一、教材分析

这节课是Unit 3的语法课，讲过去完成时和它的被动语态。Reading那篇讲川菜的课文里本来就有不少had done的句子，直接拿来用，学生先在熟悉的课文里把过去完成时找出来，再归纳用法，最后放到语境里练。学生高一就学过一般过去时，但过去完成时——也就是'过去的过去'——基本没系统练过，最容易跟一般过去时搞混。被动形式had been done学生也见过，但放到过去完成时里就糊涂了。其实就问自己一个问题：这个动作是不是发生在另一个过去动作之前？是，就用过去完成时；主语是承受动作的，就加be done。

例句全用武汉美食，不是硬贴标签。热干面、三鲜豆皮、面窝、户部巷、吉庆街、黄鹤楼，这些学生天天吃、天天逛，句子意思不用翻译，直接就能盯着时态分析。题型就两种：单句填空练动词形式，汉语提示写句子练输出，不搞花里胡哨的。

二、教学目标

1. 知识目标：搞清楚had done和had been done的结构，知道by/before/by the time、It was the first time that...、Hardly...when...这些标志怎么用；

2. 能力目标：能在课文和句子里认出过去完成时，说清主动还是被动；能根据动作先后选对时态和语态，单句填空和汉语提示写句子都能上手；

3. 情感目标：用武汉的热干面、豆皮、户部巷这些身边事练语法，觉得英语不是飘在天上的东西，能用来聊自己的城市和家乡味道。

三、教学重难点

教学重点：掌握过去完成时had done和被动语态had been done的结构和基本用法，识别by the time、It was the first time that...、Hardly...when...等标志。

教学难点：根据语境判断动作发生的先后顺序，主动被动不搞混，尤其Hardly/No sooner开头的倒装句。

四、教学方法

任务型语言教学法、引导发现法、归纳法、练习法

五、教学准备

教师制作PPT，包含武汉美食相关例句（热干面、三鲜豆皮、面窝、户部巷、吉庆街、黄鹤楼、东湖绿道）；导学案；课本；黑板上绘制时态结构表格。

六、教学过程

Step 1: Lead-in (5 minutes)

Teacher Activity:

1. Show three sentences about Wuhan food on the screen. Ask: "Which verb form is the past perfect tense? Is it active or passive?"

(1) By the time the sun rose, the street vendors had already set up their hot dry noodle stalls along the river.

(2) The secret recipe of mianwo had been passed down through three generations before it was written down.

(3) It was the first time that Wuhan had hosted an international food festival by the East Lake.

2. Let students discuss in pairs, then invite two or three students to identify the past perfect verbs and say whether they are active or passive. Write the structure "had done (active) / had been done (passive)" on the board.

★ Worksheet tasks:

1. Find the past perfect verbs in the three sentences above.

2. Are they active (had done) or passive (had been done)?

导入不绕弯子，不搞游戏。三个句子全是学生天天吃、天天逛的——清晨支摊子卖热干面、面窝配方传了三代、第一次在东湖边办美食节。意思不用先翻译，直接盯着动词形式看。三个句子故意选了三种用法：主动、被动、It was the first time that特殊句型。先让学生有个印象：过去完成时不是只有一种样子，然后再贴标签。

Step 2: Observe and analyse (15 minutes)

Activity 1  Observe the passage about food culture

Teacher Activity:

"Read the passage from the reading text. Find all the past perfect sentences and underline them. Then label each as active or passive." Give students 3 minutes to work alone, then check in pairs. Write the verbs students find on the board.

2. Are they in the active or passive voice?

3. What time markers help you identify the past perfect?

When my family and I had just arrived in Chengdu, we went looking for a good restaurant. The chef told us that Sichuan peppercorn had been used in local dishes for thousands of years. We had never tasted anything so numbing and spicy before. A friend had recommended a small hole-in-the-wall place, and finally we found it.

设计说明：

用学生已经学过的阅读课文，语言不是障碍。短短一段话里过去完成时全齐了：主动（had just arrived, had never tasted, had recommended）、被动（had been used），时间标志just、never、before也都在里面。

Activity 2  Complete the form about the past perfect tense

Teacher Activity:

"Complete the form with the structure, usage and time markers of the past perfect tense. If you are not sure, go back to the sentences we have just found." Give students 4 minutes, then go through the form row by row on the board.

设计说明：

一张表把过去完成时各个侧面全整理出来：主动had done、被动had been done、时间标志by/before/by the time、特殊句型It was the first time that...和Hardly...when...、还有未实现愿望had hoped/intended。让学生自己填，比我在上面讲十分钟管用。

Activity 3  Complete the sentences with the correct verb forms

"Complete the four sentences about Wuhan food with the correct verb forms. Explain why you choose each tense and voice." Give students 3 minutes, then check answers and ask students to state their reasons.

★ Worksheet tasks:

1. By the time we arrived at Hubu Alley, most food stalls ______ already ______ (close).

2. The secret sauce ______ never ______ (taste) by anyone outside the family.

3. It was the first time that he ______ (try) the famous mianwo in Wuhan.

这是重点突破。四道题四个坑：第1题by the time+主动过去完成时，第2题被动语态never放在had和been之间，第3题It was the first time that从句用过去完成时，第4题Hardly位于句首引起部分倒装——had提到主语the chef之前，即Hardly had the chef finished...，学生只需要填过去分词。全用武汉美食的句子，学生做语法的同时在聊吃的。做题时先问自己：动作谁先谁后？主语是做还是被做？
