A year ago, when I wanted to share my ideas in an
English class, I could not express myself well. I felt sorry
about that, so I made a plan to improve my English.
I listened to English on a language learning app every
morning after I got up. I also repeated the sentences to
improve my pronunciation. The app helped me correct
my mistakes. What’s more, I practised speaking English
with my classmates at school. Several months later, my
English became much better, and I was not afraid of
speaking English any more.
Practice makes perfect. Now I am happy that I can
express myself well in English.

Let’s evaluate
How I improve my listening
When I was in Grade Seven, I had a problem with listening. When my teacher spoke fast, I could not catch the main idea. I felt upset and almost lost confidence. Then I decided to take action.
I tried listening to English as often as possible. I listened to short English news every morning after I got up and I repeated the key sentences aloud. I also listened to English songs and tried to sing along. What's more, I spent half an hour watching English cartoons with subtitles before going to bed. Sometimes I asked my teacher to speak more slowly. Several months later, I could understand much better.
Now I am happy that listening is no longer a big problem for me. Little by little, one goes far.
