Unit 5 Look into the future Lesson 5 (Hit it big) I. Teaching Aims 1. To think about what life will be like in the year 2080 (what to do, wear, eat, go, live). 2. To work in groups to choose topics about future life and take notes. 3. To make a poster about 'Our life in the year 2080' using 'will' and 'There will be...'. 4. To show and tell about their poster to the class. II. Key and Difficult Points Key points: Future life vocabulary (the moon, Mars, under the sea, etc.); 'will' structure; 'There will be...' pattern. Difficult points: Using 'will' and 'There will be...' correctly in speaking and writing; organizing ideas logically for the poster and presentation. III. Teaching Procedures Step 1 Lead-in (5 mins) Show pictures of the year 2080 (flying cars, robot teachers, space hotels, etc.) on PPT. Ask: 'What do you see? Do you think this will happen?' Remind them to use 'will' in their notes. [Purpose: To develop cooperative learning skills and give students practice using target language in a low-pressure setting.] Step 4 Make a Poster (10 mins) Each group makes a poster titled 'Our life in the year 2080' (Activity 3). Show the key phrases on PPT: 'In the year 2080, people will...' / 'There will be...'. Give students blank A3 paper and colored pens. Encourage them to draw simple pictures and write sentences. Walk around and help. [Purpose: To combine language output with creativity, and to give students a tangible product to be proud of.] Step 5 Show and Tell (7 mins) Each group sends one speaker to show their poster to the class and tell about it (Activity 4). Other students listen and can ask one question. Praise good use of 'will' and 'There will be...'. [Purpose: To give students practice in public speaking and to build confidence in using English.] Step 6 Summary and Homework (3 mins) Summarize: 'Today we talked about life in 2080. We used 'will' and 'There will be...' to talk about the future. Great job!' Homework: Improve your poster at home and practice telling about it. Write 3 more sentences about 2080. VI. 教学反思 本节课学生参与度较高，小组合作制作海报环节气氛活跃，大部分学生能用 will 句型表达对未来生活的想象。但仍有部分后进生在口头展示时不敢开口，词汇量不足导致句子不完整。今后可提前准备更多句型支架卡片，展示环节增加同伴互助机制，给后进生更多准备时间。另外，海报制作时间偏紧，部分小组未完成，下次可考虑压缩前面思考环节或分两课时完成。 学科网（北京）股份有限公司 $
