Click here to see more information 指向 On the Internet;手法题如开篇连发三问属于 By asking questions。 (5)词义猜测与代词指代(3 题,约占 8%):did the laundry、高洁品质一类词语猜测,以及末段 it 指代 doing housework。 二、结合本次特训题目的实战点拨 【点拨1】细节理解——原词复现定位,以 Passage 1 题 4 为例:原文 “Take your digital camera and enjoy the great sights here.” 【点拨4】词义猜测——由上下文同义解释反推,以 Passage 4 题 2 为例:原文 “Mum did the laundry on Saturdays.” 后文紧接着说 “Why don’t I wash my own clothes this week?”,还写到把衣服放进 washing machine,可见 did the laundry 就是 washed the clothes,故选 C。 【点拨5】句子还原——看空后一句的问答方向,以 Passage 4 题 3 为例:原文 “I don’t have a pink T-shirt,” Jeremy said to himself. B(Where does it come from?)。 【点拨6】正误判断——警惕张冠李戴,以 Passage 5 题 4 为例:原文 “It is said to be modest and persistent, as it is able to grow even during cold winters.” 【点拨7】主旨大意——正确项必须覆盖全文,以 Passage 7 题 5 为例:原文首段 “A group of exchange students finished a survey comparing Chinese and British junior high students” 已点明全文框架,中间三段分别写性格、课外活动与友谊观,末段归结到文化差异不妨碍相互理解,故选 A。 【点拨8】文章出处——从材料的“外壳”找线索,以 Passage 3 题 5 为例:原文 “Click here to see more information.” Passage 1 Trip 1 Luoji Mountain Bring your strong shoes for the hiking in a beautiful area of Luoji Mountain. Then he got a good idea. Mum did the laundry on Saturdays. “Why don’t I wash my own clothes this week?” He ran to his room to get his clothes. He put them into the washing machine. Finally, he closed the door and pressed the big button “START”. After the washing was done, Jeremy took out the clothes. Everything seemed clean, and he felt very happy. Then he took a pink T-shirt out of the washing machine. Jeremy stopped. “________ I don’t have a pink T-shirt,” Jeremy said to himself. He reached into the washer to take out more clothes. There were more pink clothes! What happened? The last thing was a bright red sock. When he picked it up (拿起), the sock turned his hand red. “The sock turned all of my white clothes pink,” Jeremy thought. Having a national flower, fruit and animal shows a country’s awareness (意识) and respect for the gifts that nature has given it. England has roses, and the Netherlands has tulips. But China, despite many beautiful flowers, does not. China once had national flowers. During the Qing Dynasty, it was the peony (牡丹). The government of the Republic of China later changed it to the plum blossom (梅花). But after the People’s Republic of China was founded in 1949, a national flower was not chosen. Compared with small plum blossoms, peonies have large blossoms and vivid colors. Supporters of peonies think they represent China’s continuing rise. However, plum blossom supporters argue that the peony is often connected with chasing wealth and fame (名声), which is not encouraged. On the contrary, the plum blossom has very noble (高洁的) qualities. It is said to be modest and persistent, as it is able to grow even during cold winters. Some people have suggested that both flowers could be China’s national flowers—“one country, two flowers”, you might say. “China is just so big geographically, and both flowers are popular,” Li Qingwei, an associate professor at Beijing Forestry University, told China Daily. “So why not let both become national flowers?” 1.Which of the following flowers once became national flower of China? A.Roses. B.Tulips. C.Peonies. D.Not mentioned. 2.Which is NOT a characteristic of peonies? A.Large blossoms. B.Noble qualities. C.Vivid colors. D.Standing for continuing rise. 3.What does the underlined word in paragraph 4 mean? 4.Which of the following is NOT true about national flower according to the passage? A.The peony is able to grow even during cold winters. B.The People’s Republic of China hasn’t chosen a national flower. C.The peony is often connected with wealth and fame. D.Some people support“one country, two flowers”. 5.What is the passage mainly talking about? A.Which is the best national flower, peony, plum or both? B.The peony is the most suitable national flower of China. C.The plum is the most suitable national flower of China. D.Both the plum and the peony are chosen as national flower of China. 根据文章第二段中“During the Qing Dynasty, it was the peony (牡丹).” 2.根据文章第三段中“Compared with small plum blossoms, peonies have large blossoms and vivid colors. Supporters of peonies think they represent China's continuing rise.” 3.根据文章第四段中“It is said to be modest and persistent, as it is able to grow even during cold winters.” 4.根据文章第四段中“It is said to be modest and persistent, as it is able to grow even during cold winters.” Passage 6 Can you say the meaning of “zero”? Can you do addition and subtraction (加减法)? Most people can. But do you know bees can do these things too? A study shows that bees have even greater maths abilities. After some training, they can know the difference between even numbers and odd numbers. Some Australian scientists put up different cards with an odd (奇数的) or even (偶数的) number of triangles (三角形). They used the numbers 1 to 10. Then they trained the first group of bees to choose odd numbers and the second group to choose even numbers. If a bee flew to the right card, it would get sweet water. If it chose the wrong card, it got bitter (苦的) water. In a short time, all the bees knew what odd numbers or even numbers were. They could fly to the right numbers 80% of the time. After that, the scientists added new cards with the numbers 11 and 12. The bees never saw the numbers in their training before, but they could choose rightly 70% of the time. Surprisingly, the bees even learned odd numbers more quickly than people. How did the bees learn the numbers so fast? Scientists didn’t have a clear idea. But they believe if they find the answer, it will help them build better and faster computers. After all, a bee’s brain is about 86,000 times smaller than ours! 1.How does the writer start the passage? A.By listing facts. B.By giving examples. C.By asking questions. D.By using pictures. 2.Which of the following cards should the second group of bees fly to? A.①④ B.②③ C.①② D.③④ 3.Which of the following is TRUE according to the passage? A.Our brains are 8,600 times bigger than those of bees. B.Bees like bitter water rather than sweet water. C.After training, bees can learn even numbers more quickly than people. D.After training, bees can know the difference between even numbers and odd numbers. 4.What can we learn from the last paragraph? A.Bees have a great ability to learn numbers. B.Bees like odd numbers better than even numbers. C.Scientists know how bees learn numbers. D.Scientists know why bees can tell different numbers. 5.In which part of a newspaper can we read this passage? A.Animal World. B.Sports Life. C.Festival Week. D.Beautiful Cities. 根据文章第一段开头连续提出两个问句“Can you say the meaning of ‘zero’? Can you do addition and subtraction 2.根据文章第二段中“the second group to choose even numbers”,第二组蜜蜂需要选择偶数(三角形数量为偶数)。 3.根据文章第一段中“After some training, they can know the difference between even numbers and odd numbers.”,说明经过训练,蜜蜂可以分清奇数和偶数。 4. Passage 7 A group of exchange students finished a survey comparing Chinese and British junior high students’ personalities and daily habits. Here are their main findings. For personalities: Most Chinese students are quieter and more careful in class than British teenagers. They listen to teachers more patiently and take more detailed notes during lessons. British students are usually more outgoing and braver to put forward different ideas in class discussions. However, both groups are as kind as each other and ready to give a hand to classmates who fall behind in study. For spare-time activities: Chinese students spend more time on skill training classes after school, such as painting, piano and math lessons. British students spend much more time on outdoor group sports like rugby and hiking. Their daily exercise time is longer than most Chinese teenagers’. For opinions of friendship: Most Chinese students love long-term quiet friendships with people who share similar hobbies. Most British teenagers prefer making friends with different personalities. They believe friends with different strengths can bring more new fun and fresh experience to daily life. Though there are many clear differences between the two groups, the survey finds one common wish: All teenagers hope to get true friends who fully respect their real personalities, no matter similar or different. Cultural differences won’t stop young people from understanding each other better. 1.Compared with British students, Chinese students in class are ________. A.more outgoing and brave B.quieter and more careful C.better at outdoor sports D.quicker to disagree with teachers 2.What do British students spend more time on after school? B.They are ready to help weak classmates. C.They love long quiet friendship most. D.They take lots of art training every week. 4.What do most British teens think of friends? A.Friends must have totally same hobbies. B.Similar friends are more valuable. C.Different friends bring new fun. D.Cultural differences break friendship. 5.What is the main idea of the article? A.A survey compares Chinese and British junior students’ similarities and differences. B.Different after-school activities in Western middle schools. C.Ways to make foreign exchange friends. D.Personality changes during exchange study trips. 由第2段“Most Chinese students are quieter and more careful in class than British teenagers.” 2.由第3段“British students spend much more time on outdoor group sports like rugby and hiking.” 3.由第2段末句“both groups are as kind as each other and ready to give a hand to classmates who fall behind in study.” 4.由第4段“Most British teenagers prefer making friends with different personalities. It asks parents to make sure their children spend at least two hours a week doing housework at home. It is meant to help children understand the importance of labor (劳动) work and learn useful labor skills. The rule also asks schools to offer lessons about labor education, places for teaching labor skills, experienced teachers and tools (工具). It also says that there should be a special week for labor education and special money for these lessons. There is a big discussion about the new rule. Some people think it’s a good idea, but others don’t think so. “I just have a few hours to relax every weekend, and I have little time to do housework,” Wang Xing, a middle school student said. “I hardly have any classmates who do housework.” Xiong Bingqi, an expert (专家), said, “To make sure the new rule works well, parents’ participation (参与) is very important. Parents can help their children with chores and make housework part of family time. This way, children may enjoy it more and learn faster.” “Some parents care too much about grades and forget to teach their children important life skills.” Xiong said. “Doing housework can make students smarter and healthier. Just being good at school isn’t enough to be successful if students don’t have other important skills. In the future, students with strong life skills may find it easier to take care of themselves and face real-life problems.” 1.What is Paragraph 1 mainly about? A.A guide for parents to make housework fun. B.A way for teachers to teach labor skills. C.A new rule of kids’ labor education. D.A study of kids’ weekly housework time. 2.Why doesn’t Wang Xing like the rule? A.Because he thinks it’s not meaningful. B.Because he is too busy to do housework. C.Because studies are more important to him. D.Because his classmates all don’t like it. 3.According to Xiong Bingqi, what plays an important part in making the new rule work well? A.Parents’ participation B.Students’ much free time C.More money from students D.More homework at school 4.What does the underlined word “it” in Paragraph 5 refer to? A.Doing housework. B.Getting better grades. C.Being good at school. D.Following family rules 5.Which of the following may Xiong Bingqi agree with? A.It is right to care more about grades than labor skills. B.It is OK to teach kids labor skills when they grow up. C.It is hard to be successful if kids don’t have life skills. D.It is boring for kids to do housework for 2 hours weekly. 根据文章第1段“Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, has a new rule for both parents and children. It asks parents to make sure their children spend at least two hours a week doing housework at home.” 根据文章第4段“I just have a few hours to relax every weekend, and I have little time to do housework,Wang Xing, a middle school student said.” 根据文章第5段“Xiong Bingqi, an expert (专家), said, “To make sure the new rule works well, parents’participation (参与) is very important.”” 根据文章第5段“Parents can help their children with chores and make housework part of family time. This way, children may enjoy it more and learn faster.” 根据文章第6段“Just being good at school isn't enough to be successful if students don't have other important skills.” Click here to see more information 指向 On the Internet;手法题如开篇连发三问属于 By asking questions。 (5)词义猜测与代词指代(3 题,约占 8%):did the laundry、高洁品质一类词语猜测,以及末段 it 指代 doing housework。 二、结合本次特训题目的实战点拨 【点拨1】细节理解——原词复现定位,以 Passage 1 题 4 为例:原文 “Take your digital camera and enjoy the great sights here.” 【点拨4】词义猜测——由上下文同义解释反推,以 Passage 4 题 2 为例:原文 “Mum did the laundry on Saturdays.” 后文紧接着说 “Why don’t I wash my own clothes this week?”,还写到把衣服放进 washing machine,可见 did the laundry 就是 washed the clothes,故选 C。 【点拨5】句子还原——看空后一句的问答方向,以 Passage 4 题 3 为例:原文 “I don’t have a pink T-shirt,” Jeremy said to himself. Passage 6 Can you say the meaning of “zero”? Passage 8 Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, has a new rule for both parents and children.
