So far,China has successfully sent a large number of satellites and spaceships into space.Space scientists have been greatly inspired by the old stories and ancient famous people when giving them names.
Since thousands of years ago,.Chang'e Flying to the Moon is one of the most popular stories. As you can see, China's first man-made satellite to circle around the moon was named Chang'e-. More interestingly, the moon rover was named after the Jade Rabbit, who is the partner of Chang'e in the story. These old stories carry people's best wishes and dreams. With the development of science and technology, our scientists have made them come true.
Kua Fu Runs After the Sun is another story to show how much ancient Chinese people wanted to know about the unknown world. Now, Kua Fu is going with the scientists to “visit” the sun, because we have a space project called Kua Fu Mission.
Besides the ancient stories, space scientists also get ideas from ancient famous people. For example, Mozi, an ancient scientist, discovered that light travels in a straight line over years ago. His discovery made space study take a big step at that time. So, China's first quantum(量子)science satellite was named Mozi, making China the first country in the world to achieve quantum communication between satellites and the ground.
From such simple things as giving names to the satellites, we can see how great our traditional culture is and what influence it has on our modern science and technology.

A. B. C.
7.Which sentence can be put in“” in Paragraph 2?
A. Chinese people have landed on the moon
B. Chinese people have dreamed of going to the moon

8.What do we know about Chang'e-1 according to the passage?
A. It moves around the moon.
B. It“visits”the sun with the scientists.
C. It is the world's first man-made satellite.
9.How does the writer support his opinion in Paragraph 4?
A. By listing numbers. B. By comparing facts.
C. By giving an example.
10.What's the writer's main purpose of writing the passage?
A. To spread the traditional Chinese culture.
B. To introduce the achievements in our science and technology.
C. To tell how traditional Chinese culture influences our space science.

According to Ken Croswell, the sun shines all the time. It shines during the day when we see it, and even at night when we don't.
As Earth turns, sometimes we face the sun. That's when we get day. When Earth's spin (自转) turns us away from the sun and we are in Earth's shadow, we get night. When people on the opposite side of Earth face the sun, those people have day while we have night.
The moon is a different story. Unlike the sun, it doesn't make its own light. Moonlight is actually the sun's light reflecting(反射) off the moon back to us.
The sun lights up only the side of the moon that faces the sun. At Full Moon, the moon is on the opposite side of Earth from the sun. Then the side of the moon facing Earth is all lit up. During Full Moon, the moon rises around sunset, shines all night, and sets around sunrise. Since the moonlight is so bright, you can sometimes see it during the day too. A few days before Full Moon, if you look east in the afternoon, you may see the moon in the sky. After Full Moon, you may find it if you look west in the morning.
The moon is most difficult to see at New Moon, when its orbit(轨道) puts it between Earth and the sun. Then, the side of the moon facing Earth is dark and we can't see the moon at all.
11.What can we know about the sun?
A. The sun shines everywhere on Earth at the same time.
B. The sun shines during both day and night.
C. The sun lights up all the sides of the moon.
12.Which of the following best explains the underlined word“shadow” in Paragraph 2?
A. The shape of Earth. B. The force from the sun.
C. The dark area on Earth.
13.What does Paragraph 4 mainly talk about?
A. How the moon makes its light.
B. What the difference is between Full Moon and New Moon.
C. Why the moon can be seen during the day.
14.Which of the following pictures shows us New Moon?
A.
B.
C.
15.Where can we most probably read the passage?
A. In a guidebook. B. In a science magazine.
C. In a storybook.
D

五、任务型阅读(5小题,共10分)
In 1876, Alexander Graham Bell made a great invention—the telephone. For the first time in history, people could talk to someone far away just like they were in the same room. But today, phones can do much more than just make calls!
The story of mobile phones began with two-way radios. These early devices(设备) had a big problem—they only worked when people were close to each other. In the 1940s, smart scientists found a way. They built tall radio towers across the country to pass signals(信号) easily.
Everything changed in 1973 when Dr. Martin Cooper made the first real mobile phone call. During the 1980s, mobile phones became smaller but were still very expensive. Only rich business people could afford them, and the phones looked like big plastic bricks.
The 1990s brought another big change. Phones became cheaper and smaller, fitting easily in pockets. Soon, almost everyone had one. Text messaging became popular. People started writing short messages instead of making phone calls. Meeting time became more flexible(灵活的) because you could just text“I'll be 15 minutes late.”
Now we have smartphones—like powerful mini-computers in our pockets. We use them to take photos, watch videos, play games, and even help with housework! Messaging apps let us send videos and long messages easily. While phones help us stay connected, some people worry that we spend too much time on them.
Looking back, it's amazing how phones have changed. From Bell's simple telephone to today's smartphones, this has truly changed our lives. What will phones be able to do next? Only time will tell!
46.When did Alexander Graham Bell invent the telephone?
47.Why did scientists build tall radio towers in the 1940s?
48.Who made the first real mobile phone call?
49.How can smartphones help us in our lives?(请给出两个例子)
50.What do you think the future phones might be like?(请自拟一句话作答)

六、范文
Dear David,
How are you doing? I'm writing to share an unforgettable activity with you. In order to make us interested in space, my school held an activity named School Space Day in the school hall on April.
First, we attended a talk given by a wellknown space expert at 10 a.m. During the talk, we had a deep understanding of the secrets of space. Then, we visited a space exhibition at 2 p.m. There, we saw some spacesuits at close quarters and learned about the history of human space exploration by watching some videos. One of my favourite parts was taking part in the water rocket launch contest at 4 p.m. What made it special was that it enabled us to express our creativity.
The activity not only taught us about the mysteries of space and opened our eyes, but also brought science to life. Looking forward to hearing about your recent interesting activities as well.
Yours,
Li Hui
