第四部分 写作(共两节,满分40分)
第一节
Dear Tom,
Delighted to hear about the upcoming exhibition of foreign handicrafts in your school, I’m writing to recommend some traditional Chinese handicrafts to you.
Chinese paper cutting is a folk art form with a history of over 1,500 years. It involves cutting paper into various shapes, often portraying scenes from nature or traditional stories. It provides a way to help understand Chinese culture and history. Chinese pottery is another good choice. With a history dating back thousands of years, it’s renowned for its craftsmanship and aesthetic appeal.
Hope my recommendation will be useful to you!
Yours,
Li Hua
第二节 (满分25分)
I picked up the torn carp from the bin and smoothed it out on the desk. Staring at the broken tail, I carefully studied the grain of the red paper. This time I didn’t rush. I held the scissors gently, moving them along the natural lines instead of forcing cuts. Whenever I felt the paper resisting, I paused and adjusted my angle. Hour after hour, I concentrated on every small cut. Slowly, a new carp took shape, its tail soft and lively. I added delicate patterns around it, full of New Year wishes. Finishing the work, I carefully wrapped the paper cutting and headed for the hospital.
When I held the new carp against the hospital window, Grandma’s eyes lit up. She stretched out her thin fingers and touched the red carp gently, a big smile spreading across her face. “You finally heard what the paper says,” she whispered. Mom stood beside us, taking photos happily. That Spring Festival, our special paper cutting carried more than festival joy. It passed down Grandma’s wisdom: we should be patient and respect the nature of things, just like cutting paper.

In an apartment in Boston, the US, American Rachel Yu styles her hair in front of a mirror. She skillfully secures her hair in a bun at the top of her head, inserts a gilded hairpin, and puts on a beautifully embroidered horse-face skirt. In the mirror, she looks like an Eastern woman straight out of an ancient painting. However, this hanfu enthusiast, who is skilled at traditional Chinese clothing, is a native American with the Chinese nickname Qiu Qiu.
Qiu Qiu’s love affair with hanfu began in 2019. One night, while watching fashion videos on YouTube, a video about the “hanfu revival” suddenly appeared on her screen. The flowing garments and delicate patterns in the video appealed to her almost instantly. Out of curiosity, Qiu Qiu began searching online for information about hanfu. However, at that time, there weren’t many videos and articles in English about hanfu, and much of what she found was in Chinese. The only words she could understand were “hanfu.” It was from that moment that she resolved to start learning Chinese, beginning with “hello” and “thank you,” to understand this unfamiliar and mysterious country across the ocean.
Qiu Qiu began studying hanfu styles through online videos and images, from the curvature(弯曲) of the collar of Tang dynasty skirts to the number of pleats in Ming dynasty horse-face skirts. She now knows these details like the back of her hand. As an illustrator, she has also incorporated hanfu elements into her artwork, designing game characters dressed in hanfu from different dynasties. Gradually, her hanfu videos became increasingly popular on social media platforms, and she began participating in offline hanfu society events in the US.
In her view, the power of beauty can establish connections between people and is enough to remove misunderstandings. Each piece of hanfu that crosses the ocean is not just a garment(服装); it is also a cultural messenger between the East and the West.
24. How did Qiu Qiu get interested in hanfu?
A. By attending a show about hanfu.
B. By watching a video about hanfu.
C. By studying the culture about hanfu.
D. By reading an article about hanfu.
25. Which of the following best describes Qiu Qiu’s approach to learning about hanfu?
A. Casual and occasional. B. Superficial and brief.
C. Systematic and detailed. D. Random and unstructured.
26. What does the underlined word “incorporated” in Paragraph 3 mean?
A. turned in B. taken up C. turned up D. taken in
27. What can we know about Qiu Qiu’s hanfu-related activities?
A. She is popular in the US. B. She likes to hold activities.
C. She helps spread Chinese culture. D. She hopes to make a fortune.

Intangible cultural heritage(非物质文化遗产) refers to traditions, skills, and practices passed down through generations. China has the largest number of UNESCO-recognized intangible cultural heritage items in the world, including 43 items to date. These cultural treasures reflect the wisdom and creativity of the Chinese people.
Chinese calligraphy(书法) is one of these treasures. For thousands of years, the art of writing Chinese characters with a brush has been highly valued. It is not just about writing — it is about expressing beauty, emotion, and personality. Today, many young people are rediscovering the joy of calligraphy, attending classes and joining clubs.
Paper-cutting is another traditional art form. With just a pair of scissors and a piece of paper, artists create delicate designs that tell stories or express good wishes. During the Spring Festival, people often put paper-cuttings on windows as decorations to bring good luck.
Shadow puppetry(皮影戏) is a form of storytelling using hand-made puppets and light. This ancient art dates back over 2,000 years. Performers control the puppets behind a white screen while singing and telling stories. Although it faces competition from modern entertainment, efforts are being made to pass this skill on to younger generations.
Traditional tea processing is also recognized as intangible cultural heritage. The techniques for making different types of tea — green, black, long, and white — have been developed over centuries. Today, tea ceremonies are gaining popularity among young people as a way to relax and connect with traditional culture.
Protecting intangible cultural heritage is important because it keeps our cultural identity alive. Governments, schools, and communities are working together to ensure these traditions continue to thrive in the modern world.

Nowadays, many teenagers spend most of their free time on short videos or online games. Few of them take time to feel the beauty of traditional Chinese culture. However, a special Mid-Autumn fair in Zhouning, Fujian, shows us a great way to connect young people with our old culture.
The fair opened on Sept 25 at Carp Brook Scenic Area. It mixes poetry, music and light shows together. The event centers on poetry, wine and traditional performances. Actors dress up as Li Bai and Su Shi, two famous ancient poets, and talk and play games with visitors.
There are many fun activities for young visitors. Students can join poetry recitation, pitch-pot and lantern riddles. If they collect six stamps on a special card, they can get nice Mid-Autumn gifts. Besides, visitors can enjoy light shows and rod-puppet plays. They can also try bottle painting or write calligraphy on bookmarks. These hands-on experiences make culture no longer just words in textbooks.
The fair lasts until Sept 27. It uses the local 800-year-old fish-protection culture and beautiful natural sights to build a wonderful night trip. Such cultural fairs are really meaningful for teenagers. They help us learn history and poems in lively ways, not only from books. When young people take part in these activities, they will fall in love with traditional culture and pass it on.
But we still need more such activities. Schools and cities should create more opportunities for students to experience traditional culture. Culture is not far away. It can be fun, interactive and full of poetic light.
32. What can we infer about the activities at the fair?
A. Visitors can watch light shows only after they recite poems.
B. Visitors can get gifts after collecting six stamps.
C. Visitors can take part in all activities without any tickets.
D. Visitors can meet the real Li Bai and Su Shi there.
33. Which of the following is TRUE according to the passage?
A. The fair is held to protect the local fish in the river.
B. Visitors can watch rod-puppet shows and get free mooncakes there.
C. The fair will last for more than one week.
D. Visitors can try bottle painting and write calligraphy on bookmarks.
34. Why does the writer think the fair is helpful to teenagers?
A. It stops teenagers from playing online games completely.
B. It helps them learn traditional culture in interesting ways.
C. It teaches them how to make different kinds of lanterns.
D. It gives students chances to win many school prizes.
35. What is the main idea of the text?
A. To describe old local fish-protection culture
B. To introduce ancient poets’ life stories
C. To show a cultural fair’s great value

阅读下面材料:根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
With the Spring Festival only weeks away, my mother and I decided to decorate our home with hand-made paper cuttings instead of printed ones. She would take care of the couplets(对联), while my job was to learn paper cutting from my grandma.
There was just one thing I hadn’t counted on: the scissors in Grandma’s hand seemed to have a mind of their own. My first “fish” looked like a torn leaf. Grandma smiled, “The paper has its own temper. Listen to it.” I laughed it off. How could paper have a temper?
For the following week, I practised every evening after homework. Slowly my cuts grew smoother, and by the tenth day I finished a “double happiness” character. Grandma checked each piece and nodded with a warm smile. Mother pinned it on the window with pride. My plan seemed to be working out just fine.
Unexpectedly, three days before the Festival, Grandma fell ill and was sent to hospital. Left alone with the red paper, I struggled. The window of Grandma’s room remained empty, and relatives would come for the reunion dinner in three days. When I tried to copy her “lucky carp(鲤鱼)”, the tail tore at the final cut.
It was a freezing evening. The radiator(暖气片) clicked, but my heart sank. I wanted to throw the scissors into the drawer and buy a printed one instead. Eventually, I swept the paper scraps into the bin and turned off the light.
Two days passed, and the torn carp remained in the bin. The Festival was almost here. My mother suggested visiting Grandma, but I refused, ashamed to face her with empty hands.
On the morning of the twenty-ninth, my phone buzzed with her voice message from the hospital: “Don’t throw away the torn carp. A torn tail only means the paper was telling you something. Listen to it.” I played it again and again in the cold room. Putting myself in her shoes, I finally understood: listening to the paper meant following its grain(纹理) patiently, never forcing the scissors.
注意:1. 续写词数应为150个左右; 2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。
I picked up the torn carp from the bin and smoothed it out on the desk.

第二节(满分25分)

W: Holidays are happy days filled with pleasure and delicious foods. Many people, however, are worried about the weight that comes along with the delicious foods. With proper planning, though, it is possible to control your weight. The idea is to enjoy the holidays but not eat too much. You don’t have to turn away from the foods that you enjoy. The following suggestions may be of some help to you.
First, do not miss meals. Before you leave home for a big meal, have a small, low-fat snack. This may help keep you from getting too excited about delicious foods.
Second, begin with clear soup and fruit or vegetables. A large glass of water before you eat may help you feel full.

Next, if you have a sweet tooth, try fruits. They don’t have as much fat content as cream and chocolate.

第二节(满分25分)

When I held the new carp against the hospital window, Grandma’s eyes lit up.

【参考范文】
