四、阅读理解
Imagine you are thinking about joining a sports team, but you have questions about training. So you go to the team website to find answers. A message pops up: “How can I help?” You are not talking with a human coach, but an AI chatbot. It uses artificial intelligence to communicate with you. This sounds new, but in recent years, chatbots have become a common tool for sports clubs and training centres around the world.
Having coaches answer all players’ questions can be tiring. And coaches can only work several hours a day, making players wait longer for replies. So not only clubs, but more school sports teams have begun using chatbot technology, says Mr. Smith, who works for an education tech company.
Mr. Smith notes that saving time and cutting costs are the main reasons teams turn to this technology. However, the purpose of many teams is to find better ways to encourage players not to give up, since young players are used to chatting online.
Now the company offers many teams a chatbot which can do everything from helping players sign up for training classes to telling them how to relax after exercise. This company is not the only one working on chatbot technology. Other companies are trying similar projects. A sports university also got money to test a new chatbot. “We’re not trying to create a bot that only answers simple questions,” said the director. “We’re trying to create a chatbot that can help cheer players up and stop them from giving up easily.”
Ian Jacobs works for a market research company. He says chatbots can work well if they can finish what users ask. But problems will appear when people only want to cut costs. Teams may try using chatbots for jobs they are not ready for. For one thing, players can ask the same question in hundreds of different ways. For another, chatbots can’t deal with strong feelings. They cannot understand how players feel when they fail a race, not to speak of comforting them.
( )1.Which of the following is NOT the reason why sports teams use chatbot technology?
A. Teams want to encourage players better.
B. Chatbots help teams save money and time.
C. Players are used to communicating with chatbots.
D. Chatbots make players wait longer for replies.

A. when players want to know the training time
B. when players wonder how to sign up for the team
C. when players want to get comfort after losing a big match
D. when players want to learn ways to relax after training
( )3.The sentence “However, not everyone is ready to consider the possibilities this kind of technology brings.” would best be placed at the end of ____.
A. Paragraph 5 B. Paragraph 4 C. Paragraph 3 D. Paragraph 2
( )4.What can we infer from the passage?
A. A chatbot can do whatever users ask of it.
B. Chatbot is a completely new AI technology.
