三、阅读理解(本大题共15小题,每小题2分,共30分)
请阅读 A、B 两篇短文,从每小题所给的四个选项中选出能回答所提问题或完成所给句子的最佳答案。
A
Amazing Space
“Curiosity”, NASA’s Mars rover, took the world by surprise again. It took a picture of a small “coral” while it was exploring the surface of Mars.
Clearly, it’s not an actual coral. But it could be a rock that had been created along time ago. Back then, the Red Planet possibly had water on its surface.
The effort of the rover could help answer the question of whether life ever was on Mars and understand when Mars might have been most suitable to host life. Scientists are feeling excited about these findings because they provide information about the planet’s past environment.
Saturn’s(土星) amazing rings, which are mainly made of ice and rocks, won’t last forever. Scientists say that they are slowly breaking apart and will totally disappear in about 100 million years. They say the rings now may be 10—100 million years old. According to a popular American magazine, 10 tons of “ring matter” fall into Saturn every second. They all get pulled by Saturn’s gravity(重力). Studying these rings helps scientists learn how the planet forms and changes over time. It reminds us that even amazing things in space don’t last forever.
Jupiter(木星), Uranus(天王星) and Neptune(海王星) also have ring systems. Saturn has the largest rings. Though the others’ rings aren’t as easy to see, they may have had bigger rings in the past.
( )21. What can we know about the small “coral”?
A.It could be a real coral.
B. It is a “coral-like” plant.
C. It helps us better understand Mars.
D. It proves there was life on Mars.
( )22. (新考法·写作手法) How does the writer present the result of the disappearance of Saturn’s rings?
A. By listing numbers. B. By telling stories. C. By giving examples. D. By making comparisons.
( )23. Which planet has the largest ring system?
A. Jupiter. B. Uranus. C. Neptune. D. Saturn.
( )24. How many planets are mentioned in the passage?
A. Three. B. Four. C. Five. D. Six.
( )25. What is the main purpose of the passage?
A.To compare Mars with Saturn.
B. To show some discoveries of space.
C. To introduce the changes of the two planets.
D. To encourage us to protect our home planet.

On the afternoon of November 14th, 2025, the three astronauts of the Shenzhou-20 spaceship — Chen Dong, Chen Zhongrui, and Wang Jie — safely landed at the Dongfeng landing site. They returned aboard the Shenzhou-21 spaceship, successfully completing their 204-day mission in space.
At first, the astronauts’ return was scheduled for November 5th. However, they had to wait nine days longer because a piece of space debris(碎片) hit the spaceship and made a small crack(裂痕) in one of Shenzhou-20’s windows.
This emergency started China’s space rescue plan. Instead of taking the risk of coming back in the destroyed spaceship, the crew(乘务组) moved to Shenzhou-21. This was the first time in China’s space history that a different working spaceship was used to bring astronauts back to earth. During the extra days in orbit(轨道), the Shenzhou-20 crew continued to work with the Shenzhou-21 astronauts, carrying out valuable scientific experiments together.
Throughout their long mission, the Shenzhou-20 team completed many important tasks. They performed four spacewalks, moved cargo(货物) many times, and did a series of scientific experiments. One successful experiment involved heating a special metal called tungsten alloy (钨合金) to an extremely high temperature of C.
This smooth and safe return shows the strength and trust of China’s space program. The well-prepared repair plan was carried out effectively. The ground team worked together to finish the mission perfectly, and the clever spacecraft responded well. After landing, all astronauts were in good health. The mission marks another great achievement for China in space exploration.
( )26. What does the underlined word “scheduled” mean in Paragraph 2?
A. Left. B. Created. C. Designed. D. Planned.
( )27. Why was the Shenzhou-20 crew’s return put off?
A.The landing site was in bad condition.
B. The Shenzhou-21 spaceship was not ready.
C. The crew needed to finish more experiments.
D. A small crack appeared on Shenzhou-20’s window.
( )28. How did the Shenzhou-20 crew solve the problem of the late return?
A.They repaired the small crack on the window.
B. They waited until the whole window was replaced.
C. They moved to the Shenzhou-21 for the return journey.
D. They made their mission shorter and returned at once.
( )29. (新考法·文章结构) Which of the following best shows the structure of the passage?
A.Introduction→Problem→Solution→Achievements→Result
B. Problem→Introduction→Solution→Achievements→Result
C. Introduction→Solution→Problem→Achievements→Result
D. Achievements→Introduction→Problem→Solution→Result
( )30. What is the best title for the passage?
A.The Dangers of Space Debris to Shenzhou-20 Spaceship
B. The Reasons for the Late Return of Shenzhou-20 Crew
C. The Scientific Experiments Done by Shenzhou-20 Crew in Space
D. The Safe Emergency Return of Shenzhou-20 Astronauts

五、读写综合(本大题分为 A、B 两部分, 共 25 分)
A. 回答问题(本题共5小题,每小题2分,共10分)
请阅读下面短文,根据所提供的信息,回答五个问题。要求所写答案语法正确、信息完整切题。
On June 17, 2025, China carried out a successful zero-altitude escape(零高度逃逸) flight test of its new Mengzhou manned spaceship in Northwest China. It’s the first test of this kind in 27 years.
At 12:30 p. m., the order to start the engines was given, and the escape engine of the Mengzhou spaceship worked well. The spaceship and its escape tower took off with the help of solid-fuel(固体燃料) engines. About 20 seconds later, they reached the planned height. Then the return capsule(舱) separated from the escape tower. The parachute(降落伞) opened easily. At 12:32 p. m., the capsule landed safely in the test area with the help of an airbag system.
China’s last test like this was in 1998 for the Shenzhou manned spaceship. The Mengzhou spaceship is a new type of manned spaceship made by China for future space tasks. Different from the Shenzhou system, where the rocket was for escape and the spaceship was for rescue, the Mengzhou can do both jobs on its own.
The Mengzhou can carry up to seven astronauts and meets high international standards. In the future, the spaceship will be used for China’s space station and moon exploration tasks. The successful test is important because it provides an important technical base for the next steps of the moon exploration plan.
1. Where was the zero-altitude escape flight test of the Mengzhou manned spaceship carried out?

1. How long did it take the spaceship and the escape tower to reach the planned height?

Dear Tom,
This morning at 9 o'clock, I went on an enjoyable trip to the City Museum with my classmates. We visited the exhibition on the theme of "China's Space Achievements" there. I can't wait to share this memorable experience with you!
First, we watched exciting videos about making and launching rockets, which allowed us to understand China's space exploration more deeply. Then came the amazing part — experiencing funny spacewalks in almost zero gravity.
Amazed by the excellent achievement, I decide to learn more about space knowledge. I hope one day I can make contributions to our country like those great astronauts and scientists.
Looking forward to your reply.
Yours sincerely,
Li Ming
