Passage 1(课内同源:成长的烦恼与收获·演讲)
Good morning, everyone. Today I want to talk about my growing pains and gains.
As a Grade Eight student, I have many worries. My biggest worry is the pressure from exams. I often worry that I can’t get good grades and let my parents down. There was a time when I felt very lonely because I thought nobody understood me.
But things changed when I began to talk about my feelings. My best friend listened to me and encouraged me to face my problems bravely. My mum told me that the process of trying is more important than the result. With their help, I learnt to adjust myself.
Now I feel much more relaxed and confident. That is my biggest gain. I have learnt that growing pains are not terrible. They are just a part of growing up, and they can help us become stronger.
Thank you for listening.

任务四范文:As a Grade Eight student, I have both growing pains and gains. My biggest pain is the pressure from my study. Last term, I did badly in the maths exam, and I felt very lonely because I thought nobody understood me. I didn’t want to talk to anyone, and I often felt low. But my best friend noticed it. She listened to me patiently and encouraged me to face my problem bravely. My parents also told me that the process of trying is more important than the result. With their help, I learnt to adjust myself. I made a plan and worked on my weak points every day. This term, I have made great progress and I feel much more confident. Now I understand that growing pains are not terrible. They are just a part of growing up. If we look at them in the right way, we can turn worries into wisdom.
