全文以一般现在时为主,人称以第一人称与第三人称交替,注意使用 be different from、be similar to、as...as、care about 等提示表达,并恰当使用比较级。
【参考范文】
My best friend is Wang Lin. We are in the same class, and we are very different.
Wang Lin is taller and much more outgoing than me. He plays basketball well and often makes the whole class laugh. I am quieter, and I am better at maths than him. In some ways we are similar: we both like reading, and we both get up early to run.
We get on well because we respect each other. He helps me speak in front of others, and I help him with his maths. When I feel sad, he is always ready to listen.
I think a good friend is like a mirror. Our differences make our friendship more interesting.

People often ask Mia and Amy if they are the same. The answer is no.
Mia and Amy are twins, but they are as different as two people can be. Mia is tall and outgoing. She plays basketball and loves speaking in front of the class. Amy is a little shorter and much quieter. She spends her free time drawing and reading.
Their mother says that when they were little, Mia talked all the time and Amy listened. "Amy was never unhappy about it," she says. "She just found her own way."
Last month, the school held an art show. Amy's picture of the two sisters won first prize. Mia was the first to run to her and say, "I knew you could do it!" Amy smiled and said, "And I knew you would be louder than anyone else in the hall." Everyone laughed.
The twins are not the same, but they are close. Mia helps Amy speak in public, and Amy helps Mia slow down and think. "We are like two different colours," Amy says. "Put us together, and the picture becomes more beautiful."

At school, you may meet classmates who are very different from you. They may be quieter, louder, more careful or more careless than you. Is it possible to become good friends? Yes — and here is how.
First, look for what you have in common. You may like the same music, play the same sport or worry about the same exam. Common interests are a good start.
Second, listen more than you speak. When your friend tells you something, try to understand how she feels instead of thinking about what to say next. A good listener is always welcome.
Third, respect the differences. Your friend doesn't have to be as hard-working as you, and you don't have to be as outgoing as her. Differences are not problems. They give you a chance to learn.
Finally, be honest. If something makes you unhappy, say it in a direct but friendly way. Keeping quiet for a long time only makes things worse.
Being different is normal. A friend who is not the same as you can show you a world you have never seen.
57. What is the first piece of advice? ( )
A. Look for common interests.
B. Talk more than you listen.
C. Keep your problems to yourself.
58. What does "A good listener is always welcome" suggest? ( )
A. You should speak loudly.
B. Listening helps you make friends.
C. You should never talk.
59. What is the passage mainly about? ( )
A. How to be as outgoing as others.
B. Why differences are bad.
C. How to make friends with different people.

My grandpa has a twin brother, Uncle Wei. When they were young, people could hardly tell them apart. But the two brothers chose different roads.
Grandpa loved books. He got up early to read and became a teacher in a village school. Uncle Wei was not as interested in books as Grandpa. He liked machines and spent hours taking old radios apart. At eighteen, he went to a factory in the city and learned to fix machines.
Grandpa earned little money, but he was happy with his students. Uncle Wei made more money, but he worked long hours. Every Spring Festival, the two brothers sat at the same table and talked for hours. Grandpa talked about his students; Uncle Wei talked about his machines. Neither of them understood the other's work, but both of them listened.
Last year, Grandpa stopped working at the school. Uncle Wei came to the village with a small radio he had made. "For your classroom," he said. "So your students can listen to English songs." Grandpa put it on his desk and smiled.
I asked Grandpa who had made the better choice. He thought for a while and said, "There is no better choice. We are different, and that is fine. The important thing is to do your own work well."
60. What did Uncle Wei like when he was young? ( )
A. Books. B. Machines. C. Music.
61. Where did Uncle Wei work? ( )
A. In a village school. B. On a farm. C. In a factory in the city.
62. What did the brothers do every Spring Festival? ( )
A. They sat and talked for hours.
B. They fixed radios together.
C. They taught students together.
63. What did Grandpa mean by "There is no better choice"? ( )
A. Both choices were bad.
B. Teaching is better than fixing machines.
C. Different choices can both be good.

David: I think friends should have something in common. My friends and I all love football. We play together every weekend, and we never run out of things to talk about. Of course, we are different in some ways, but the same interest keeps us together.
Jenny: I used to want a friend who was exactly like me. Then I met Amy. She is more outgoing and much braver than me. Because of her, I tried rock climbing for the first time. Now I think differences are interesting. They push us to grow.

These days, it is easy to compare yourself with others. Open your phone, and you will see classmates' holiday photos, friends' test scores and strangers' perfect lives. Many students feel worse after looking at them. Why?
One reason is that we only see the best part of other people's lives. A photo shows a happy smile, but it never shows the hours of hard work, the problems or the worries behind it. When we compare our whole life with someone's best moment, we are sure to lose.
Another reason is that we compare the wrong things. Being the best in every subject is impossible. But being a little better than yesterday is possible for everyone. If you must compare, compare with yourself.
Does that mean we should never learn from others? Of course not. We can see something good in a classmate's speaking or a friend's handwriting and then practise. The problem is not learning from others, but using their success to make us feel that we are not good enough.
So next time you find yourself comparing, stop and ask: "Am I looking at the whole picture?" Then close the phone, open your book, and take one small step. Your own progress is the only comparison that really matters.
67. Why do many students feel worse after looking at their phones? ( )
A. Because they see others' perfect moments.
B. Because their phones are too slow.
C. Because they have no photos to share.
68. What does the writer think is possible for everyone? ( )
A. Being the best in every subject.
B. Being a little better than yesterday.
C. Having a perfect life.
69. The underlined word "comparing" means "______". ( )
A. learning from others
B. talking with others
C. making friends
D. checking the differences between people
70. What is the writer's advice? ( )

B. Never learn from others.
