Upon arrival, we rolled up our trousers and waded into the muddy field. Under the farmer's patient instructions, we bent over, separated the seedlings, and pushed them one by one into the soft soil. After barely an hour, our backs were aching and our hands were thick with mud. The hands-on experience was truly eye-opening. We finally understood the saying, "Every grain comes from hard work." Since then, I have learned to value every meal on my plate. 续写 When I heard the front door open, a wave of guilt washed over me. Knowing Dad would come to punish me for my rude behavior, I sat nervously in bed drowning in regret. I fully realized I had taken my bad day out on Mom, who had done nothing but care for me. As his footsteps drew near, I prepared for blame. Surprisingly, Dad did not enter my room immediately. Overwhelmed by shame, I resolved to cast aside my pride and apologize sincerely for my unreasonable anger. Soon after, Mom gently called me to the kitchen. To my great surprise, the warm, inviting smell of hamburgers instantly greeted me. Burning with guilt, I tried to fight back tears welling up in my eyes. Mom smiled softly and hugged me tightly, choosing to forgive my childish behavior. Standing beside us, Dad smiled warmly and patiently told me it was vital to manage misplaced anger. This touching moment deeply impressed me, teaching me to cherish family love and bravely confront my own faults. It has around 80 water play facilities in the WetZone可知,游客在这里可以体验多种水上项目。 22. B。 26.A。 More than 16,000 stolen bikes were reported last year, versus 11,000 in Unlike a tractor, it barely...in the soil知,与拖拉机相比,Trovador几乎不在地面留下痕迹,能留存土壤孔隙,保证空气与水分流通,也就是对土壤破坏更小。 31.B。 34.A。 I don't use any AI at all,而DeLuca则主动正视AI风险并规范使用,形成鲜明对比。 D项"在紧急或危机时刻,时间一分一秒地流逝"点明了需要加速的具体情境,in an emergency or crisis与空后的In those moments相呼应。 39.A。 43.A。根据下文的“I love you. You're so beautiful. I'm okay." 44.C。根据上文朋友透露的沉重消息以及空后的 the sound of our footsteps filling the space between us知,两人陷入了沉默,脚步声在彼此之间回荡。 45.A。 47.B。根据语境以及空后的saying that at least the words she had been left with were all so 48_可知,作者试图安慰朋友。 48. A。 I love you. You're so beautiful. I'm okay." 49.D。根据空前的I felt how strange以及空后的in the face of such a severe illness可知,即便作者嘴上安慰着朋友,但是她心里明白:在如此严重的疾病面前心存感激很奇怪。 50.B。 51.C。根据空前后的... her mother had hardly ever given praises all these years, she heard one now every time they met可知,朋友的母亲过去多年几乎从不表扬她,而如今每次见面都能听到母亲的赞美。 52.A。 The more I thought about it, the more I realized... 56.its。 57.but。 58.when。 59.promotion。 60.to keep。allow sb to do sth意为“允许某人做某事” 61.be shipped。 ship与that之间是被动关系,且情态动词can后接动词原形,故填be shipped。 62. improved. 62. 63.directly。 64.exporting。 65.to。from...to... Text 1 M: Are you satisfied with the toy car I got for Tom? First, I can fill the hole with a dental material. Another option is taking some medicine. A third option would be pulling out the tooth if it cannot be repaired. W: I hope it can be repaired. What would you recommend? M: Based on the degree of damage, you’d better fill the hole. Are you okay with that? W: Sure. How much should I pay for it? M: The filling process costs 300 dollars and the single-use dental materials are 50 dollars. W: OK. How can I prevent damage to teeth? M: The most helpful way is brushing your teeth twice a day. Also, try to limit your intake of sweet food and drinks. W: Thank you. I will follow your advice. Text 10 M: I’d like to share my experience of celebrating the Water Splashing Festival with the Dai people in Yunnan Province of China. I arrived at the central square at 8:00 am where the festival celebration was held. To my surprise, hundreds of people wearing colorful clothes had been pouring water at each other for half an hour by the time I got there. I took out the water gun I prepared in advance and joined in the exciting celebration without hesitation. In a matter of minutes, my clothes and shoes were completely wet. People were laughing, dancing, and pouring water happily. The highlight of the festival celebration was cleaning some statues with water, which symbolizes good fortune and the removal of illnesses. As the festival drew to a close, I went to taste traditional Dai dishes with a friend I made at the festival. I tried fish, flower dishes and sticky rice in bamboo. They were so delicious. At table, my friend told me many traditions and customs of the Dai people, which became an inspiration for my new book. I took many photos at the festival and sent them to my family living in the United States, eager to show them the memorable experience I had at the Water Splashing Festival. 1. B Mike Pavlik sees a lot while recovering stolen bikes around Minneapolis. Once, pretending to be a potential buyer, he dressed up in a sports coat and met a seller. Pavlik took note of the bike’s make, model and markings, confirming it was the one he was tracking down. He asked to take it for a test ride. The seller wanted some collateral (抵押物). “Do I look like the kind of guy who steals bikes?” Pavlik asked the man. Then he just pedaled off. An hour later, the seller texted him, “I guess you’re not coming back?” Pavlik is part of an unusual army: amateur detectives who find stolen bikes and return them to their owners. As bike theft becomes more profitable, grassroots efforts to crack down on thieves are springing up nationwide. The volunteers say recovering bikes can be strangely fun and addictive. Pavlik, who is 51, works for Twin Cities Stolen Bikes. The volunteer group reunites owners with their wheels, often by tracking stolen bikes for sale on Marketplace, OfferUp, Craigslist or eBay, and then negotiating face-to-face with the suspected thieves. Pavlik likes helping victims almost as much as punishing thieves. For Pavlik, recovering someone’s bike is a big deal. “It’s how they get to work, and a lack of transportation may cost them their jobs,” he says. “So it’s helping those folks where it really matters.” Bike theft is big business. Close to 2 million bikes are stolen each year in North America, costing cyclists nearly $1 billion, compared with $500 million 10 years ago. “It’s been bananas lately,” says Bryan Hance, who helps run Bike Index, where cyclists can register their bikes online for free and report them stolen. More than 16,000 stolen bikes were reported last year, versus 11,000 in 2019. Hance says the thefts aren’t a high priority for police, creating space for volunteers. Police say they take bike theft seriously, though manpower to tackle it is a challenge. 24. Why did Pavlik act as a potential buyer? A. To gather evidence for the police. B. To remove the seller’s suspicion. C. To bargain for a lower price. D. To get back a stolen bicycle. 25. Which word can best describe Pavlik? A. Humorous. B. Modest. C. Resourceful. D. Forgiving. 26. What does Pavlik mainly stress in paragraph 5? A. The significance of his work. B. The consequences of bike theft. C. The difficulty of tracking bikes. D. The motivation behind his work. 27. What does the sentence “It’s been bananas lately” in the last paragraph mean? A. People are getting used to this situation. B. Bike theft cases have increased sharply. C. Volunteers have found more stolen bikes. D. Police have solved most bike theft cases. C In 2023, Bernardino and Mendonça set out to create Trovador — a six-legged robot able to walk on rough slopes (斜坡) and do tree planting. Their first test model, built from recycled parts, worked 28 percent faster than human workers with a 90 percent survival rate. The two are currently working to improve the efficiency of the robot and hope that their current model is able to handle longer operations on steeper terrain “We build all-terrain robots that carry young trees on their backs and plant them autonomously across difficult terrain,” says Bernardino. The innovators didn’t expect the wave of interest that followed their initial test model. The invention was also featured in the magazine as one of the world’s most promising youth-led climate solutions. “On the tech side, the robotics world took notice too. We became the youngest ever to receive Europe’s top award for Robotics for Sustainability,” says Bernardino. The six-legged robot is capable of climbing slopes of up to 45 degrees while detecting and avoiding large rocks in its way. Trovador is also equipped to carry and plant up to 200 young trees per hour. Unlike a tractor, it barely leaves marks on the ground thanks to its light movement, preserving space for air and water in the soil. A depth camera attached to it maps any barriers and allows it to slightly adapt its path in real time. It also uses artificial intelligence and sensors to analyze the pH and humidity (湿度) of the soil, after which Trovador will follow a three-step process: dig holes, put in young trees and press the soil firmly. “Practical tests and related records show this method can help the planted trees survive at a rate of 85 to 90 percent,” says Bernardino. With built-in sensors, Trovador uploads real-time data like GPS positions of each plant, soil humidity and battery life to the cloud system, allowing the team to monitor the robot remotely. Moreover, during future soil analysis, the robot will be trained to skip the dry ground and plant trees in small suitable places where trees are more likely to grow. 28. What is Trovador primarily designed to do? A. Carry heavy loads. B. Analyze soil conditions. C. Climb along steep slopes. D. Plant trees on rough terrain. 29. What does paragraph 3 focus on about Trovador? A. Its market prospects. B. Its wide recognition. C. Its technical strengths. D. Its development process. 30. What main advantage does Trovador have over tractors? A. Higher speed. B. Greater efficiency. C. Less damage. D. Simpler design. 31. What new ability will Trovador gain later? A. To move around barriers. B. To select planting locations. C. To transmit instant information. D. To accelerate planting processes. D Jenna DeLuca felt frustrated because she had just disqualified another student’s science-fair project. The teen’s project listed questionable research papers among its sources. She realized these fake citations (引用) had almost certainly come from chatbots such as ChatGPT. When AI-powered chatbots respond to questions, they sometimes provide made-up answers. These are known as hallucinations (幻觉). But teens aren’t the only ones seriously affected by citations fabricated (编造) by AI. Increasingly, fake citations are also finding their way into papers published by professional scientists. Two new studies have found this is happening more and more. In the first, researchers analyzed nearly 18,000 papers from six computer-science conferences held in 2024 and 2025. At least 300 of those papers contained one or more hallucinated citations. The second examined 4,000 randomly selected papers, book chapters and conference proceedings. All of them came from five leading scientific publishers last year, and at least 65 included a fake citation. People are calling these false citations “ghost references”, says Ben Williamson, a digital-education expert at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. He edits the journal Learning, Media and Technology and has caught many fake citations in papers submitted to it. Last year, he found an especially surprising false citation — one that claimed he was the author. Williamson looked up the paper he had supposedly written and found several versions. The versions differed in listed co-authors, dates, and linked to different journals, with one version having been cited in 42 other papers. For some people, the harms of generative AI — to the environment, to art, and to people—outweigh its benefits, so they steer clear of it. Borgioli Binis is one of them. “I don’t use any AI at all,” she says. DeLuca, instead, is doing her best to spread the word about AI’s risks in citations, and has helped edit a guidebook about appropriate AI use. “It’s not your fault if AI gets things wrong or fabricates information,” says Williamson. “But we are responsible for the accuracy of anything we produce. Science fair judges as well as universities and workplaces will hold AI users responsible for accuracy.” 32. What can be inferred from the two new studies? A. Instead, we act before we’re ready. 36 For example, two African runners broke the two-hour world record at the 2026 London Marathon. They paced each mile with discipline — fast enough to win, but controlled enough to keep their plan. So, what can we do to slow down in a 24/7 culture that rewards urgency? ● Practice patience to improve understanding. When we care for crying babies or elderly parents, our patience is tested. It’s easy to lose our temper under pressure. But patience helps us listen beyond the noise and notice what people truly need. 37 ● Consider the time to speed up. 38 In those moments, we may need to act quickly — but not blindly. The key is to pause just long enough to assess what’s actually happening, and then respond with purpose. ● 39 We don’t have to push ourselves too hard or be the perfect performer. It feels better to boast (夸耀) about how fast we finished a project than how carefully we planned it. But not everything can be rushed. Things follow their own timing — like a cake, which usually takes about 35 minutes to bake. ● Reduce the speed in relationships. Time helps us see reality more clearly. 40 It also encourages different perspectives, so we can reduce one-sided thinking and make fewer emotional mistakes. In short, not everything needs an instant fix. Sometimes the most powerful decision isn’t to speed up — it’s to stop, wait, and move only when we’re ready. A. Manage unrealistic expectations. B. Recognize the price of impatience. C. As a result, we respond more accurately. D. The clock ticks in an emergency or crisis. E. Patience prevents us from rushing into commitments. F. Similarly, focusing on the process can improve performance. G. So it is important to know when to hold back and when to move. A few times a month, my friend and I walk around our neighborhood. He’ll be in to give you your consequence.” I stormed off to my bedroom. The clock showed that my dad would be home from his second shift soon. Dad was a gentle man, but I knew that I’d be in trouble. Worst of all, I deserved it. I’d had the worst day at school. I was late for the first class because I missed the bus. During math class, I blanked out on a test I thought I’d studied for. Then at lunch, my friends were talking about a weekend plan I hadn’t heard of, and I didn’t know what to say. Of course, none of this had anything to do with my mom, except that I’d been terrible to her that day. Years later, I’d learn the words “misplaced anger”, but on that day, I’d just been hurt and mad, and Mom was the target of my anger. I watched the clock until 10:30. “Might as well lie down,” I said to myself, sliding under my quilt and replaying the day’s events through my mind. Mom had baked peanut butter (花生酱) cookies when I got home from school. “Couldn’t you have baked chocolate cookies?” I said. Mom looked up from the table where she helped my sister with her homework. “I could have,” she said. “But I made peanut butter. Why don’t you pour a glass of milk and have it with the cookies?” Then she smiled. Later that night, when she pulled chicken from the oven, I was upset again. Never mind that Mom had made a nice meal — I wanted hamburgers. “No one likes this kind of chicken. Why didn’t you make hamburgers?” Mom breathed deep and said, “I made chicken and I’ve never heard anyone complain about it before.” And things got worse from there. I shouted and complained until Mom reached her limit and we had a shouting match in the hall. When I heard the front door open, a wave of guilt washed over me. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Soon after, Mom gently called me to the kitchen. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $第一节听下面5段对话。 Are you satisfied with the toy car I . got for tom?
