四、阅读理解
Last month, a group of Senior One students at Sunshine High School carried out a survey among 500 teenagers. The question was simple: what do you do after school? The answers were more surprising than the students had expected, and they say a lot about teenage life today.
Sports and school clubs came first. Nearly forty percent of the students said they played ball games or took part in club activities at least three times a week. “Playing basketball helps me forget my worries and make new friends,” one boy wrote. For these students, after-school hours are a time to relax and grow.
However, about a quarter of the students spent more than three hours a day on short videos and games. Many of them said they felt tired the next morning, and some found it hard to keep up with their lessons. A girl admitted that her marks had dropped because she was addicted to her phone.
Ms Lin, the school’s psychology teacher, was not surprised. “Free time is not free,” she said. “What you choose to do after school slowly shapes who you become.” She advised students to make a simple weekly plan and to leave some time for sleep, exercise and family.
The survey ends with a clear message. A meaningful teenage life is not about being busy all the time; it is about choosing activities that really matter. Whether you join a club, read a book or help your parents, the key is to use your time wisely.

五、阅读七选五
Senior high school is more than lessons and exams. It is also a time when you learn who you are and what you care about. 31 Here are a few ideas that can help you make these three years truly meaningful.
First, find something you are good at and keep doing it. It may be singing, playing basketball or writing stories. 32 When you practise it again and again, you not only improve your skill but also build confidence.
Second, be kind to the people around you. A kind word or a helping hand costs little, but it can mean a lot. 33 Helping others is one of the fastest ways to make yourself happy.
Third, do not be afraid of failure. You may lose a match, fail a test or quarrel with a friend. 34 Each failure teaches you something that success never can, and it makes you stronger.
Finally, take care of yourself. Eat well, sleep enough and give yourself time to relax. 35 A healthy body and a peaceful mind are the best friends you can have on the way to your dreams.
A.Failing does not mean that you are a loser.
B.A meaningful life is built on small but useful habits.
C.You can also lend a hand when a classmate is in trouble.
D.Try to spend every minute on your textbooks.
E.But how can you make the best use of this short time?
F.Choose one and give it a little time every day.
G.Nobody can remember your mistakes forever.
