Unit 4 Sharing Period 4 Make a speech about China's aid to other countries
① 把握演讲稿三段脉络:修辞问句开场→个人故事或数据支撑→行动号召收尾;
① 句式宜短、宜口语化,杜绝把书面作文句直接搬上讲台;

Part Ⅰ Lead-in

Good morning. China spends much money on foreign countries. We build roads and schools for them. Helping others is a good thing. Some poor countries need our help. In my opinion, we should go on helping them. Thank you.
Sample A(优秀范文 · 江城视角)— 完成写作后再看
Good morning, everyone.
Did you know that the Padma Bridge in Bangladesh was built by engineers from Wuhan? It opened in June 2022: before that, crossing the river by ferry took up to seven hours; now it takes only ten minutes.
I once walked across the Wuhan Yangtze Bridge on a spring night, never imagining engineers from my city were raising another lifeline far away. China's aid is more than money — it is a bridge, a hospital, a doctor staying two years in a remote village.
In 2020, medical workers from across China rushed to Wuhan. Today, Wuhan doctors and engineers rush to the world. Let us keep this love moving. Thank you.
Teacher's comments & rubric(教师评语量规)
Part Ⅵ
Dear Jim,
Glad to receive your email. I'd like to share one volunteer experience of mine.
Last summer, our class went to a primary school in rural Huangpi to teach English to left-behind children. We prepared picture books and games and spent three Saturday mornings there. At first the kids could not speak a word of English, but soon they were singing "You are my sunshine" with us.
A few hours a week may seem small, but it means someone cares. I will keep volunteering.
Looking forward to your reply.
Yours,
Li Hua
