A
2050: What Will Happen to You?
Our world is changing quickly because technology (技术) is developing fast. What changes will we see by 2050? Let’s read!
▲
Scientists are finding new ways to help people live longer and healthier lives. They study how to slow down “getting old” and even grow new body parts with special small cells (tiny parts in our bodies). By 2050, humans may live much longer than today!
Smarter AI
AI (Artificial Intelligence, a kind of smart computer) may be as smart as humans—or smarter! It can learn by itself and help in many areas, like science and school. Maybe one day, an AI teacher can make special lessons just for you (fit your needs well)!
Smart Cities
Future cities will be very smart. AI can help control traffic: roads will be safer and less crowded. We will use green energy (like wind) instead of old energy (like coal). This makes cities good for the Earth. There will be more green parks, and pollution (污染) will be much lower!
Space Travel
In the future, everyone may have a chance to travel to spaces! Scientists are making special space homes and new ways to grow food. Maybe someday, we can build homes on Mars (a planet like Earth)!
These new technologies will bring many cool things that seem “not possible” today. But we must use them in a good and safe way. Most importantly: Technology should help people, not take over our lives!
21. Which of the following can be put in“▲”?
A. New studies B. Healthier future
C. Amazing technologies D. Modern hospitals
22. According to the text, the future AI teachers might _______.
A. offer more online classes B. focus more on homework checking
C. make special lessons based on students’ needs D. teach students to create their own lessons
23. What can we see in the future cities?
A. More people and more pollution. B. Taller buildings and busier roads.
C. Safer roads and less pollution. D. More factories and fewer green parks.
24. What can we learn from the “Space travel” part?
A. Space travel is better suited for adults.
B. It’s easy to build homes on other planets now.
C. Few believe we can travel to space in the future.
D. Scientists are trying to help humans live in space.
25. What does the writer want to tell us about new technologies?
A. We should use AI more often. B. They are too dangerous to use.
C. Most people aren’t ready for them. D. It’s important to use them the right way.

Jerry’s Diary
Dear Diary,
Guess where I am? I’m in China’s Tiangong Space Station, about 400 kilometers above Earth! I share my small room with three other mice. And there are six Chinese astronauts taking turns to take care of us.
The trip to the space station was very successful and took just a little over three hours. This is China’s 16th manned spaceflight, so humans are old hands here. But for us mice, it’s all new! We’re proud to be the first mammals (哺乳动物) to fly with Chinese astronauts.
Getting here wasn’t easy. We were chosen from 300 mice after more than 60 days of hard training. The tests were really difficult! In one of the tests, we were put on a spinning rod (旋转杆). When it spun faster, I should hold on with my front paws (爪) and keep my back legs moving because I didn’t want to fall. My paws were on fire, but I held on for 115 seconds! In another test, the mice should go into a small box. It spun fast in every direction-first for 30 seconds, then one minute, then two minutes. When I came out, everything was spinning. But I had to walk on a balance beam (平衡木) right away. Luckily, I never fell! Not bad for a little mouse, was it?
We’ll stay in Tiangong for only about a week before flying back to Earth. Scientists will then study how our bodies change. This will help them better understand the effects of space environments.
Can’t wait for more exciting adventures in space! See you tomorrow!
26. Who is Jerry in the text?
A. A mouse in space. B. A training teacher. C. A scientist on Earth. D. A Chinese astronaut.
27. How long did the trip to the space station take?
A. Around 16 days. B. About 400 minutes. C. More than 6 months. D. A little over 3 hours.
28. Why was Jerry chosen for the space trip?
A. Because his paws were strong. B. Because he was a flying mammal.
C. Because he passed the hard training. D. Because he was an old hand in space.
29. What did the mouse need to do during the spinning rod test?
A. Walk on a balance beam. B. Hold on and try not to fall.
C. Spin quickly in all directions. D. Keep their front paws moving.
30. What is the main purpose (目的) of the mice’s space trip?
A. To experience exciting adventures. B. To live with the astronauts in space.
C. To help scientists study space’s effects. D. To show mice’s wonderful training results.

五、语法填空(本大题共10小题,每小题1分,共10分)
Can you imagine 46 (astronauts) everyday life in space? They also need 47 (eat), sleep, exercise and relax. They do 48 same things as us, but they do them differently.
On earth, we put food on a plate and water in a glass. Gravity 49 (hold) the food down and keeps the water in the glass, but there is much 50 (weak) gravity in space. So food can float away and astronauts must eat and drink 51 (careful).
Sleeping is very different in space. Some astronauts like to float in the air, but most like to be in a 52 (sleep) bag. They tie the bag 53 a wall so that they won’t float away at night.
It is very important to exercise in space. On the Earth, your legs carry your body, but in space, astronauts float. So they do not use 54 (they) legs often. This is very bad for them, 55 they must exercise for about thirty minutes every day.

China is making big steps in manned moon exploration. On August 31, 2025, the office of China’s Manned Space Engineering said the moon landing trip started. All work is moving forward quickly.
The trip will use new technology, like advanced transport systems and efficient robots. These robots will do challenging tasks, such as collecting moon rocks and doing research.
Scientists say the robots have high quality and can work well in outer space. They won’t replace human pilots, but they will help keep the pilots safe. The trip also has a positive influence on education: many students now show interest in science and want to be researchers or experts in space science.
China plans to land Chinese people on the moon by 2030. They will do science checks and test related technologies. 【
根据“In the future”及主语“Zhou Kai”是单数,可知用一般将来时is going to,侧重预先计划、打算,符合“打算努力学习”的语义。are going to搭配复数主语,will go多用来表临时决定/主观意愿,went是过去式,主谓不一致或时态不符。
18. 句意:在未来,周凯打算努力学习、多做运动,让自己的梦想成真。

Learn science.
Knowledge is important as well. Astronauts take 60 lessons to get ready for a mission, including Maths, English, spaceship design, physics and many more. 39
Do you know?
Even if you are great enough to become a backup (备用的) astronaut, 40 . During the Shenzhou XIII mission, only three astronauts can go into space. But there are another 13 backup astronauts. They can’t go. They are the unsung heroes of the space programme.
A. They also need to do scientific experiments about space.
B. You will start training when you become a backup astronaut.
C. Health is important.
D. How do Chinese astronauts make it?
E. it is possible that you will never go to space.
F. Why do they go there?

When the trip is a success, China will share the valuable information with other countries. This will help build good relationships between countries.
