Someone Who Helps Me Grow
When I entered Grade 9, I often felt stressed about my studies. I even wanted to give up maths because I kept getting low marks.
My maths teacher, Mr Li, noticed my problem. One day, he told me, "Everyone learns at their own pace. What matters is that you keep trying." His words made me feel better. From then on, he helped me after class every Tuesday. He taught me to write down my mistakes and review them regularly.
With his help, I became more confident. I learned that failure is not the end. It is a chance to learn and grow. Now, whenever I face difficulties, I remind myself to stay calm and keep going.
I will work harder and never give up. I also want to help others when they are in trouble, just as Mr Li helped me.

At first, the group could not agree on the topic. Lily wanted to talk about sleep. Tom thought exercise was more important. Anna suggested discussing stress. David said they should focus on screen time. They talked for a long time but still could not decide.
Then Tom said, "Why don't we include all four topics? We can divide the poster into four parts." Everyone thought it was a great idea. In the end, their project won first prize.

Ms Liu did not tell Jack to stop playing games. Instead, she gave him a simple notebook and asked him to write down how he spent his time for one week. Jack was surprised to find that he spent nearly three hours a day on games.
Together, they made a plan. Jack would finish his homework first after school. He could play games for thirty minutes only after everything was done. He also decided to go to bed before 10:30 p.m.
At first, Jack found it hard to follow the plan. But he stuck to it. Two weeks later, he felt more energetic in class. His grades improved, and he argued less with his mother. "I learned that managing time is not about giving up everything you enjoy," Jack said. "It's about finding a balance."

Last term, our class was asked to prepare a charity sale for children in mountain areas. Everyone was excited, but we did not know where to start. Some students wanted to sell snacks. Others wanted to sell handmade toys. We argued for a while and could not make a decision.
Our class monitor, Lin Tao, suggested that we have a group discussion after school. He said, "Let's listen to everyone's idea first. Then we can vote for the best one." Some students thought this would waste time because they wanted to start preparing right away. But Lin Tao believed it was important for everyone to take part.
During the discussion, we decided to sell handmade cards and bookmarks. Some students were good at drawing. Others were good at writing. We worked together and finished over two hundred cards in one week.
On the day of the charity sale, the weather was bad. It rained heavily in the morning, and we worried that few people would come. However, many teachers and students still came to support us. We sold all the cards and raised 3,000 yuan.
When we handed the money to the charity, I felt proud. This experience taught me that teamwork can help us do things we cannot do alone. It also taught me that even small actions can bring warmth to others.
