Tony started to change. He spent his free time reading books and practicing English speaking. He has kept practicing for one year.

In today’s world, communication is very important for teenagers. However, many of them find it difficult to communicate well. So, how can teenagers communicate better?
First, listen carefully. When someone is talking with you, stop what you’re doing and look at them. For example, if your friends are sharing something important, put down your phone and focus on their words. This shows you respect them and are interested in what they say.
Second, express (表达) yourself clearly. Use simple words to say what you think and feel. If you’re angry because a friend borrowed your book without asking, you can say, “I feel unhappy when you took my book without telling me.” Don’t be afraid to share your true thoughts.
Third, use body language. A smile, a friendly look, or a nod can make your words more powerful. When you say “Yes” with a big smile, it makes others feel your agreement more strongly. Sometimes, we need to use body language more often.
Fourth, respect others’ opinions. Even if you don’t concur, don’t interrupt (打断). You can say, “I see your point, but I think differently. Let’s talk about it.” This way, you can have a good discussion without hurting others.
Finally, choose the right time and place. Don’t talk about serious things when your friend is in a hurry. Find a quiet place where you can both focus on the conversation.

One night in December 2011, a bear came into the city of Vancouver in Canada. It walked through the streets, past houses, shops and offices until it found some food in bins outside a restaurant and started eating. In the morning, someone saw the bear and called the police. They came with a vet from the city zoo, put the bear in a lorry and took it back to the mountains. Luckily, the bear was safe, but what happens in other countries when big animals come into cities?
In Cape Town, South Africa, baboons (狒狒) enter the city when they are hungry. They go into gardens and eat fruit from trees, or into houses and take food from cupboards (碗橱) and fridges. Baboons are strong animals and they can scare people. But the city can be dangerous for baboons too.
Sometimes, they are killed in traffic accidents. Human food is very bad for their teeth because it has a lot of sugar. Now, there are baboon monitors (监督员) working in Cape Town to return the animals to the countryside.
In Berlin, pigs sometimes come into the city to look for food. They eat flowers and plants from parks and gardens, and cause accidents in the streets. Some people like the pigs and they give them food and water to drink. Other people do not like the pigs and want the government and police to stop them.
In Moscow, there are 35,000 wild dogs. They live in parks, old houses, markets and train stations. Many people give them food and water. Some make small houses for the dogs in their gardens. This helps them in winter, when the temperature is-10℃ and there is a lot of snow and ice.

Good communication skills will help teenagers make more friends and have better relationships. So start practising these tips now!

In some cities, you can see birds, insects, mice and squirrels every day. But sometimes, it is dangerous when big animals come from the countryside to find food. We need some good ideas to stop animals coming into the city without hurting them.

A.Because they are hungry. B.Because they are homeless.
C.Because they are lost. D.Because they like being with humans.
57.Why should we stop animals from entering cities?
A.Because they often kill people in the streets.
B.Because they eat too much food in people’s gardens.
C.Because they may harm other animals in the city.
D.Because they may cause trouble and endanger people’s lives.
58.What does the writer believe people should do?
A.Send animals back to their owners. B.Kill those dangerous animals in cities.
C.Help big animals stay away from cities. D.Build enough houses for animals in cities.
59.Which of the following is TRUE about the big animals which come into cities?
A.Bears in Vancouver are kept in the city zoo.
B.Baboons are taken back to the wild.
C.Pigs are always well treated in Berlin.
D.Wild dogs cause many problems in Moscow.

Think about your school morning. You and your classmates pass your schoolwork through different hands, from your group leader-to the class representative (课代表), and finally to the 66 . It sounds easy, 67 sometimes it can go wrong and take a lot of time.
Tom, a middle school boy did a meaningful job to 68 this problem. He made a smart homework collection (收集) robot and won the 69 prize in the Students’ Invention Awards in his school. 71.through 72.plans 73.quickly 74.using 75.creative
介词by后接动名词,use变为using。

His teacher noticed his problem and talked with him patiently. She told Tony that real value never comes from appearance. Hard work, kindness and courage make a person excellent.

In some cities, you can see birds, insects, mice and squirrels every day. But sometimes, it is dangerous when big animals come from the countryside to find food. We need some good ideas to stop animals coming into the city without hurting them.
