A Gen Z train attendant in China has gained widespread praise for his creative approach to keeping children calm and entertained during long train rides-by handing out test papers and stickers(贴画).
Qin Yunhao, who works on the G1546 high-speed train from Nanning East to Hangzhou West, brings along a plastic bag filled with simple worksheets and colorful reward stickers every time he's on duty. His idea is simple but effective: children who become noisy during the journey are gently handed a test paper, and upon completing it, are rewarded with stickers. Meanwhile, children who remain quiet throughout the ride are given stickers directly as a form of positive reinforcement( 强化).
The idea, which started during the summer travel rush, has received overwhelming support from parents and netizens. Many praised it for turning a potentially noisy carriage(车厢) into a peaceful environment, while also giving children something meaningful to do during the journey.
The inspiration came from observing parents who brought homework for their children on board. Wanting to help those who hadn't come prepared, Qin began printing out simple exercises to share.
This low-cost but thoughtful solution has been described as a “magical fix”, as it eases pressure on parents, entertains young passengers, and helps maintain order in a public space. It's also seen as a reflection of growing human-centered innovation in public service.
Qin's fellow railway staff have also adopted various child-friendly practices. Some bring picture books or small toys, others create “kids' kits” with puzzles and games. On certain trains, a children's activity area has even been set up in the dining car. Railway staff also encourage parents to prepare

entertainment in advance, such as downloading cartoons or bringing educational games, to help children enjoy the ride calmly and constructively.
Balancing children's natural liveliness with public order is no easy task. But initiatives like this show that thoughtful, human-centered solutions can go a long way toward creating more harmonious public spaces.
24. What does Qin Yunhao do to keep children quiet on the train?
A. He sets up activity areas. B. He provides books and toys.
C. He downloads cartoons and games. D. He gives out test papers and stickers.
25. What made Qin Yunhao decide to hand out worksheets?
A. He hoped to make the summer rush more fun.
B. He wanted to protect children's natural liveliness.
C. He was required to create more harmonious public areas.
D. He saw some parents unprepared for their kids' homework.
26. What do people think of Qin Yunhao's solution?
A. It fits the summer rush. B. It is expensive but effective.
C. It makes carriages peaceful. D. It puts pressure on parents and kids.
27. What is the best title for the text?
A. Railway Activities for Kids. B. Ways to Play with Kids on Trains.
C. A Train Attendant's Idea to Calm Kids. D. Harmonious Summer Travel.

Grímsey is a small island, about 6.5 square kilometers in size. It lies 40 kilometers off the northern coast of Iceland. It is the northernmost inhabited part of Iceland and the only piece of the country inside the Arctic Circle. This cold, distant island — in an already cold and distant country — represents Iceland at its most remote and extreme. That is exactly what makes it attractive.
Before 1931, the only way to reach Grimsey was by a small mail boat that visited it just twice a year. There were only 58 registered residents living on the remote island as of January 1,2025 — a number much smaller than the large population of seabirds there. Today, transportation options have greatly improved. The ferry (渡船) operates year-round between Dalvik and Grímsey, carrying up to 106 passengers on a journey of about three hours. It runs three to four times a week in winter and five times weekly in summer. Additionally, Norlandair provides flights to the island throughout the year, with two weekly flights in summer and three weekly flights in other seasons. Each flight takes

about 30 minutes, and the stopover on Grímsey lasts from 20 minutes to two hours, depending on the schedule and time of year.
Like many small Icelandic communities, Grímsey’s history is full of local stories. According to one story, the island is named after a Norse settler called Grímsey, who sailed from western Norway. “There is something special about walking along the island ’ s high cliffs (悬崖), while enjoying the peaceful green landscape surrounded by thousands of seabirds. But it is the kindness and warmth of the people that make Grimsey a welcoming and special place,” Halla, a local tour guide, explains.
Apart from the puffins ( 海鹦), the island’s main allure is its location. Grímsey lies at 66°N, which means it experiences polar nights. From early December to mid-February, the island remains in complete darkness for months.
28 .What makes Grímsey appeal to many visitors?
A .Its mild climate all year round.
B .Its distant and extreme natural setting.
C .Its convenient transportation network.
D .Its large population of local residents.
29 .How did people reach Grímsey before 1931?
A .By flying from the mainland. B .By taking fishing boats operated daily.
C .By taking occasional mail boats. D .By getting on regular passenger ships.
30 .What can we infer from Halla’s words?
A .She speaks highly of the local residents.
B .She enjoys sitting around seabirds.
C .She dislikes walking on the high cliffs.
D .She knows a lot about Grímsey’s history.
31 .What does the underlined word “allure” in the last paragraph mean?
A .Comfort. B .Advocate. C .Motivation. D .Attraction.

Many popular programs promise to increase happiness, but they often require more time and effort than busy people can manage. As a result, most of us find it hard to stick to such demanding routines. This raises an important question: what if becoming happier did not call for a complete change in lifestyle? What if it could start with simple, brief actions that are easy to carry out?
To explore the possibility, researchers launched a global online study known as the Big Joy
第 6 页 共 12 页
学科网(北京)股份有限公司
Project, where a large number of participants were asked to complete a daily “micro-act” — a short, easy activity designed to build joy. These acts included listing things they felt grateful for, performing an act of kindness, or watching an inspiring video. Each day, people reported how they felt both before and after the activity, which allowed researchers to track changes in their emotions.
The results, based on data from participants from more than 200 countries and regions, showed encouraging changes. After only one week, most people reported noticeable improvements: they experienced more positive feelings, less stress, and even better sleep and physical health. Moreover, the study showed a direct connection between effort and outcome — the more micro-acts a person completed, the greater their increase in happiness turned out to be.
Interestingly, these benefits reached everyone, including those facing adversities in life. People with fewer resources or lower social status often reported an even stronger sense of well-being. The project also succeeded in promoting “prosocial” behavior (亲社会行为) — the natural desire to help others and connect with the community. In particular, groups that initially showed less prosocial tendency, such as those in less wealthy regions, demonstrated the most significant growth in this respect.
The study suggests that happiness does not necessarily depend on major achievements or external events. Instead, small but intentional acts — such as giving thanks, offering kindness, or taking a moment to appreciate the world — can help individuals actively shape their own emotional well-being. In today’s fast-paced world, these micro-moments of joy provide a practical and powerful way to help people feel lighter, more connected and more satisfied with life.
32 .Why was the Big Joy Project launched?
A .To compare different acts of kindness.
B .To test popular long-term happiness programs.
C .To seek an easier way to enhance happiness.
D .To promote major changes in people’s lifestyles.
33 .What can we learn about the study results?
A .Small acts made a difference.
B .Happier people did more micro-acts.
C .Prosocial growth centered on rich regions.
D .Higher status contributed to stronger gains.
34 .What is the main function of paragraph 4?

A .To draw the core conclusion. B .To present further findings.
C .To show the study’s theoretical basis. D .To offer practical suggestions.

A .Prosocial Behavior: A Path to Happiness
B .Life Adversities: Tests for Human Happiness

Stargazing(观星) offers a breathtaking connection to the universe, yet many people miss out on this experience due to a few easily overlooked factors. Anyone can enjoy an unforgettable journey through the universe. 36
Avoid light pollution.
Light pollution results from the overused or poorly directed artificial light produced by cities, streetlights, buildings, and vehicles. It creates a glowing mist that hides faint stars and other objects in the sky. No stargazer wants such an obstacle(障碍) to spoil (破坏)the view. 37 If you’re observing from home, consider using professional instruments that direct light downward.
Consider the moon.
The moon, our closest neighbor in space, goes through a monthly cycle of phases that greatly affect stargazing conditions. The best time to observe the stars is during the new moon, when the moon is positioned between the Earth and the sun and remains invisible, leaving the sky at its darkest. 38
Height(高度) matters.
To get a clear view of the sky, it’s important to choose a location free from surrounding buildings. 39 If traveling to the countryside isn’t an choice, try to get to a higher spot. The rooftop of a tall building, for instance, can help you rise above nearby structures and improve your view. Look for accessible buildings in your area that might offer this advantage.
40
Timing plays a key role in what you’ll see in the night sky. Winter generally offers the clearest skies because cold air holds less moisture-just remember to dress warmly. Summer skies bring a

different set of star groups and often present a stunning view of the Milky Way. Beginners may find dusk(黄昏), just after sunset, a good time to start, while serious stargazers with better equipment often prefer the late-night hours.
A .Pick the right time.
B .Consider the season.
C .Rural areas are ideal for this.
D .All you need is a little preparation and knowledge.
E .If possible, visit a dark park that is specially meant for stargazing.
F .Using a telescope can greatly enhance your viewing experience.
G .It’s best to avoid nights with a full moon for better star visibility.

Grimsey is a small island, about 6.5 square kilometers in size.It lies 40 kilometers off the
northern coast of Iceland. It is the northernmost inhabited part of Iceland and the only piece of the
country inside the Arctic Circle. This cold, distant island-in an already cold and distant country-
represents Iceland at its most remote and extreme. That is exactly what makes it attractive.
Before 1931,the only way to reach Grimsey was by a small mail boat that visited it just twice a
year. There were only 58 registered residents living on the remote island as of January 1,2025-a
number much smaller than the large population of seabirds there.Today, transportation options have
greatly improved. The ferry (operates year-round between Dalvik and Grimsey, carrying up to
106 passengers on a journey of about three hours. It runs three to four times a week in winter and
five times weekly in summer.Additionally,Norlandair provides flights to the island throughout the
year, with two weekly flights in summer and three weekly flights in other seasons. Each flight takes

about 30 minutes, and the stopover on Grimsey lasts from 20 minutes to two hours, depending on the
schedule and time of year.
Like many small Icelandic communities,Grimsey's history is full of local stories.According to
one story, the island is named after a Norse settler called Grimsey, who sailed from western Norway.
"There is something special about walking along the island's high cliffs ()while enjoying the
peaceful green landscape surrounded by thousands of seabirds. But it is the kindness and warmth of
the people that make Grimsey a welcoming and special place,"Halla,a local tour guide, explains.
Apart from the puffins ()the island's main allure is its location.Grimsey lies at 66N,
which means it experiences polar nights. From early December to mid-February,the island remains
in complete darkness for months.

A.She speaks highly of the local residents
B.She enjoys sitting around seabirds
C.She dislikes walking on the high cliffs.
D.She knows a lot about Grimsey's history.
31.What does the underlined word "allure"in the last paragraph mean?
A.Comfort.

Many popular programs promise to increase happiness, but they often require more time and
effort than busy people can manage. As a result, most of us find it hard to stick to such demanding
routines. This raises an important question:what if becoming happier did not call for a complete
change in lifestyle? What if it could start with simple, brief actions that are easy to carry out?
To explore the possibility, researchers launched a global online study known as the Big Joy
第6页共12页
Project, where a large number of participants were asked to complete a daily "micro-act"-a short,
easy activity designed to build joy. These acts included listing things they felt grateful for,
performing an act of kindness,or watching an inspiring video. Each day, people reported how they
felt both before and after the activity, which allowed researchers to track changes in their emotions.
The results, based on data from participants from more than 200 countries and regions, showed
encouraging changes. After only one week, most people reported noticeable improvements:they
experienced more positive feelings, less stress, and even better sleep and physical health. Moreover,
the study showed a direct connection between effort and outcome-the more micro-acts a person
completed, the greater their increase in happiness turned out to be.
Interestingly, these benefits reached everyone, including those facing adversities in life.People
with fewer resources or lower social status often reported an even stronger sense of well-being.The
project also succeeded in promoting "prosocial”behavior(亲社会行为)一the natural desire to help
others and connect with the community. In particular, groups that initially showed less prosocial
tendency, such as those in less wealthy regions, demonstrated the most significant growth in this
respect.
The study suggests that happiness does not necessarily depend on major achievements or
external events.Instead,small but intentional acts-such as giving thanks,offering kindness,or
taking a moment to appreciate the world-can help individuals actively shape their own emotional
well-being.In today's fast-paced world,these micro-moments of joy provide a practical and
powerful way to help people feel lighter, more connected and more satisfied with life.
32.Why was the Big Joy Project launched?
A.To compare different acts of kindness.
B.To test popular long-term happiness programs.
C.To seek an easier way to enhance happiness.
D.To promote major changes in people's lifestyles.
33.What can we learn about the study results?
A.Small acts made a difference
B.Happier people did more micro-acts.
C.Prosocial growth centered on rich regions.
D.Higher status contributed to stronger gains.
34.What is the main function of paragraph 4?
第7页共12页
A.To draw the core conclusion.
B.To present further findings.
C.To show the study's theoretical basis
D.To offer practical suggestions
35.Which of the following might be the best title for the passage?
A.Prosocial Behavior:A Path to Happiness
B.Life Adversities:Tests for Human Happiness
C.Big Joy Project:Ways to Ease Life Adversities
D.Micro-Acts:Small Steps to Greater Happiness

Stargazing()offers a breathtaking connection to the universe, yet many people miss out on
this experience due to a few easily overlooked factors.Anyone can enjoy an unforgettable journey
through the universe.36
Avoid light pollution
Light pollution results from the overused or poorly directed artificial light produced by cities,
streetlights, buildings, and vehicles. It creates a glowing mist that hides faint stars and other objects
in the sky.No stargazer wants such an obstacle(障碍)to spoil(破坏)the view.37If
you're observing from home, consider using professional instruments that direct light downward.
Consider the moon.
The moon, our closest neighbor in space, goes through a monthly cycle of phases that greatly
affect stargazing conditions. The best time to observe the stars is during the new moon, when the
moon is positioned between the Earth and the sun and remains invisible, leaving the sky at its darkest.
38
Height(高度)matters.
To get a clear view of the sky,it's important to choose a location free from surrounding
buildings.39
If traveling to the countryside isn't an choice, try to get to a higher spot.
The rooftop of a tall building, for instance, can help you rise above nearby structures and improve
your view.Look for accessible buildings in your area that might offer this advantage.
40
Timing plays a key role in what you'll see in the night sky.Winter generally offers the clearest
skies because cold air holds less moisture-just remember to dress warmly.Summer skies bring a

第五部分 写作(共两节,满分40分)
第一节 (满分15分)
Dear Chris,
I’m writing to share with you the memorable agritourism our school organized last weekend.
We went to a farm where we did many things. Upon arriving at the farm, we were given a warm welcome by local farmers. Under their patient guidance, we picked fruits, fed chickens, and even learned how to make cheese, which was a new skill for me .Besides, we listened to their introduction to advanced agricultural technology.
This fantastic journey left a deep impression on me. Not only did I get close to nature, but I also realized we should respect farmers and treasure every bite of food. What a rewarding experience!
Yours,
Li Hua

One possible version:
The boy agreed and jumped into Phil's car.Phil started the engine, a flood of memories washing over him. It was Melissa who had offered him a precious last chance years ago, pulling him from the edge of failure and paving the way for his later success. Filled with deep gratitude, he drove swiftly toward the hospital, his heart aching for the suffering mother and her little boy. He could hardly imagine what terrible hardships they had gone through. Upon arrival, he wasted no time talking with doctors and promised to cover the full cost of the urgent surgery.
Phil sat in the waiting room beside the boy while the doctors performed Melissa’s surgery.Waiting seemed endless. Phil comforted the anxious boy gently and prayed whole‑heartedly for Melissa’s recovery. He kept glancing at the operating room door nervously. Much to their relief, the doctors finally came out, announcing the operation had gone smoothly. When Melissa spotted Phil beside her bed, a faint warm smile spread across her pale face. It suddenly hit Phil that kindness would eventually find its way back in life.
