Passage1(课内同源:爷爷的邮箱)
Last weekend, our teacher gave us a special task: interview a grandparent about how people communicated in the past. I chose to talk with my grandpa, and his answers surprised me. / “When I was your age, there were no mobile phones,” Grandpa said with a smile. “If we wanted to talk with a faraway friend, we wrote a letter. I wrote it carefully, put it into an envelope, stuck a stamp on it and posted it at the post office. Then the waiting began.” / Grandpa told me that a letter often took one or two weeks to arrive, and the reply might take another two. So every word in a letter was thought over again and again. People kept old letters in boxes like treasures, and reading them again could make the whole family quiet and warm. “In the 1990s, the telephone came into our town,” he said, “and then the Internet changed everything.” / Now Grandpa makes video calls with his brother in another city every week. They can see each other's faces and hear each other's voices, though hundreds of kilometres lie between them. “Communication is faster and more convenient today,” Grandpa said, “but I still hope you will write a real letter one day, because a letter carries your patience and your heart.”

Passage2(课外同源:一枚小纸片的大故事)
Before 1840, sending a letter in Britain was strange and expensive. The person who received the letter had to pay for it, and the price was very high, so many people simply refused to accept their letters at all. / A man named Rowland Hill thought this was wrong. He suggested a new idea: letters should be paid for by the sender, and the price should depend on weight, not on distance. In 1840, Britain issued the world's first stamp, the famous “Penny Black”. It cost one penny and showed the young Queen Victoria. / With the Penny Black, sending a letter became simple: stick a stamp on the envelope, and the post office knew the postage was already paid. People only needed to drop their letters into a post box. Soon other countries followed, and stamps spread all over the world. Collecting stamps even became a popular hobby. / Rowland Hill is remembered as “the father of the stamps”. His small piece of paper changed the way people communicate: it made letters cheaper, faster and fairer. Next time you see a stamp, remember — behind it stands a big idea about fairness and connection.
任务一:单项选择

任务四范文:Communication has changed a lot over the years. In the past, people kept in touch by letter, and a message often took weeks to travel. My grandpa still keeps his old letters in a wooden box, because every one of them carries a warm memory. Now we can make video calls and see each other far away in seconds. I often hear from my cousin in Shanghai by e-mail, and her reply arrives within a day. Communication today is faster and more convenient than before. But no matter how tools change, the heart of communication is always care.
