四、阅读理解
The woman I admire most is not a film star or a singer. She is Jane Goodall, a British scientist who has spent most of her life studying wild chimpanzees in Africa.
In 1960, at the age of twenty-six, Jane went to the forests of Tanzania to study chimpanzees. At that time, many people thought women could not do such hard and dangerous field work. Jane proved them wrong.
Her work changed the way we understand animals. She was the first person to discover that chimpanzees make and use simple tools. This discovery surprised the whole scientific world and made her famous.
What I admire most about her is not her fame but her character. She is patient, curious and never afraid of failure. She has also devoted herself to protecting animals and the environment.
Jane Goodall once said that what you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make. Her story teaches me to follow my dream and never give up.

A.She is a famous film star.
B.She is a singer who loves Africa.

D.Because she refused to study animals.
28.What was Jane’s important discovery?
A.Chimpanzees can speak like humans.
B.Chimpanzees live only in zoos.
C.Chimpanzees never eat any meat.
D.Chimpanzees make and use simple tools.
29.What impresses the writer most about Jane?
A.Her patience and her love for animals and the environment.

五、阅读七选五
Everyone has someone they admire. It may be a great scientist or a teacher who once helped you. When you introduce such a person to others, how can you make your words clear and moving? 31
First, say who the person is and what they do. Give a few basic facts, such as their name, their job and where they work. 32 Listeners need to know who you are talking about before they care about the story.
Second, explain why you admire them. Is it their hard work, their courage or their kindness? 33 A true example is always more powerful than an empty word such as “great”.
Third, tell a short story about them. People remember stories much better than lists of facts. 34 It can be a small moment, but it should show the quality you want to share.
Finally, explain what you have learned from them and how they have changed you. 35 In this way, your introduction becomes not just a report about a person, but a message from your heart.
A.Here are some simple steps that can help you do it well.
B.Such basic information makes your introduction clear.
C.Explain your choice with a real example.
D.Choose one that best shows the quality you admire.
E.This is the part that touches people’s hearts most.
F.You should never tell others about the people you admire.
G.Money is the only thing that makes a scientist great.
