第二部分阅读(共两节,满分50分)
第一节(共15小题;每小题2.5分,满分37.5分)
阅读下列短文,从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出最佳选项。
If you enjoy taking creative tours, here are some categories introduced on a travel blog.
Workshop Exploration
Workshop-based travel allows guests to gain first-hand knowledge of local creative methods.
Activities may include mixing raw materials under professional guidance, copying classic patterns or
completing small works on their own. When such projects start, visitors ought to follow rules set by
local creators, whose suggestions should be respected so that ancient skills can be presented in their
real forms.
Community-hosted Sessions
These experiences take place inside ordinary houses rather than public tourist sites.Travelers sit
together with local families, listening to personal stories behind each skill while trying simple creative
steps.Since no business company serves as the middleman, most money paid by guests flows straight to
family creators instead of outside dealers.
高三英语第2页(共8页)
Studio Participation
The studio visits give tourists chances to watch skilled creators produce goods with time-honored
skills that have been passed down within families. These visits are accompanied throughout by staff
specially assigned by the travel agency. These visits may involve watching potters shape containers on
spinning (tools, following wood carvers as they process solid materials into detailed decorations,
or standing at a proper distance while silk workers finish complex cloth patterns.
Market Exploration
Market-related experiences push tourists beyond simple buying behavior.Instead of only picking
out goods for souvenirs, they are encouraged to chat with sellers about production steps, compare
similar works from different creators and notice small design differences.Though travelers do not create
items themselves, they build up a fuller picture of how local creative industries operate.
21.What can we say about the travel in Workshop Exploration?
A.It's shopping-centered.
B.It's home-hosted.
C.It's practice-involved.
D.It's observation-based.
22.Which most probably requires the presence of a tour guide?
A.Market Exploration.
B.Workshop Exploration.
C.Community-hosted Sessions.
D.Studio Participation.
23.What do the four categories have in common?
A.They are sale-related.
B.They are craft-focused.
C.They need creative works.
D.They emphasize personal stories.

Having worked as an urban planner in Los Angeles for 30 years,Katherine Perez came to love
cities precisely because each is unique.
Perez runs the Los Angeles,California, office of Arup. With offices in more than 30 countries,
the firm helps cities all over the world design, plan, and build anything and everything from stadiums
to bridges to tunnels to museums. At Arup, some of the projects she oversees in Southern California
involve decarbonization, which means generating electricity while reducing the amount of harmful
greenhouse gases that are released into the atmosphere. That wasn't something urban planners focused
on at the beginning of her career.
"You will never face identical situations, since circumstances keep shifting. And concerns keep
moving in new directions, says Perez, who also teaches at the University of Southern California.
Today, urban planners also use cutting-edge tools, like virtual reality,to design cities and
visualize how a new building or public space might look. But Perez points out that one key truth
remains constant:It matters greatly to cooperate with city residents from all walks of life to make sure
the community has a say in how the city is designed.Meanwhile, urban planners should help residents
see how they can take that big idea and make it real.
Urban planners sometimes specialize in a certain aspect of city life, like housing or transportation.
They can work for private companies,as Perez does;for nonprofit organizations;or for local or state
governments. For instance, before she joined Arup,Perez was the mayor of the City of Pasadena and
the transportation manager for the City of South Pasadena.
For Perez, the most rewarding part of being an urban planner is helping improve lives with the
projects she works on."When I see a community accept something different -they get to see
regeneration and redevelopment of a dead space in their community-and they do it together with
people who have the skills to help them, that is the most exciting part,"she says.
24.What does paragraph 2 reflect about Perez?
A.She's witnessed changes in her field.B.She's stressed global office expansion.
C.She's prioritized museum construction.
D.She's ignored traditional urban planning.
高三英语第3页(共8页)
25.What does Perez think an urban planner should do?
A.Focus on personal skill sets.
B.Master modern virtual tools.
C.Document a career's evolution.
D.Work as a good communicator.
26.Which best describes Perez?
A.She's a multi-field expert.
B.She's a digital tool designer.
C.She's a full-time university teacher.
D.She's a city manager.
27.What is the author's real purpose in writing the text?
A.To advertise a global firm.
B.To introduce a profession.
C.To advocate urban innovation.
D.To praise community workers.

A recent study has found something new about three-spined sticklebacks ()
Since sticklebacks live in everything from salty seas to fresh lakes, their habitats can range from
transparently clear to heavily clouded.Nowadays, farming, mining, construction, and other human
activities are increasing turbidity (and reducing visibility in rivers and coastal waters around
the world. This can make it more difficult for water-living animals like sticklebacks to see their food,
friends,or enemies.
For this study, the team observed how three-spined sticklebacks responded to their water becoming
cloudier and noted their directions when food suddenly appeared in the water. In more turbid water, the
fish took longer to swim towards the food than those in clear water. However, individuals in larger
groups responded more quickly in both clear and cloudy water.Meanwhile, the smaller groups living in
turbid water got to the food more quickly when they swam close together in the same direction.By
contrast, swimming in tighter groups slowed the group's responses for larger groups of fish in clear
water.
"When we put an unexpected piece of food in the water,it took the fish longer to find it when the
water was cloudier. This makes sense and has been shown before in different water-living species,"
added study co-author and behavioral ecologist Christos loannou."However, sticklebacks were actually
able to make up for this challenge by changing their shoaling (behavior.Their shoals became
more closely united, with the fish moving together much more closely in poor conditions. This in turn
meant the fish were able to find the food faster than if they weren't working as a team."
This enhanced social behavior may help them surmount the challenges of living in turbid
environments and respond better when there is an opportunity to find a meal."Finding that these rules
are able to change in response to the challenges animals experience is encouraging,as it shows that
these little fish have some extra tricks for the changes that humans are causing to their homes,"Dr
Sean Rands,a study co-author,said.
28.Which aspect of the study does paragraph 2 mainly discuss?
A.Its design.
B.Its backgrounds.
C.Its findings.
D.Its process.
29.What influenced sticklebacks'response to the food?
A.The way they moved together.
B.The size of local lakes and rivers
C.The amount of food sources provided.
D.The threat they brought to their enemies.
30.How did sticklebacks surprise the researchers?
A.They lived apart in poor conditions.
B.They took longer to locate the food.
C.They adjusted their group patterns.
D.They swam tighter to slow responses.

31.What does the underlined word "surmount"in the last paragraph probably mean?
A.Show.
B.Record.
C.Predict.
D.Overcome.

In a recent study, researchers used artificial intelligence (AI)to design complete sets of genetic
instructions for bacteriophages, viruses that infect bacteria. Some of those computer-generated designs
produced working viruses when they were built and tested in the laboratory. The experiment raises an
important question:If AI becomes increasingly able to help design biological systems, are our
safeguards developing fast enough?
Genome (language models learn patterns in genetic code. This gives researchers a
powerful new way to study biology and generate possible DNA sequences ()But an AI-generated
DNA sequence is still several steps away from becoming a real biological threat.A digital design has to
be turned into physical genetic material, put together correctly and tested under the right laboratory
conditions. Each of those stages also creates an opportunity to reduce risk. One safeguard can be
integrated into the AI model itself. One of the AI models the researchers used,Evo 2,was developed
with safety restrictions. Its developers on purpose removed viruses that infect organisms such as
animals, plants and humans from the data used to train it.Their research showed that the model
performed poorly when tested on proteins from viruses that infect humans.
Another checkpoint comes when digital DNA is turned into physical DNA.Companies that produce
DNA to order can check both the requested genetic sequence and the person or organization ordering it
for potential security concerns.Laboratories and research institutions provide another layer of
protection.Potentially risky research can be assessed by them before experiments begin.
We have to face this situation. Some countries have already established systems for identifying and
responding to biological risks, while others are still developing them.We see a similar gap in vaccine
regulation(疫苗监管),where countries vary considerably in their ability to assess new products.
Biological threats can cross borders,so effective preparedness will depend on strengthening these
capabilities internationally.
32.How does the author lead into the topic?
A.By presenting a fact.
B.By defining a concept.
C.By doing an experiment.
D.By making a comparison.
33.What is a feature of the Evo 2 model?
A.It creates real biological threats.
B.It possesses built-in safety settings.
C.It trains on data from human viruses.
D.It improves protein structures greatly.
34.What is one weakness in global bio-security?
A.Vaccine products are of low quality.
B.Border control measures are weak.
C.Countries are not equally prepared.
D.No system identifies biological risks.
35.What is the best title for the text?
A.Global Rules for Biological Threats
B.New Findings of AI Genome Models
C.AI Bio-Design and Its Governance
D.Safety Limits of Al-Designed Viruses

Innovation is not just about technology or big ideas.36.When a school values innovation,
students feel free to ask questions, try new things, and learn from mistakes. So how can we build this
spirit?
Giving students more say is a good start. When they share opinions and take part in making
decisions,they feel more connected.37.
高三英语第5页(共8页)
Hands-on learning is also important.Innovation grows when students do things, not just listen.
Project-based work on real problems pushes them to think creatively and explore different paths
Innovation cannot happen without a willingness to accept failure. In many schools, making
mistakes is seen as something bad.38.When students are not afraid to be wrong, they are more
likely to take risks and come up with fresh ideas.Teachers encourage students to keep trying and treat
mistakes as learning opportunities. This helps build a classroom environment where creativity can grow.
39.When students see how math connects to art,or how science relates to history, they
begin to think in more creative ways.Schools can encourage this by designing projects that require
knowledge from different areas. This not only makes learning more interesting but also prepares
students for the teamwork they'll need in the future.
Building a culture of innovation takes time and effort from everyone-teachers,students,and
school leaders.40.When a school becomes a place where curiosity is celebrated and new ideas
are welcomed, students will surely develop the spirit of innovation.
A.Teachers play a big role here
B.But the rewards are eventually worth it
C.Learning is not just about getting the right answer
D.It is a way of thinking that can become part of school life
E.This can make them become more active and more innovative
F.Innovation in school culture means breaking down walls between subjects
G.But in an innovative culture,it is understood as part of the learning process

阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
My name is Kael. When my parents got new job offers, our whole family moved across Canada to
a quiet northern city, and I had to start my senior-year study at a new high school.Everything felt
unfamiliar.I missed my old friends and the warm community I had left behind.
On my first school day,I walked through noisy hallways alone, holding my heavy textbook tightly,
too nervous to greet anyone. Most classmates chatted happily in small groups, and no one reached out
to the quiet new boy.
Slowly,I got used to classes, but I still ate lunch by myself.I feared I would never fit in.One
afternoon, our biology teacher assigned a group project about local wildlife, which would be presented
in class one month later.Students hurried to pick partners, and before I knew it,almost all groups
were formed.Just as I prepared to talk to the teacher for special help,a girl named Maren walked
towards me.She had dark curly hair and carried a worn field notebook in her hand. She invited me to
join her group.Gladly,I accepted.
In the following weeks,Maren and I spent lots of time researching and preparing our project. We
visited city parks to take photos of wild creatures and shared our ideas freely.Bit by bit,a close
friendship grew between us.I finally felt I belonged somewhere.I thought my hard-won friendship
would last long.
Yet unexpected trouble came two weeks before our project show.Maren's family received a job
transfer notice. She'd move to another province very soon, long before our project was finished.I felt
shocked and heartbroken.Just when I was building my first true friendship in this new city,it seemed
to slip away. That afternoon after class,we stood beside the school gate under grey clouds.Maren held
our shared project notes, her eyes red.I had no idea whether our friendship could survive such a
sudden separation.

1.续写词数应为150左右;
2.请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。
Suddenly,an idea flashed through my mind.
