People may want to get things done without moving a finger. The Internet of Things (IoT) is making that dream come true. The technology uses sensors (传感器) to connect devices (设备) to each other and to the Internet. It has encouraged countless products to do everyday tasks. Here are some examples:
I’m a smart fridge. I can do more than keep food cold. If you forget what you need to buy for lunch, you can check your phone to find what I have. If you have too many sugary drinks, I can warn you and suggest a piece of fruit instead.
I’m a smart wristband. I can help people with heart diseases. I can record blood pressure and heart rate. Then I send the information directly to a team of doctors so that they can deal with the problem as soon as possible.
I’m a smart helmet. I help achieve greater safety for motorbike riders. My cameras can show things around them. I can also warn them when they are riding too close to passing cars.
I’m a drone. I often fly above farmland. Farmers tell me which field to survey and how high to fly. My cameras and sensors help them learn about soil and plants. I can even spray pesticides (喷药) properly.
1. What can smart fridges do?
A. Offer health advice. B. Store more sugary drinks. C. Keep food much colder.
2. Which product can help people with heart problems?
A. A smart fridge. B. A drone. C. A smart wristband.
3. In which part of a magazine can you probably read the text?

A golden light covered the cornfields as the sun began to set. I wanted to rest, too. After saying goodbye to my friends, I walked back to the camp. Suddenly, I heard a voice behind me. “Photo, photo, photo,” said a little boy. I was tired and didn’t want to take more pictures, so I refused. But he kept following me, asking for a photo.
Finally, I had an idea. I asked the boy to stand in the cornfield and pose (摆好姿势). But when I prepared to take the picture, he became shy and scared. No matter what I said, I couldn’t get the shot. Upset, I stopped trying. The boy looked embarrassed and alone. To cheer him up, I clapped (鼓掌) and said, “That was great! You were great!” His family gathered around, clapping and cheering. The boy smiled, and I took some pictures of that happy moment.
The photo was better than I imagined because it came from the heart. I learned that when we focus on the present moment, we create something special. This experience taught me about seeing others, not just my own wants. The boy just wanted to be noticed. I saw the joy and simplicity (简单) in his life. Photography helps me connect with others and the world. It reminds me of what’s truly important.
4. Why did the writer refuse to take photos at first?
A. Because he felt very tired then.
B. Because he disliked the little boy.
C. Because the boy looked impolite.
5. What happened when the writer prepared to take the boy’s photo?
A. The boy ran away at once.
B. The boy’s family stopped them.
C. The boy felt shy and scared.
6. How did the writer cheer the boy up?
A. He gave the boy some gifts.
B. He told him some interesting stories.
C. He clapped for him and encouraged him.
7. What can we learn from the passage?
A. Taking photos makes people wealthy quickly.
B. Paying attention to others brings special beauty.
C. We should only care about our own feelings.
【答案】4. A 5. C 6. C 7. B

Xu Beihong was a pioneer of 20th century Chinese art, well known for his traditional ink-and-wash paintings of horses and birds. He was one of the first Chinese artists to explore the techniques (技巧) of oil paintings.
Born in 1895 in Yixing, Jiangsu, Xu Beihong showed a strong interest in arts since childhood. He began studying the Chinese Classics from his father when he was six. Xu spent much time helping out on his family’s farm. He would paint what he noticed in nature. In 1912, his father fell ill. Xu became the breadwinner of the family and began teaching arts in all kinds of schools. In 1917, he began to teach at Peking University at the invitation of Cai Yuanpei.
Beginning in 1919, Xu studied oil painting and drawing in Paris. His travels around Europe allowed him to explore Western art techniques. He studied the bone structure (骨架) and movement of horses. Such knowledge is clear in his works. But his excellent ink brushwork truly brought his horses to life. Through his art, Xu gave the world a new way of understanding horses, celebrating their beauty, strength and spirit.
In 1923, Xu’s oil painting was shown at the French National Art Exhibition (展览). Later, he received invitations from many European cities to hold exhibitions internationally.
After returning home in 1927, Xu took an active part in art education. He focused on developing creativity with students. He also encouraged his students to learn from foreign artworks. “There is no other way to learn art, but to keep practising,” Xu once said.
In 1933, Xu organized an exhibition of modern Chinese painting in Paris. It drew in lots of attention and was then moved to Belgium, Milan, Moscow, and other places. Between 1939 and 1941, Xu travelled to Southeast Asia, holding exhibitions in Singapore and India. All the money from these exhibitions went to Chinese people who were suffering because of the war.
8. Which of the following shows the correct order of Xu’s life experiences?
a. Xu began exploring Western art techniques.
b. Xu got his oil painting shown internationally.
c. Xu began teaching arts to support his family.
d. Xu was invited to teach at Peking University.

【导语】本文是记叙文,介绍了20世纪中国艺术先驱徐悲鸿的生平经历、艺术成就与艺术教育理念,以及他通过办画展支援战时同胞的爱国行为。
【8题详解】
根据文章时间线梳理事件:e(幼时跟随父亲学习中国典籍相关艺术)→c(1912年父亲生病后教艺术养家)→d(1917年受蔡元培邀请到北大任教)→a(1919年起赴欧洲学习探索西方艺术技巧)→b(1923年起油画在国际展出),对应顺序为ecdab。
【9题详解】
结合文中“He studied the bone structure (骨架) and movement of horses. Such knowledge is clear in his works. But his excellent ink brushwork truly brought his horses to life.”提到徐悲鸿研究马的骨架与动态后,相关知识在他的作品中有所体现,结合他以画马闻名的背景,可知他研究马的相关特征是为了更好地创作马主题的艺术作品,而非帮助马生长或训练马。
【10题详解】
结合文中“There is no other way to learn art, but to keep practising,”徐悲鸿明确提出“学习艺术没有别的方法,只有不断练习”,对应“熟能生巧”的内涵,与目标促人前进、自信是成功关键的表述无关。

Libraries around the world still keep old books hundreds of years old. But will we be able to read today’s digital (数字的) books in hundreds of years? Librarians are worried. Even now, we can’t open some files (文件) from 20 or 25 years ago. Will our digital works be lost in a digital black hole? Will we face the loss of valuable information?
Technology is changing fast. Old ways of keeping information are gone now, or they are no longer supported by new technology. For example, many people used floppy discs (软盘) to save files years ago, but today few machines can open them. Also, millions of songs and music pieces were saved on tapes or CDs, but now most old music players no longer work. Another problem is that websites often change or close down, and all the information on them can fall into the digital black hole.
Books, however, are quite easy to keep. We don’t need special tools or technology to read them. If you keep them in a dry and safe place, they will stay safe for a long time. Li Shizhen’s great medical book Ben Cao Gang Mu came out in 1593. Amazingly, three copies from the first printing still survive today. That’s not bad for a book more than 400 years old.
Today, to some researchers, printed books remain a safe way to keep information. In 2014, a professional group began to raise money to print a famous online encyclopedia into 1,000 books. This would make sure that even if digital technology fails, the knowledge can still be kept.
For now, when it comes to storing information, printed copies seem to be the safest choice. However, future technology might develop and provide new ways to solve the problem of the digital black hole. Time will tell.
12. What happens if our digital works fall into a digital black hole?
A. They cannot be understood.
B. They cannot be read or reached.
C. They are saved in a wrong place.
13. What is Paragraph 2 mainly about?
A. How music players are developing.
B. How technology is changing over time.
C. Why technology may cause information loss.
14. Why does the writer mention Ben Cao Gang Mu?
A. To discuss why this book is still important.
B. To show printed books can last for a long time.
C. To explain how easy it is to keep printed books.
15. What would the writer most probably agree with?
A. Technology is still looking for better ways to keep information.
B. Digital books are less valuable than printed ones.
C. Technology will soon solve the problem of the digital black hole.
【答案】12. B 13. C 14. B 15. A
【解析】
【导语】本文讲述数字信息存在 “数字黑洞” 风险,旧资料难以读取,纸质书可长久保存,是当下最安全存储方式,未来或有新技术方案。
【12题详解】
第一段提到“Will our digital works be lost in a digital black hole? Will we face the loss of valuable information?”以及第二段提到“all the information on them can fall into the digital black hole”,可以推断出数字作品一旦掉入“数字黑洞”,就意味着无法读取或获取。
第三段提到《本草纲目》1593年首次印刷,至今仍有三部保存下来,结合第四段提到“Today, to some researchers, printed books remain a safe way to keep information.”可知,此处提到《本草纲目》是为了说明纸质书籍可以保存很长时间。
【15题详解】
最后一段提到“future technology might develop and provide new ways to solve the problem of the digital black hole. Time will tell.”说明作者认为未来技术可能提供新的解决方法。

In the northern dark sea, there is a fish, known as Kun (北冥有鱼,其名为鲲). Have you ever imagined the scene from an ancient tale by Zhuangzi? Recently, a natural wonder at the Yellow River Delta in Shandong brings this famous line to life.
On December 7, 2025, something wonderful happened. More than 240,000 Baikal teals (花脸鸭) gathered in the sky. Against the golden sunset, they flew together in a huge, ever changing group, sometimes like a huge whale, sometimes like a great bird spreading its wings. Seeing the scene, people were amazed and called it the real “Kunpeng” from Zhuangzi’s tale. Soon, the topic “Kunpeng in the northern sea is real” spread widely online.
This amazing event is known as a “bird wave”. It is not magic, but a smart skill. Scientists say birds fly in such large groups mainly to save energy during long journeys and stay safe from enemies. By flying together, they help each other move more easily through the air.
The appearance of the bird wave is also a sign of successful environmental protection. The Yellow River Delta Wetland was once poor land, but after years of people’s efforts like adding water and turning farmland back into wetland, it has now become an important home and rest stop for millions of migratory birds (候鸟).
To protect the birds, the local government advises visitors to keep at least 100 meters away, avoid using drones (无人机) nearby and never feed the birds. While enjoying the beauty of nature, we should always keep in mind that ___________!

A. Offer health advice. B. Store more sugary drinks. C. Keep food much colder.
2. Which product can help people with heart problems?
A. A smart fridge. B. A drone. C. A smart wristband.

B. Paying attention to others brings special beauty.
C. We should only care about our own feelings.
