Digital Technology in Our Daily Lives
Digital technology refers to electronic devices and the internet that help us access information, connect with others, and do many tasks quickly. It has many positive effects. First, it makes our lives easier. Second, it helps us gain knowledge. We can find the information we want to know on the internet.
However, digital technology has some negative effects. One of the problems is health. Looking at screens for too long can hurt our eyes. Another problem is socializing. Some people spend so much time online that they have less time to talk with their friends and family.
In my opinion, digital technology is helpful, but we should use it wisely. It's important to keep a balance between using technology and living a healthy life.

the art of making Jiangnan silk lanterns
82(eighty-two)以元音音素 /e/ 开头,故用 an。
5. B
考点:decision 后接不定式 to do。a brave decision to use AI 意为"使用 AI 的勇敢决定"。易错点:学生易误选 C(using),混淆 decision 与 mind / avoid 等词的搭配——decision 后固定接 to do。
6. D
考点:turn...into... 易错点:学生易误选 A(at)/C(with),未记牢 turn into 的整体搭配。
7. C
what my old hands forgot
9. D
考点:"疑问词 + 不定式"结构,how to make lanterns 意为"如何制作灯笼"。 B(what),learn what to make
10. A
11. C(disagreed)
12. A(gift)
13. B(carefully)
易错点:学生易误选 A(confidently),与后文 "couldn't believe my eyes" 不敢置信的语境不符。
14. D(dog)
后文 "A dog?"
15. A(found)
16. C(cool)
孩子觉得机器狗"太酷了",呼应 "I like it"。
17. B(touched)
18. D(amazing)
19. C(feelings)
thoughts or feelings"想法或感受"。
20. B(wonderful)
have a wonderful time 固定搭配,意为"玩得开心"。

逻辑链:a(Niepce 拍首张照片)→ d(法国人拍书房)→ f(达盖尔发明银版摄影法)→ e(人物与动体照片出现)→ b(战地照片诞生)→ c(摄影成为艺术)。
26. D
首段 "a new creation—the Emoji Kitchen" 及末段 "creativity" 提示它是一项创意数字工具。
27. C
第二段首句 "All it takes is to write 'Emoji Kitchen' in the search engine" 说明第一步是在搜索引擎输入名称。
28. A
30. D
mix emojis(混合表情、编程生成)涉及计算机技术,对应 Computer(计算机)课。

33. A
air conditioners from Gree that can work well in very high temperatures" 定位。
34. D
a robotic arm that can cut models very precisely" 定位。

Photography has a long history. In 1826, a Frenchman named Niepce needed pictures for his work. But he was not a good artist. He couldn't draw great pictures. So he invented a very simple camera. He put it in a window of his house and took a picture of his garden. That was the first photo.
The next important date in the history of photography was in 1837. That year, Daguerre, another Frenchman, took a picture of his reading room. He used a new kind of camera in a different way. In his pictures, you could see everything clearly, even the smallest thing. Later, many people knew about Daguerre's pictures. This kind of photo was called a Daguerreotype.
Soon, other people began to use Daguerre's method. Travelers brought back wonderful photos from all around the world. People took pictures of famous buildings, cities and mountains.
In about 1840, photography made a big breakthrough. Then photographers could take pictures of people and moving things. That was not simple. The photographers had to carry a lot of films and other machines. But this did not stop them, especially in the United States. After the 1840s, daguerreotype artists became popular in most cities.
Mathew Brady was a famous American photographer. He took many pictures of great people. The pictures were unusual because they were lifelike. Brady was also the first person to take pictures of wars. His 1862 Civil War pictures showed soldiers and ruined cities. They made the war seem more real and more terrible.
Photography also became one kind of art by the end of the 19th century. Some photos were not just copies of the real world. They showed feelings, like other kinds of art.

Do you like using emojis when communicating with your friends? An emoji is a picture you can use to show how you feel. One of your friends just sent you a fantastic picture of his or her new puppy, and you're in love. You want to reply with a "heart eyes" emoji. But that wouldn't express your strong feelings. This puppy is so cute that it makes you feel amazed. Now you can express your feelings with one perfect emoji. Welcome to the playful world of a new creation—the Emoji Kitchen.
What makes the Emoji Kitchen special is its ability to make new kinds of digital expressions. All it takes is to write "Emoji Kitchen" in the search engine and to choose "Get cooking". Choose two emojis from the list. Then, mix them to make your own creations, and then share them in your messages. Take inviting your friends to eat at a Mexican restaurant for example—"Sunglasses+taco" will help you a lot.

Recently, Chinese scientists introduced a tiny drone that looks just like a mosquito. This little robot can watch places secretly. Many people noticed it after it was shown on CCTV 7.
What makes this drone special? First, it looks like a real insect with flapping wings and very thin legs. Second, it is very small, so it can get into any space—from small gaps to crowded rooms—without being seen. It was mainly made for military use, but it could also help the government watch public places.
Let's talk about its details. The drone was only 1.3 cm long—about the size of a grain of rice—and could be controlled easily with a smartphone. It had leaf-shaped wings, three small legs, and flew much more quietly than bigger drones. The makers say it is very hard to see, so even careful people may not notice it. It can also fly into dangerous places that are hard for people to reach, and help look for people after earthquakes, or check the air with small sensors.
Of course, this "mosquito drone" isn't perfect. While its small size is its biggest strength, it's also a weakness. Its battery doesn't last long—maybe just a few minutes because it's so tiny. And since it can't carry heavy things, it can only use a few simple sensors or tools at a time.
All in all, this invention shows how Chinese scientists are using advanced technology to create smart tools. Maybe in the future, such small drones will be widely used in a lot of fields. The mosquito drone is a great example of how nature and technology can work together.
46. Where was the tiny mosquito drone shown?
47. What is the drone mainly designed for?
48. How could the drone be controlled?
49. What weakness does the "mosquito drone" have?
50. What do you think of the Chinese scientists who invented the "mosquito drone"? Why?
