(本题10分)My cousin, 36, turned a childhood passion into a profession. She is now a master bamboo weaver (织工), founder of her own company.
She loved handicrafts from an early age. She gave up a kindergarten teaching position at about 18 and became an apprentice in traditional bamboo weaving. Her father said, “If she hits a wall, she’ll build a ladder to climb over it. Once she makes up her mind, she sees it through.”
Bamboo weaving is a traditional craft that transforms thin bamboo strips (条) into practical and decorative items. Her early days did not go smoothly. She struggled to control the knife, often misjudging the pressure and cutting her hands. Sometimes she kept working even while bleeding. Day by day, the techniques became second nature.
As her skills developed, she pioneered a range of 3D weaving techniques and studied at art schools to bring contemporary design ideas into her work. In 2012, she founded her brand. Its bamboo paintings, handbags, and lamps soon gained popularity. She has taken part in handicraft making contest, and dozens of medals line the walls of her studio.
Turning craftsmanship into a successful business required new skills. In addition to refining her designs and mixing traditional techniques with modern aesthetics (审美), she learned production management, online promotion and livestreaming. Her shop in a local scenic area generates tens of thousands of yuan monthly while providing villagers with piecework wages.
She welcomes young people interested in intangible cultural heritage. “Be brave enough to be yourself and turn your passion into a career,” she said. Her love for the craft is what has carried her through each challenge.

(本题10分)Reading, for children, is similar to adventure. The idea of inspiring children’s playful nature dates back to the publication of Lewis Carroll’ s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland (爱丽丝梦游仙境) in 1865. Alice’s playful exploration of Wonderland drives the story. There are no clear moral values taught in the book, making it a playground for children to engage with their wildest imagination. This book is often recognized as the one that marked the end of the era (时代) of moralism in children’s literature, bringing in a new era where authors began producing entertaining children’s books.
The idea of “reading as play” doesn’t need text and illustrations to perfectly match; in fact, when the pictures only mirror what the text narrates, the experience is less intense than when there are gaps between those two elements. British illustrator and writer Pat Hutchins’s Rosie’s Walk from 1968, for example, presents two different stories. While the text describes a simple walk taken by Rosie the hen, the illustrations tell the additional story of a fox’s failed attempts to catch Rosie throughout her walk. This parallel (平行的) storytelling is hard to achieve with words alone. Similarly, in Where the Wild Things Are by American author and illustrator Maurice Sendak, the text slowly disappears as the images continue expanding, offering a playful space for the readers to explore the main character’s emotional journey. The lack of directing words allows the young readers to create their own engagement with the characters.
Wordless picture books are a relatively new style in children’s literature. The removal of words makes it easier to convey (表达) difficult, unspeakable things. In Yellow Butterfly, a wordless picture book by Ukrainian illustrator Oleksandr Shatokhin, war is seen through the eyes of a young girl who finds hope in the symbolism of yellow butterflies (蝴蝶). Without words, children can interpret and connect with the story in their own way. The language gap is also broken, allowing kids from anywhere to understand and own the story.
28.(2.5分)What is Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland known for in children’s literature?
A.Using images in storytelling.
B.Pioneering the theme of adventure.
C.Shifting from moral lessons to fun stories.
D.Centering on realism and personal growth.
29.(2.5分)What is the author’s attitude toward the idea of “reading as play”?
A.Curious. B.Doubtful. C.Uncaring. D.Supportive.
30.(2.5分)What is an advantage of wordless picture books?
A.They allow children to read faster. B.They present complex topics more easily.
C.They save the author from writing text. D.They help improve children’s drawing skills.
31.(2.5分)What might be a suitable title for the text?
A.The secrets of wordless books
B.An exploration of literary texts
C.A playground between words and images
D.The power of entertainment in children’s literature

Seventeen-year-old Mark was an energetic track runner, whose world centered around speed. To save up for an advanced summer training camp, he took a part-time job, delivering heavy packages. One rainy Tuesday, his last delivery was to a quiet house at the edge of town belonging to Mrs. Gable, a retired teacher known for her strict personality and beautiful rose garden.
As Mark hurried up the driveway, his mind was already on the evening’s training. He swung the heavy box onto the porch (门廊), but in his hurry, he didn’t notice the corner of the box got caught on a large, decorated ceramic (陶瓷的) flowerpot. With a loud sound, the pot-a bright blue antique- broke into dozens of pieces. Mark stood there in shock, his hands trembling as he stared at the mess.
Mark knew that pot was the centerpiece of Mrs. Gable’s porch. Panic filled him. He looked around; the street was empty, and the rain hid the sound. For a moment, the thought of simply walking away flashed through his mind. Who would know? But then, Mark remembered his coach’s words: “Honesty is what you do when no one is watching.” He realized that running away would be a far greater defeat than any lost race.
Taking a deep breath to calm his racing heart, Mark dragged his feet toward the front door. He raised his hand slowly, pausing twice before knocking gently. When Mrs. Gable appeared, her eyes fell on the blue shards (碎片) at once. And then she shouted loudly, “That pot was a gift from my late husband!” Mark’s heart beat wildly in his chest as he stood there, drops of sweat falling from his forehead.

In front of a mirror, Lila adjusted the curly red wig (假发) that crowned her head. It was for her dancing performance. Though she loved the way it changed her, a part of her wondered if it hid more than it revealed (显露). “Today is the day,” she whispered to herself, feeling the weight of expectation mixed with a hint of anxiety. She was about to reveal her true self to the world.
Maya, a wise elderly artist, sat among the crowd. Her eyes twinkled with warmth as she noticed Lila approaching. “Ah, my little angel has arrived, ” she called out. Lila loved spending time with Maya, who always seemed to see the beauty in everything. “Do you think it’s okay to not wear the wig today? ” Lila asked. “Beauty comes from within, dear. Let the world see your light,” Maya replied with a gentle smile, “True beauty is not just skin deep.”
Eli, a supportive classmate, sat next to Lila, helping her with the final touches (润色) of her performance. “Are you nervous?” he asked, sensing her unease. “A little,” Lila admitted. “You’ll be amazing, with or without it,” Eli reassured her, gesturing towards her wig. His words gave her confidence, and she nodded with determination, feeling ready to face the audience and reveal her true self.
As Lila stepped onto the stage, she took a deep breath. The spotlight was warm, casting a bright glow that seemed to envelop her. She glanced at Maya and Eli in the audience, their encouraging smiles cheering her on. She gently removed her wig, letting the world see her true self.

根据第一段中的“This book is often recognized as the one that marked the end of the era (时代) of moralism in children’s literature, bringing in a new era where authors began producing entertaining children’s books.(这本书常被视作标志着儿童文学道德主义时代终结的作品,开启了一个新的时代,在这个时代作家们开始创作充满趣味的儿童书籍)”可知,《爱丽丝梦游仙境》在儿童文学领域以从道德说教向有趣故事的转变而闻名。故选C项。
29.推理判断题。根据第二段中的“The idea of “reading as play” doesn’t need text and illustrations to perfectly match; in fact, when the pictures only mirror what the text narrates, the experience is less intense than when there are gaps between those two elements.(“阅读即玩耍”这一理念并不要求文字与插图完美匹配;事实上,当图片仅仅反映文字所叙述的内容时,其阅读体验不如二者存在差异时那般强烈)”以及作者通过列举《罗西的散步》和《野兽国》这两个例子,进一步说明该理念能为读者提供有趣的探索空间,作者对此持支持态度。故选D项。
所以C选项“A playground between words and images (文字与图像间的游乐场)”最适合作为文章标题。故选C项。

Instead, she gently patted his trembling shoulder, saying that the priceless memories embedded in the antique pot could never be replaced by money, and that a sincere, responsible heart was far more precious than any ceramic treasure. Though a huge wave of relief washed over Mark, guilt still stayed in his heart. Determined to make up for his fault, he apologized again and made a firm promise to get it repaired.
The next day, Mark brought the shards to a repair shop. He politely asked the skilled craftsman to restore the broken pot to its original appearance as perfectly as possible, promising to spend every bit of his hard-earned camp savings on the repair. Two days later, he took the well-restored pot to Mrs. Gable’s house with great sincerity. Deeply touched by his perseverance and responsibility, she praised him highly. This unforgettable experience taught Mark that honesty and integrity were the most precious principles in his life.
