第一节(共15小题;每小题2分,满分30分)
阅读下列短文,从短文后每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中,选出最佳选项。
A
My family’s old house stands in a village in southern Anhui. It is made of wood and stone, and it has been standing for more than two hundred years.
Last spring, my parents told me that the old house would be pulled down and replaced by a new one. “It is cold in winter and the wood is old,” they said. I could not agree. Every time I touched the wooden doors, I felt I was touching my grandfather’s hand.
So I did something that surprised my family. I asked Grandpa to tell me the stories of the house, and I wrote them down. In the hall, there is a family rule on the wall: “Be honest, work hard, and be kind.” It was written by my great-great-grandfather. Under the floor, Grandpa once hid books to keep them safe in the war years.
I put the stories, the photos and Grandpa’s voice into a short video and shared it online, and many people watched it. Some of them had left the village long ago; they wrote to thank me for bringing their childhood back.
In the end, my parents changed their mind. We repaired the old house instead of pulling it down. Now the village school brings students here every year to learn about the past. History is not only in museums; it is around us—in an old house, in a family rule, in the stories we choose to keep.
26.Why did the writer want to keep the old house?
A.Because it was big and comfortable. B.Because it connected his family with its past.
C.Because it was worth a lot of money. D.Because the village asked his family to.
27.What did the writer do to save the house?
A.He asked the government for money. B.He bought a new house for his parents.
C.He made a video of its stories and shared it online. D.He left the village to work in a city.
28.What is the main idea of the passage?
A.Old houses are hard to live in. B.History lives in the small things around us.
C.Videos are better than books. D.Village schools should teach history.

Trees are important to life on Earth. They take in and store CO2, support animals, hold soil in place, manage water cycles (循环), and provide people with resources such as wood, food, and cooling shade during hot weather. However, forests around the world are facing a great change. New research shows that many forest ecosystems are becoming more similar, losing biodiversity (生物多样性), and growing weaker.
By examining more than 31,000 tree species across the world, scientists were able to map how forests are likely to change in the coming decades (几十年). Their job focused on changes in species makeup, long-term stability (稳定性), and how forests play a role as ecosystems.
The study found the number of fast-growing tree species is becoming increasingly large. At the same time, slower-growing trees face a growing risk of disappearance. Jens-Christian Svenning, a senior author of the study, points especially to the danger faced by trees that live only in certain small areas of the world. According to Svenning, these trees often have thick leaves, heavy wood, and long lives, and they are especially common in rainforests.
If climate change continues at present levels, forests are likely to prefer fast-growing trees. “Although they can grow well in a short time, they are more easily hurt by drought (干旱), storms, and other unusual weather events. This makes forests less effective at storing CO2 over the long term,” says Svenning.
According to the researchers, human actions are the main force behind these changes in forests. Human-driven climate change, deforestation (毁林), and the world’s trade in tree species all play a role. Fast-growing trees are often actively promoted (推广) because they produce wood quickly. But they are often weaker and easier to get sick. So the management of forests needs to change.
29.What’s the main idea of the first paragraph?
A.There are fewer forests around the world.
B.Forests are changing much faster than before.
C.Forests are important but they are facing problems.
D.Trees provide a lot of useful things for people.
30.What did scientists study in their research?
A.Where to find the oldest forests.
B.How to protect endangered trees.
C.How forests may develop in the future.
D.Why some tree species grow more slowly.
31.What did Svenning express about forests?
A.Worry. B.Hope. C.Doubt. D.Interest.
32.What will probably be discussed next?
A.The advantages of fast-growing trees.
B.The importance of trees to human life.
C.The danger faced by fast-growing trees.
D.The ways to improve forest management.

①Have you ever noticed that some kids love going to big parties or hanging out with a group of friends while others prefer to stay at home, read a book, or just enjoy their peaceful time? Well, there’s a reason for that! It has to do with your personality.
②Psychologists say there are two main kinds of people: E-people and I-people. Let me tell you what they’re like.
③E-people love being around other people. They feel energized when they’re with friends, going to parties, or doing fun group activities. For them, happiness is all about sharing laughs, stories, and exciting things with others.
④I-people like quiet time. They feel more relaxed and happier when they’re alone, doing things like reading, drawing, or just watching movies. They don’t need a lot of people around to feel good. They just need themselves and their favorite activities.
⑤But here’s the cool thing: Neither way is better! Both E-people and I-people can be happy, as long as they do what they enjoy. It’s like finding your favorite taste of ice cream—some people love chocolate, while others love strawberry. Both are great, but it depends on what you like.
⑥The most important thing is to understand yourself and do what makes you happy. Life is about finding what works for you and enjoying every minute. After all, happiness is like a jigsaw (拼图)—each piece is different, but when they fit together, they make your life complete.
⑦So, whether you prefer laughing with friends or enjoying quiet moments alone, embrace your true self. Be yourself, and your life will be filled with joy!
33.What does the underlined word “energized” mean in Paragraph 3?
A.bored B.active C.tired D.nervous
34.What can we know about I-people from Paragraph 4?
A.They like sharing with others. B.They prefer to join big parties.
C.They need a lot of people around D.They enjoy reading by themselves.
35.Which of the following best shows the structure of the passage?
A. B.
C.D.
36.What’s the main purpose of this passage?
A.To compare the advantages of E-people and I-people.
B.To explain why people have different personalities.
C.To tell people which personality is better.
D.To encourage people to accept themselves and be themselves.

The Przewalski’s horse is a living fossil. It has run on the grasslands of Asia for about six million years, and it is the only true wild horse left in the world.
But by the 1980s, this horse had disappeared from the wild in China. The reason was simple: people took more and more grassland for farming, and the horses lost both their food and their space. In 1985, a rescue programme began. Twenty-four horses, which had been born in European zoos, were brought to a centre in Xinjiang.
The first years were difficult. The horses had grown up with food and water provided by people, so they did not know how to find a river or how to escape from wolves. Keepers stayed with them day and night, recording every change in their behaviour. “We had to let them be wild again,” one keeper says, “but we also had to keep them alive.”
In 2001, the first group was released. Today, more than 700 horses live on the grasslands of Xinjiang and Gansu, and their number is still growing. Some of them have travelled hundreds of kilometres, forming new groups in places where no wild horse had been seen for decades.
However, the return of the horse has also brought new questions. Herders who have used the grassland for generations now share it with the horses. Scientists are working with them to plan where each group can graze, and some herders have become paid protectors of the horses. “Protection is not about moving people out,” a scientist explains. “It is about finding a way that works for both.”
37.Why did the Przewalski’s horse disappear from the wild in China?
A.Hunters killed most of them.
B.They lost their food and space.
C.A long drought hit the grassland.
D.They moved to Europe by themselves.
38.What made the first years of the programme difficult?
A.The centre was too far from Europe.
B.Few scientists wanted to work in Xinjiang.
C.The horses could not live in the wild alone.
D.The winter in Xinjiang was unusually short.
39.What do we learn about the horses today?
A.Fewer than 100 live in the wild.
B.They can no longer live with herders.
C.They all stay in one small area.
D.Their number is still increasing.
40.What does the scientist mean by the last sentence?
A.People should leave the grassland completely.
B.Herders should stop keeping sheep and cattle.
C.Protection should consider both animals and people.
D.Wild horses are more important than local families.

Li Jiaxin, 30, started her new business two years ago in Beijing. “I wasn’t happy with my old job, so I began to explore new careers,” Li said, “and I chose to be a decluttering consultant (整理收纳师). Most of my friends think that I’m good at tidying things up.”
Li finds joy in decluttering. “One of my clients (客户) impressed me a lot. She found us and said that her messy room was giving her a bad mood,” Li said. After discussing their decluttering plan, Li and her team spent three days finishing their work.
They started by emptying all the closets (橱柜), finding the items the client really needed. They also improved the layout (布局) of the closets, adding more boxes to better classify items. “There were so many clothes that we had to sit on the floor during our lunch break as this was the only free space,” Li said. After the work was done, the client was surprised to see her house become tidier and brighter. “It was then that I realized our work wasn’t only about organizing things but bringing brighter moods to clients and letting them wake up every morning with a better view,” Li added.
Li said that understanding design is necessary for the job. This knowledge helps the consultant (顾问) quickly come up with a plan. Being able to deal with unexpected situations is also necessary for decluttering consultants. Even the smallest and simplest rooms bring about problems like limiting the possibility for a new layout.
64.How was the client’s house after Li’s work?

【答案】
Hello, everyone! Look at the picture—the Earth is crying for help. It is our duty to protect the earth we live on. Here are some things we can do to save it.
First, we should plant more trees to make our world greener and fresher. Second, it’s a good idea to ride bikes or walk instead of taking cars. Third, we’d better use cloth bags while shopping, not plastic ones. What’s more, sort garbage before throwing it away. Remember to turn off lights when leaving rooms.
In a word, small actions can make a big difference. Let’s take action to make our earth a beautiful home!
