be full of意为“充满”,符合语境。proud of主语通常是人;famous for意为“因……
根据后文“If we cut it...fly even higher”可知,儿子认为绳子阻碍了风筝。stop sb/sth from doing意为“阻止……
根据“If we cut it”可知,剪断绳子后风筝会变得自由,free符合语境。
根据“The kite started to go higher”可知,起初风筝飞得更高,男孩愿望达成,应感到兴奋,excited符合语境。
根据前句“the kite started to come down”可知,风筝最终落到了地上,dropped符合语境。
根据前句“I thought... the kite would fly higher”可知,儿子对风筝掉落感到惊讶,询问原因,Why符合语境。
根据“The string was not stopping... it was...” help sb do sth
根据“go up in the right...”
根据前文“these might be the things supporting us”及语境可知,绳子起到支撑作用,support符合语境。
根据“holding us back ... stopping us”可知,前后是两个并列的伴随动作,表示递进或并列关系,用and连接。
