
A.known for; really B.known as; truly C.famous for; truly D.known to; really
第一空中,主语Fan Jinshi与know之间是被动关系,且后接“Daughter of Dunhuang”这一称号,应用known as结构,表示“作为……
7.—Why do you enjoy practising Tai Chi in the park every morning?

A.flow B.stream C.move D.course

A.cut off; stress B.cut up; housework C.cut out; pressure D.cut down; homework

cut off切断;stress压力;cut up切碎;housework家务;cut out删减;pressure压力;cut down消减;homework家庭作业。第一空,根据“There are too many after-school classes”可知,父母需要移除部分课程,cut out“删减”符合语境;第二空,指过多的课程会带来压力,pressure“压力”符合语境。
10.We can’t use the phone in class because it may ________ our attention from the lesson.
A.keep up B.take away C.put away D.take off
keep up保持;take away拿走、转移;put away收起来;take off起飞、脱掉。根据“We can’t use the phone in class”以及“our attention from the lesson”可知,上课使用手机会分散精力,此处语境表示“转移”注意力,符合take away的含义。

根据前文提及她初中成绩优异以及文末“The challenge is to become…”
根据后文“she knew it would be difficult for her to be selected”可知,竞选啦啦队员的竞争非常激烈,对手们都身怀才艺,应选用talented表示“有才华的;有天赋的”。
根据前文“Her heart got down as the list ended without her name”可知,初试落选让Amy的心情跌入谷底,感觉糟糕透顶,应选用awful表示“难过的;糟糕的”。
根据空后的“math”以及下文“She moved on to English and history”的承接可知,此处是固定短语start with sth.,表示“从…… for“为了”,of“关于”,in“在……
Smith的回答“we have…writers for the newspaper already”可知,Amy想要应聘的是学校的校报团队,应选用newspaper与school构成school newspaper,表示“校报”。
根据后文“Come back next year and we'll talk then”拒绝接收新成员的态度可知,校报目前的撰稿人手已经满员充裕,形容词enough意为“足够的”,应选用enough修饰writers表示人员已饱和。
根据前文“Amy tried hard to work on the problems that had given her so much trouble”可知,Amy在课上刻苦钻研困扰自己的难题,最终理解了正确的解题方法,固定搭配get sth. right意为“把某事做对;把题目解答正确”,应选用right表示“正确的”。

Last term, Li Hua, a ninth-grader in a small town, had a problem with his English. He could not understand a long article in his textbook, and nobody at home could explain it to him. Then his teacher told the class about a new study app. Li Hua took a photo of the article, and the app explained the difficult sentences in simple Chinese and gave him three questions to check his understanding.
“It is like having a patient teacher who never gets tired,” Li Hua said. Within a month, his reading score went up by ten points.
Thousands of students across the country are now using such AI tools. They help with maths problems, correct writing mistakes, and even make a study plan for the coming week. For students in small towns and villages, these tools are especially helpful, because good teachers and learning materials are not always easy to find.
However, teachers have also noticed some problems. Some students simply copy the answers the app gives them. They finish their homework quickly, but they learn very little. Others use the app so often that they stop thinking on their own. “AI can give you an answer in one second,” said one teacher, “but it cannot give you the ability to think”. So how should students use these tools? Most experts say that AI works best when it helps us do something instead of doing everything for us. We may ask it to explain a sentence, to give an example, or to check our work, but we should always try by ourselves first. After all, the purpose of study is not to finish homework, but to make our minds stronger.
26.Why are AI study tools especially helpful to students in small towns and villages?
A.Because they have more free time.
B.Because good teachers and learning materials are not always easy to find there.
C.Because their schools have no textbooks.
D.Because they cannot go to school.
27.What problem does the teacher mention in Paragraph 4?
A.The app often gives wrong answers.
B.The app is too expensive for most families.
C.Some students copy the answers and learn little.
D.Homework becomes too difficult for students.
28.What does the teacher mean by “it cannot give you the ability to think”?
A.AI is not clever enough to answer questions.
B.An answer from AI cannot make your mind stronger.
C.Students should never use AI at all.
D.Thinking is less important than answers.
29.What does the writer advise students to do?
A.Ask AI to do their homework for them.
B.Let AI make all their study plans.
C.Try by themselves first and use AI as a helper.
D.Stop using AI completely.
26.第三段“For students in small towns and villages, these tools are especially helpful, because good teachers and learning materials are not always easy to find.”
27.第四段“However, teachers have also noticed some problems. Some students simply copy the answers the app gives them. They finish their homework quickly, but they learn very little.”
28.第四段“AI can give you an answer in one second, but it cannot give you the ability to think... After all, the purpose of study is not to finish homework, but to make our minds stronger.”
29.第四段“Most experts say that AI works best when it helps us do something instead of doing everything for us... but we should always try by ourselves first.”

The new rules also explain how people can use the videos. They are only for legal (合法的) reasons, like solving crimes and emergency response (应急救援). For example, if a child goes missing, the family can watch the video after being allowed, Professor Che Hao from Peking University told People’s Daily.

Have you ever noticed that some kids love going to big parties or hanging out (闲逛) with a group of friends, while others prefer to stay at home, read a book, or just enjoy their peaceful time? It has something to do with your personality.
Psychologists (心理学家) say there are two main kinds of people: E-people and I-people.
37
E-people love being around other people. They feel energized when they’re with friends, going to parties, or doing fun group activities. For them, happiness is all about sharing laughs, stories, and exciting things with others.
38 They feel more relaxed and happy when they’re alone, doing things like reading, drawing, or just watching movies. They don’t need a lot of people around to feel good. They just need themselves and their favorite activities.
But here’s the cool thing: Neither way is better! 39 It’s like finding your favorite taste of ice cream-some people love chocolate, while others love strawberry. Both are great, but it depends on what you like.
The most important thing is to understand yourself and do what makes you happy.
40 After all, happiness is like a jigsaw (拼图)-each piece is different, but when they fit together, they make your life complete.
So, whether you prefer laughing with friends or enjoying quiet moments alone, accept your true self. Be yourself, and your life will be filled with joy!
A.E-people are more likely to succeed.
B.Let me tell you what they’re like.
C.Well, there’s a reason for that!
D.Both E-people and I-people can be happy, as long as (只要) they do what they enjoy.
E.Life is about finding what works for you and enjoying every minute.
F.I-people like quiet time.
【答案】37.B 38.F 39.D 40.E

At 1:00 p.m. on December 19, 2024 four eighth grade students, Ma Dongla, Wang Wubin, Ma Bin and Gao Yifan, were taking bus No.14 to school. When the bus came near Longwangmiao station, it suddenly shook. The driver’s head was slightly (略微) to the side and his eyes were about to close. By this time, the bus had lost control. At this dangerous moment, Ma Dongla went up to firmly press the brake (刹车) with both hands, and then shouted, “Control the steering wheel (方向盘) quickly!”
Hearing this, Ma Bin and Gao Yifan quickly went to turn the steering wheel, and finally got the bus back on the right way. Wang Wubin slapped (拍打) him to prevent the driver from falling into a coma (昏迷). The four teenagers worked together and successfully stopped the bus in a safe area. The other 18 passengers in the same bus were safe.
Then the teenagers carefully helped the driver out of his seat and made him lie down. They saved the driver by using the first aid methods taught by the school. They also called 120 and didn’t rush to the school until the doctors and nurses arrived.

I was pushed into writing the “top ten problems the young face” after I attended a school programme, where I had the opportunity to interact with many 45 (teenage). Each conversation was only adding one more item 46 the list of problems.
About two thirds of girls in year nine to year twelve “worry about their 47 (appear)”. 48 there were no gender (性别) differences in worries about school, girls are 49 (anxiety) about getting along with parents and what to do when they are older.
Girls are proven to worry more about personal problems and romantic relationships, and are more 50 (concern) about their own images in peer group. In fact, the only thing 51 boys worry about more than girls is succeeding in their physical activities.
52 parents need to do is to look at ways to help teens and take responsibility for what we are exposing our teens to right now. We cannot afford 53 (ignore) the parental duties of bringing them up well from the time they are young.
Televisions, computers and other gadgets that they spend most of the time with cannot give them 54 bright future.
45.teenagers 46.to 47.appearance 48.Although/Though/While 49.anxious 50.concerned 51.that 52.What 53.to ignore 54.a
根据文章“interact with many...”
根据文章“adding one more item... the list”的搭配,固定短语add... to... 到……”,故填to。
根据前文“worry about their...”
根据“there were no gender differences...”与'‘girls are...”的让步关系可知,需用连词引导让步状语从句,故填Although/Though/While。
根据“are... about...”
根据“are more... about their own images”及括号内“concern”提示,be concerned about为固定短语,故填concerned。
根据“the only thing... boys worry about”可知,此处引导定语从句修饰先行词the only thing且从句缺宾语,需用that引导,故填that。
根据“... parents need to do is to look at ways...”
根据“We cannot afford... the parental duties”及括号内“ignore”提示,afford to do sth.
根据“cannot give them... bright future”可知,future为可数名词单数,此处为泛指,故填a。
