二、阅读理解
A
China’s space programme has made amazing progress in recent years. The country has built its own space station, called Tiangong, and sent many crewed spacecraft into orbit. In May 2026, Shenzhou-23 carried three astronauts—including the first astronaut from Hong Kong—to the space station. This was China’s eighth “space meeting” between different astronaut groups.
A crewed spacecraft is a vehicle that carries people into space. China began developing its own crewed spacecraft in the 1990s. Shenzhou-5, launched in 2003, was China’s first crewed space mission. Yang Liwei became the first Chinese astronaut in space. Since then, China has improved its spacecraft technology greatly. Today, Shenzhou spacecraft can carry three astronauts and dock with the space station in just about 3.5 hours.
The Tiangong space station is as important as the International Space Station. It has three main parts: the Tianhe core module, the Wentian lab module and the Mengtian lab module. Astronauts live and work there for months, doing hundreds of science experiments. China has also improved the safety of its spacecraft. For example, Shenzhou-23 has a new triple-layer window design to better protect astronauts from space debris.
Without doubt, China’s crewed spacecraft programme is one of the best in the world. The country plans to send astronauts to the Moon before 2030. Although the journey will be difficult, China is determined to make it happen. The future of Chinese space exploration looks brighter than ever.

2050: What Will Happen to You?
Our world is changing quickly because technology (技术) is developing fast. What changes will we see by 2050? Let’s read!
▲
Scientists are finding new ways to help people live longer and healthier lives. They study how to slow down “getting old” and even grow new body parts with special small cells (tiny parts in our bodies). By 2050, humans may live much longer than today!
Smarter AI
AI (Artificial Intelligence, a kind of smart computer) may be as smart as humans—or smarter! It can learn by itself and help in many areas, like science and school. Maybe one day, an AI teacher can make special lessons just for you (fit your needs well)!
Smart Cities
Future cities will be very smart. AI can help control traffic: roads will be safer and less crowded. We will use green energy (like wind) instead of old energy (like coal). This makes cities good for the Earth. There will be more green parks, and pollution (污染) will be much lower!
Space Travel
In the future, everyone may have a chance to travel to spaces! Scientists are making special space homes and new ways to grow food. Maybe someday, we can build homes on Mars (a planet like Earth)!
These new technologies will bring many cool things that seem “not possible” today. But we must use them in a good and safe way. Most importantly: Technology should help people, not take over our lives!

三、语法填空
阅读下面短文,在空白处填入一个适当的单词或用括号内所给词的正确形式填空,使短文通顺、连贯。
This is a diary kept by Li Jun 1 10 October, 2053.
I’m so happy that I’ll be one of the first 2 (student) to travel into space tomorrow. The spaceship 3 (leave) the Earth at 9 a.m. It’ll take us to the Moon. I can’t wait to go there right now.
The Moon is about 380,000 kilometers from the Earth, so we will spend about four days 4 (get) there. There is much 5 (low) gravity than the Earth in space, so we’ll be floating in the spaceship. We’ll have to tie 6 (we) to our beds so that we won’t float away in our sleep! 7 gravity, our bodies may get weak, so we’ll have to do exercises every day.
When we arrive, I 8 (walk) on the Moon. I’ll have to wear a spacesuit to help me 9 (breath) because there’s no air on the Moon. I’m going to take as 10 (more) photos as I can, that is to say, if my camera still works up there...
四、阅读下面短文,根据短文内容回答问题。
China’s Plan to Explore the Solar System
On March 8, 2026, the China National Space Administration (CNSA) shared its new plan for solar system exploration. The plan includes three big steps.
First, in 2028, China will launch the Tianwen-3 mission. Its goal is to collect samples from Mars and bring them back to Earth. This is very difficult because Mars has thin atmosphere and dust storms. But CNSA scientists have designed a special spacecraft to solve these problems.
Second, in 2032, China will send a probe to Jupiter. Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system, with 95 moons. The probe will study Jupiter’s atmosphere and one of its moons, Europa, which may have an ocean under its icy surface.
Third, by 2040, China hopes to build a small research station on the Moon’s south pole. This station will use solar power and water from lunar soil (as discovered in 2025). Astronauts will stay there for short periods to do experiments.
CNSA also plans to train more young scientists. Starting in 2027, high school students can join space camps to learn about rocket design and planetary science. “The future of space exploration depends on young people,” said Dr. Wang from CNSA.“We want to inspire them to dream big.”
These plans show that China is serious about exploring space. While challenges exist, the journey to the stars has already begun.
