Yet with social development, especially the emergence of digital tools, urban residents’ ways of spending leisure time have been changing. As introduced by a British urban lifestyle column, four mainstream leisure choices have gained great popularity in modern cities. Venue Experience Visitors who have booked their destinations online according to their own schedules may pay a visit to art galleries, concert halls and themed exhibition halls, where wonderful performances and creative artworks are on show for public appreciation. All these public spaces set basic rules like keeping quiet and staying away from exhibits, so every visitor can fully enjoy the artistic atmosphere without disturbing others around. App-based Guided Tour With the support of practical mobile applications, people can start self-planned city tours whenever they are free. These apps offer vivid historical stories and little-known local sights, enabling travelers to explore the city freely at their own pace rather than sticking to rigid travel routes arranged by others. Community Activity Hosted by local neighborhood groups, small gatherings allow participants to exchange hobbies, practical life skills and interesting daily experiences. These activities have no strict time limits, and they naturally connect people matching interests and life perspectives. Casual Street Entertainment Short-term street shows and temporary art activities are especially popular with busy office workers. They require no advance reservation and perfectly match people’s fragmented (碎片化) free time, bringing simple and genuine happiness to those under daily life pressure. 21.What is special about Venue Experience? A.It needs reservations. B.It has the same theme. C.It sells artworks online. D.It focuses on exhibits. 22.Which offers the platform for those sharing the same topics? A.App-based Guided Tour. B.Community Activity. C.Casual Street Entertainment. D.Venue Experience. 23.What do the four leisure choices have in common? A.They hold activities temporarily. B.They have fixed visiting routes. C.They suit people’s spare moments. D.They depend heavily on digital tools. B When I was 10, I was caught in a lie. I stubbornly denied breaking a window in my neighbor’s barn, but my parents knew I had done it. In those days, a broken window was a big deal, and I was close to miserable. Then Uncle Jim arrived. He never raised his voice or rushed. Riding beside him in his old green car, I kept glancing at him nervously. I could see a confused smile at the corner of his mouth. “Telling the truth is always easier,” he said out of the blue. He grinned at me. “So it’s perfect for a lazybones like you and me.” That was it — no lecturing, no scolding. My uncle began to hum (哼歌), and I was awash in relief. Not long after, I spotted a pair of brown leather gloves on the windowsill in the post office. Old Mrs Jameson had come in wearing them and left barehanded. I tried them on. They were perfect. That night, my conscience troubled me. The truth is easier for a lazybones. The next day, I returned the gloves. A month later, Mrs Jameson sent me a new pair with a note of thanks. When Uncle Jim asked where I got them, I told him the story. “See?” he said, delighted. Uncle Jim taught me far more than that. One August day, we were fishing in a small boat. I was a bit down at our slow pace. He said speed was fine if you wanted to go fast, but slowing down made any journey less of a blur. “It helps you focus,” he said. I thought of that decades later when he was dying, in his 82nd year. Was he seeing more, even as he slowed? Uncle Jim was an observer who touched those he loved by sharing what he saw. Some things I understood quickly, but others took decades to become clear. Be honest, be brave, look around and slow down — the words were never spoken, but the message always got through. 24.How did Uncle Jim react to the author’s lie? A.He let the lie slide. B.He offered mild guidance. C.He delivered a long lecture. D.He gave a severe punishment. 25.Why did Mrs Jameson send the author a new pair of gloves? A.She knew he was fond of gloves. B.She had extra gloves to give away. C.Her old gloves no longer fitted her. D.She intended to reward his honesty. 26.What does the underlined phrase “less of a blur” in paragraph 4 mean? A.Less boring. B.Less risky. C.More exciting. D.More apparent. 27.What is the main message of the passage? A.Truth does not need to be spoken. B.The elder always give wise advice. C.Honesty and patience matter in life. D.Mistakes are unavoidable for children. C We expect our doctors to be demi gods — faultless, tireless, always right. But they are only human. Increasingly, they are stretched thin, working long hours, under enormous pressure, and often with limited resources. Of course, better conditions would help, including more staff and improved systems. But even in the best funded clinics with the most committed professionals, standards can still fall short. Despite years of training, human brains are not optimally equipped for the pace, pressure, and complexity of modern healthcare. Given that patient care is medicine’s core purpose, the question is who, or what, is best placed to deliver it? AI may still raise doubts, but research increasingly shows how it could help fix some of the most persistent problems and overlooked failures — from misdiagnosis and error to unequal access to care. Modern medicine prides itself on being scientific, yet doctors don’t always practise what the evidence recommends. Studies show that evidence-based treatments are offered only about half the time to adults in the US. Doctors can also disagree about diagnoses. In a study of more than 12,000 radiology images, reviewers offering second opinions disagreed with the original assessment in about one in three cases. As alarming as this is, there are understandable reasons for these failures — and viewed from another angle, it’s remarkable that doctors get it right as often as they do. Medical knowledge also moves faster than doctors can keep up. By graduation, half of what medical students learn is already outdated. It takes an average of 17 years for research to reach clinical practice, and with a new biomedical article published every 39 seconds, even skimming the abstracts would take about 22 hours a day. There are more than 7,000 rare diseases, with 250 more identified each year. In contrast, AI processes vast amounts of medical data at lightning speed, 24/7. Where doctors vary in unwanted ways, AI is consistent. AI’s superpower is spotting patterns humans miss, and these tools are surprisingly good at recognising rare diseases. Patients are increasingly recognising these benefits. Then there’s the problem of access. Those most in need — the sickest, poorest and most marginalised in society — are the ones most likely to be left behind. American Time Use Survey data shows patients sacrifice two hours for a 20-minute doctor’s visit. This will only work for those who can use it, of course. Internet access is improving globally, but there are still serious gaps: 2.5 billion people remain offline. 28.Why does the author begin by describing doctors as “demi gods”? A.To stress the unrealistic expectations people have of doctors. B.To show that doctors are usually trained to be perfect. C.To criticize medical schools for poor training. D.To highlight doctors’ higher social status. 29.What problem does the author highlight with current medical practice? A.Most doctors do not believe in scientific methods. B.Doctors usually misinterpret biomedical research articles. C.Doctors often fail to apply evidence-based treatments consistently. D.Medical students are unwilling to learn updated medical knowledge. 30.What can be inferred about AI’s role in healthcare? A.AI is especially useful for detecting common diseases. B.AI could completely replace doctors in medical services. C.AI has already solved the problem of global internet access. D.AI may reduce inconsistency in diagnosis and improve access. 31.What is the author most likely to discuss in the following paragraph? A.The history of artificial intelligence in medicine. B.More examples of patients rejecting AI technology. C.Evidence that AI is less accurate than human doctors. D.Solutions to the digital divide that limits AI healthcare. D Traditionally, the work of the naturalist has been one of hard work and extreme patience, involving going out into the field, observing or capturing animals and counting them. Now, two teams of scientists have developed a ground-breaking technique to monitor the location of animals on land by collecting their DNA from thin air. Bohmann, a professor at the University of Copenhagen, led her team to test whether airborne environmental DNA (eDNA) could be used to detect different animal species by collecting samples at the Copenhagen Zoo. They used a fan-like device to suck air, and then extracted the DNA from the air and sequenced (测定序列) it. Once processed, the DNA sequences were compared to a reference database to identify the animal species. Meanwhile, a second team led by Elizabeth Clare from Queen Mary University of London was conducting a similar experiment at Hamerton Zoo Park in Cambridgeshire. Both teams detected the presence of animals living at the zoos. They also identified animals living in the surrounding areas, including the Eurasian hedgehog which is endangered in the UK. “Collecting and sequencing airborne eDNA has the potential to transform the way natural ecosystems are studied and surveyed,” says Clare. In the future, it could be used to monitor how species are changing their distributions in response to climate change, or detect the presence of insects and species in sensitive environments. Bohmann explains the challenges that ecologists face without this kind of technique. “Earlier in my career, I went to Madagascar hoping to see lots of lemurs (狐猴). I rarely saw them. Instead, I mostly just heard them jumping their way through trees,” she says. “For many species, it can be a lot of work to detect them by direct observation, especially if they live in closed or inaccessible habitat.” The technique could shape the way scientists map species and could potentially help them remove the need for camera traps, in-person monitoring and intensive field work. While there is still much to do, such as improving battery life of the device to develop the technique, the scientists behind the technique have already made history. 32.What is the new technique intended for? A.Counting the number of animals. B.Observing the behaviour of animals. C.Detecting the presence of animals. D.Changing the habitats of animals. 33.What is paragraph 2 mainly about? A.The advantages of a fan-like device. B.The tests of the new eDNA technique. C.The importance of protecting animals. D.The methods of collecting eDNA samples. 34.Why are Bohmann’s words mentioned in paragraph 4? A.To prove the danger of naturalists’ work. B.To stress the significance of the new technique. C.To show the difficulties of studying ecosystems. D.To present the impact of observing animals. 35.What can be inferred about the new technique from the last paragraph? A.It has already been widely applied. B.It has solved the battery problem. C.It will replace all traditional methods. D.It still needs further improvement. 第二节 七选五(共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分) You don’t have to be Leonardo da Vinci or Albert Einstein to think like a genius. There are plenty of ways to hone your creativity and sharpen your critical thinking skills. Stimulate Your Brain. Even if a random thought isn’t totally formed, writing it down will help you keep it in mind instead of just forgetting about it. 36 Eventually, it could turn into an inspiration for a work of art, an invention, or a solution to a problem at work, school, or in your personal life. Be productive. Nothing worthwhile is achieved by passive consumption. Do something productive related to the type of genius you want to cultivate every day. If you want to be an exceptional musician, practice your instrument as much as possible. If you want to be a great novelist, try to write a story every day. 37 Make connections with a broad range of people. 38 Inspiration and innovation don’t happen in a vacuum. Having frequent conversations with friends, family, colleagues, and mentors will expose you to a range of perspectives and give you more grain for your mill. 39 When you’re confronted with an abstract problem or feel like your thoughts are jumbled, use visual aids to help see the bigger picture. They can help you organize information and spot connections between concepts that you might not have noticed. Educate yourself about diverse topics. Learning about a broad range of topics can help you get a bird’s eye view of how things work. From documentaries to how — to articles, there are plenty of resources at your disposal. 40 Thinking like a genius is not about being born brilliant — it is about practicing the right habits every single day. A.As you learn about different subjects, think about how they connect to one another. B.Visual tools are more useful than traditional ways in dealing with all kinds of problems. C.The idea that a genius is a solitary(孤僻的), isolated figure is a myth. D.Given some time, you might think it over and bring it into focus. Staring at the numbers and symbols, which were difficult to understand, in the test paper, she had to fight back her tears. She put the test paper aside and lay in the sofa, saying to herself, “I can never do this” in disappointment. Having seen all this, Amellia’s father came, sitting beside her, “You can, if you think you can,” he said. His voice carried the firm message it always did when repeating his life’s mantra (口头禅). “That’s easy for you to say,” Amellia groaned (嘟囔), “Math makes no sense to me.” Her father sighed, removing his glasses. “When I was thirteen, I was asked to stand before the class to read aloud. I couldn’t. The words swam on the page—Dyslexia (阅读困难症) . No one understood it then. But my father told me those same words—‘You can, if you think you can’ and eventually, I proved him right.” Amellia wiped her nose, her father’s mantra sounding meaningless to her. Anyway, her problem was not dyslexia; it was math! Months passed with little progress. Treating her efforts as useless, Amellia even gave up her struggle. Each of Mr. Thompson’s math classes felt like approaching a battlefield unarmed. Unsurprisingly, she got another D for math in the October exam and she almost gave herself up as hopeless. That evening, Dad seated Amellia at the kitchen table and placed a cup of tea before her. “I’m poor at math,” she sighed to the steaming liquid. “You are poor at math,” he agreed, surprising her. “But one day you’ll say you were poor at math.” He patted her shoulder. “The question is — do you want that day to come?” 注意:1.续写词数应为150左右;2.请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 Paragrapgh1:Something in Dad’s tone inspired Amellia. Paragrapgh2:On exam day, Amellia’s hands shook as she entered the hall to take the math exam. 2027届高三英语10月月考答案 1. 听力 1-5:CA BAA 6-10:CC BBA 11-15:ABBCC 16-20:ABCBA 2. 阅读 21-25:ABCBD 26-30:DCACD 31-35:DCBBD 36-40: DFCGA 3. 完形 41-45: BDCDA 46-50: BDBCA 51-55:BACCA 4. 语法填空 56. has been used 57.injuries 58.anxiety 59.and 60.which 61.selects 62.linked 63.Despite 64.traditional 65.gradually 5. 应用文 Dear Lisa, I’m glad to hear about the English Corner next Saturday. But I’ve noticed that students are not very active in participating. The main reasons are that the activity form is single, usually just free talk, which makes some shy students nervous. Besides, many students think it’s hard to keep up with others if their English is not good. To solve this, it would be helpful if we could add interesting activities like English games or song singing, which can reduce pressure and attract more students. Also, I suggest that we should divide students into small groups according to their English level so that everyone can join easily. I hope my suggestions will be of help. Yours, LiHua 6. 读后续写范文 Something in Dad’s tone inspired Amellia. The next morning, with a determined look on her face, she removed all social media apps from her phone and signed up for Mr. Thompson’s after-school tutoring. At first, progress came painfully slowly. Overwhelmed by tough problems, she buried her face in hands and wept away her tears on sleepless nights. Day after day, she stuck to her efforts and faced them bravely when meeting difficulites. Her father observed her transformation, a glow of pride shining in his eyes, reminding her to slow down and refresh herself occasionally. As the exam day approached, Amelia felt both nervous and prepared. On exam day, Amellia’s hands shook as she entered the hall to take the math exam. Staring at the exam paper before her, Amelia felt a sense of anxiety, her heart pounding wildly. Instantly, Dad’s words echoed in her mind: You can, if you think you can. Taking a deep breath to steady her trembling hands, she cleared her messy thoughts and focused on each question. Gradually, immersed in the test, she wrote steadily and solved tricky problems one after another. When the exam ended, confidence flooded her heart. The A she got the next day rewarded her efforts. Only then did Amelia realize the power of faith and perseverance.
