B A woman has been spotted leading a parade of animals down a street in Turkey — and the reasons behind it are just heart-warming. It may sound like the plot of a Disney movie, but the unknown woman is known to have been kindly feeding the homeless animals for years now. A woman named Dilara first posted the animal rescuer on Twitter in 2017. Dilara had been staying at her mother’s house when she first saw the remarkable sight. There, on the street below, Dilara spotted a woman out walking. Surrounding the woman were dozens of animals of different kinds — cats, dogs and birds, all eagerly joining her as if in some grand parade. Dilara was astonished. Learning about the truth made that unusual sighting all the more astonishing. She said: “The moment I saw her walking like that, I thought she was a witch (巫师) or something. The scene was so poetic. I was amazed how beautiful what she was doing for these animals was.” Then, a year later, Dilara saw the woman again, sharing another video on Twitter with the words: “We met again. I couldn’t go and talk, but we’ll meet you one day, Super Woman.” Later, Dilara posted an update that her mother had gone over to talk to the woman who was “pretty shy”. These parades, Dilara said, continue to this day. The woman’s work is hardly thankless, but she seems to prefer appreciation in the form of wagging tails and chirping (唧唧叫). “My mom found her and talked to her but she was too shy to talk”, Dilara said, noting that the woman was not alone in her good work. “The streets are full of food left out for animals. It’s pretty common in Turkey actually. Everybody loves homeless animals here.” How lovely! 24. What did the unknown woman do to become well-known online? A. She posted a remarkable sight. B. D. hardworking and shy. 27. Where is the text probably from? A. A guidebook. B. A news report. C. A novel. D. A diary. C Zero or light soft drinks contain no or less sugar, so it naturally seems reasonable for people to think that, in addition to your health, this is also a better choice for your teeth, and thus they are becoming widely accepted. But is this actually the case? Zero or light soft drinks contain little sugar, but they are not necessarily safer for your teeth. Experts stress that although these soft drinks do not have sugar that causes tooth damage, they often contain acids (酸) that can attack the surface of your teeth. The acidity in these drinks can cause similar damage to sugar-sweetened soft drinks. Although changing to zero or light soft drinks reduces sugar intake, it does not eliminate its risk to your teeth. Acid erosion (腐蚀) is the wearing down of tooth surface by the action of acids, and soft drinks speed up this process. As tooth surface can no longer recover, it becomes thinner and weaker. Over time, this can lead to sensitivity, colour change and, in extreme cases, exposed tooth nerves. For example, the pH level in your mouth drops after drinking a can of soft drink due to its high acidity. Low pH promotes demineralization (脱矿) of your tooth surface, which means that necessary minerals are pulled out of the surface, making your teeth weaker to damage. While zero or light soft drinks contain no sugar and cause fewer holes of the teeth, they are still harmful to your teeth. Therefore, it is wise not to have them too much. Also, to limit damage to your teeth, you can clean your mouth with water after drinking to wash away acids, but wait at least 30 minutes before brushing — doing it right away can actually further damage your tooth surface. Use a straw (吸管) to limit direct contact of the drink with your teeth. The tips also apply when drinking regular sodas with sugar. 28. Why are zero or light soft drinks becoming popular? A. They are thought healthier. B. They can energize people. C. They have richer tastes. D. They are free of acids. 29. What does the underlined word “eliminate” in paragraph 2 mean? A. Increase. B. Spread. C. Remove. D. Foresee. 30. What does paragraph 3 mainly talk about? A. How acids form in zero or light soft drinks. B. Measures to recover teeth from acid erosion. C. Effects that acids have on zero or light soft drinks. D. How zero or light soft drinks thin the tooth surface. 31. What is one way to reduce the harm of zero or light soft drinks to teeth? A. Turning to a straw to limit soft drinks intake. B. Avoiding immediate brushing after drinking. C. Drinking more soft drinks to strengthen teeth. D. Waiting for half an hour to wash after drinking. D Ten years ago, the science fiction series Black Mirror showed a story about using artificial intelligence (人工智能) to bring back loved ones. Thanks to technological advancement, the latest AI technology brings back loved ones through virtual form. Recently, it was reported that famous musician Tino Bao had created a digital version of his daughter, who passed away in 2021 due to a rare disease at the age of 22. With the help of AI, Bao was able to recreate his late daughter Bao Rong as a virtual figure. Tino Bao, his family and the team tried to piece together pictures, videos and memories of Rong. After thousands of trials and errors, they presented the life-like digital human who speaks in both Chinese and English. Bao finally set up a company to bring the technological miracle to other families experiencing such loss. However, every coin has two sides. The idea of bringing back a loved one through AI may seem comforting. Still, researchers warn that constantly interacting with an AI version of a deceased loved one could lead to lasting sadness and other mental health problems. After the case of Bao Rong, AI resurrection (复活) has become a business. Some people use it to commit crimes or make profits. Therefore, it is important for the government to make laws to make sure the use of AI resurrection technology is safe and responsible. 32.How does AI bring back loved ones? A. By taking pictures. B. By building a system. C. By creating virtual form. D. By playing recordings. 33.What does the underlined word “deceased” in the third paragraph probably mean? A. Seriously ill B. Recently missing C. No longer alive D. Physically disabled 34.What do the researchers think of AI resurrection? A. Negative. B. Positive. C. Neutral. D. Unconcerned. 35.What should the government do? A. Stop people from using the technology. B. Apply the technology as soon as possible. C. Strengthen the management of the technology. D. Educate the public about the dangers ofthe technology. 第二节(共 5 小题;每小题 2.5 分,满分 12.5 分) School is a place where students can gain knowledge and many skills, however, it also can be a place where bullying (霸凌) occurs. 36 So it’s important for you students to learn how to avoid being bullied. ● The best way to deal with bullying is to stop it before it starts. But a recent scare made me realize children might be more independent than I thought. A few weeks ago, I sent my daughter Yuki, a 7-year-old girl, to the dancing course on an electric bike as usual, lasting two hours from 6: 30 pm. Upon arrival, I promised my daughter that I would come picking her up on time. Then I went to my yoga class. I was in such a hurry that I rode my electric bike at full speed. But when on my halfway, I found my electric bike almost short of power. I knew I had to go back home first after my workout and then went for Yuki by car. However, when I got home, I was told by my mum that my dad had driven the car out. Mom rang up dad immediately and repeatedly urged him to bring Yuki home at the right time and my dad said yes on the phone. Relieved that everything would be fine, I took my little son downstairs to play while waiting for my daughter. At around 9: 20 pm, after I bathed and put my son to bed, my dad and daughter still hadn’t come back. I wondered why — driving home shouldn’t take so long — and worried about their safety. Uneasy and anxious, I phoned my dad. No response. I phoned again, and he answered. Much to my shock, my dad responded in surprise that he didn’t even hear what my mum had said on the phone due to the poor signal and his bad hearing. I was entirely rooted to the spot, palms sweating. Would my daughter be alone and scared? Would she get lost? After all, she was just a primary school student. Thinking of Yuki being alone outside waiting for me, without a phone and money, I was in panic. Without a second thought, I called a taxi through taxi service. 注意: 1. 续写词数应为150左右; 2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 I hurriedly pulled my coat on and rushed out of the door. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I was searching for Yuki everywhere, downstairs and upstairs, when my phone suddenly rang. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
