Unit8 Lets Communicate Section A (3a-3c) 教学设计-2026-2027学年人教版英语八年级上册
Unit 8 Let’s Communicate!
Section B 3a-3c
一、Teaching Aims
1. Students can read the sentences in Grammar Focus and find more sentences with if-clauses in Section A.
2. Students can match the two parts of if-clause sentences correctly and understand the structure "If + present simple, ... will + verb".
3. Students can fill in the blanks with the correct verb forms in if-clauses and discuss the situations.
4. Students can use if-clauses to talk about communication methods and make predictions about the future.
二、Key and Difficult Points
1. Key points: (1) The structure of if-clauses: If + present simple, ... will + verb (base form); (2) Key vocabulary and phrases from Section A related to communication: face-to-face talk, texting, rehearsal, pick up, etc.; (3) The five example sentences in 2a showing different uses of if-clauses.
2. Difficult points: (1) Understanding that in if-clauses referring to the future, we use the present simple tense, not "will"; (2) Using the correct verb forms (base form vs. -s form vs. -ed form) in the blanks; (3) Matching the sentence parts correctly in 2b and understanding the logic behind each match.

四、Teaching Procedures
Step 1: Warm-up and Lead-in (5 mins)
1. The teacher greets the students and reviews the key sentences from Section A listening conversations, especially those with "will" and "if".
2. The teacher writes one sentence on the blackboard: "If you want to solve the problem, a face-to-face talk usually works the best." and asks students: "What do you notice about this sentence? Is there an 'if' word? What tense do we use after 'if'?"
3. The teacher introduces the Grammar Focus section and explains that today they will study if-clauses more carefully.
[Purpose] To review previous learning and activate students' attention on if-clauses, leading naturally to the Grammar Focus content.
Step 2: Reading and Observing (2a) (10 mins)
1. The teacher asks students to read the five sentences in 2a aloud: (1) If you want to solve the problem, a face-to-face talk usually works the best. (2) Texting can make things worse if you're not careful with your words. (3) If the rehearsal ends at 7:00 p.m., I'll pick you up at 7:15 p.m. (4) If you stay calm and say sorry, it will help. (5) If I go there, I will try all the delicious local food.
2. The teacher asks students to find more sentences with if-clauses in Section A (1a-2e) and write them down.
