3. 语法小贴士（本课语言重点 · 原因状语从句、make 结构与定语从句）：

① because 引导的原因状语从句：because 意为“因为”，引导原因状语从句，可用来回答 why 的提问或说明原因。例：People call it the "Sea of Clouds" because sometimes clouds surround and cover the mountain peaks.（人们称它为“云海”，因为有时云雾环绕、覆盖着山峰。）

② make + 宾语 + 宾语补足语：make 后可接“宾语 + 宾语补足语”，宾语补足语可以是名词短语或形容词等，表示“使……成为/变得……”。例：The mist and clouds make it feel like walking through the sky.（make + 宾语 it + 宾补 feel like ...）

③ that 引导的定语从句：that 引导定语从句修饰前面的名词（先行词），在从句中作主语，意为“……的”。例：It is a unique place that supports about 2,000 species of plants and animals.（它是一个养育着约 2,000 种动植物的独特之地。）

④ 形容词比较级和最高级：the deepest and oldest lake、one of the largest waterfalls 用最高级表示“最……”。注意 one of the + 最高级 + 名词复数，意为“最……的之一”。

⑤ surround 与 cover：surround 意为“环绕、围绕”；cover 意为“覆盖、遮盖”；两者常连用：clouds surround and cover the mountain peaks（云雾环绕、覆盖着山峰）。

⑥ 本课重点搭配：be famous for（因……而闻名）、remind sb. of sth.（使某人想起某事）、even from space（甚至从太空）、a part of ...（……的一部分）、one of the largest（最……的之一）。
