【答案】B
【解析】
【详解】句意:——你知道他是否会接受这个工作吗?——除非他得到更高的薪水,我确定他不会。
考查时态和动词辨析。receive收到;accept接受。根据“Do you know if he … the job offer?”

Pocket money means that you have money in your pocket (口袋) that you can spend. You may get a regular amount of money from your parents or grandparents, for example, every week or once a month.
How much pocket money should you get? That depends on what your parents or grandparents can afford, how many kids there are in your family and how old you are. A little primary school kid may get one yuan, but older children would get more. Each family is different.
Many parents or grandparents give kids pocket money so that their kids can:
★use the money to buy things that they want.
★learn to find out how much things cost.
★learn to look after money well.
★learn to shop around for the best price.
★ learn to save their pocket money for the future.
★ learn what is worth (值得) buying.
It is difficult to handle money. If you spend all of your money too quickly, you will not be able to buy the necessary things that you will need in the future life. If you always save money, you will not get many nice things that you really like. Try to use your pocket money in the right way and you will always get something good.

At the age of 17 years and 64 days, Mack Rutherford has become the youngest person to fly around the world alone! Mack’s journey around the world lasted five months and he flew across 52 countries in total. His record-breaking flight began in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, on 23 March, 2022. He was 16 years old when he took off and celebrated his 17th birthday by himself in his plane.
Mack faced many challenges during his adventure. Because of his small-sized aircraft, he had to land whenever the weather got too terrible. However, at some points he couldn’t land, such as when flying non-stop for 10 hours over an ocean. At other points, he faced extremely hot weather, such as in Dubai. In Sudan, a country in Africa, Mack also faced sandstorms which made it hard for him to see where he was going. Mack battled strong winds and pouring rain during his flight, but he never stopped smiling, joking and updating his followers on his social media account along the way, and managed to fly his plane to safety.
And if Mack’s surname “Rutherford” sounds familiar, it’s because his elder sister Zara also flew around the world earlier this year, and still holds the female version of the record! The Rutherford siblings (兄弟姐妹) were inspired by their parents to become pilots. “I have known for certain I wanted to fly since I was eleven,” Mack said, “My dad Sam is a professional ferry pilot, my mum Beatrice is a recreational private pilot.”
Mack hopes to inspire young people to begin working towards their own goals. “No matter what background you have, I believe it is never too early to work towards your dreams and you shouldn’t limit yourself by others’ expectations.” With both feet firmly back on the ground now, it’s time for Mack to turn his attention towards catching up on his schoolwork!

【44题详解】
上文B询问“But how?”(但是怎么做?),下文A给出了具体的记录步骤。选项C“First, make a list of your wishes.”(首先,列出你的愿望清单)中的First与下文的步骤衔接紧密,是具体的建议第一步。
【45题详解】
对话结尾,B表示“我会试一试”,说明接受了A的建议。在此之前应表示感谢,选项D“谢谢你的建议”符合礼貌原则和对话逻辑。

Do you like sharing your feelings and stories with others? Well, flight attendant (乘务员) John McKay came up with a heartwarming idea. He brings a notebook on his flights for passengers to write in. Everyone can express themselves in the notebook. Some give advice, some share their trips, and some tell jokes…
Ten years ago, John went through a hard time. He gave up his teaching job to take care of his mum after she got ill. Later, he started a foundation (基金会) to help people like his mother. This led him to fly across the country to raise money. Then he made friends with a pilot. Because of the pilot’s advice, John got a job as a flight attendant. He loves the job because it lets him meet many different people.
The idea for the notebook came to him because of a passenger. This passenger travelled a lot and did something similar on the Internet. It turned out that John’s idea was very welcome. Some passengers even said it was like “medicine” to them.
John’s company heard about his kind act. The company was for it. After that, other flight attendants started to do the same thing. They all wanted to make a big difference through small acts of kindness.

31. Usually kids can get their pocket money from their _____.
A. parents B. friends

All the videos and photos are kept in an online digital museum. Anyone can visit it for free. The volunteers hope teenagers will look back on their local culture and feel proud of their hometown.
So far, they have collected over 200 stories. However, they still face difficulties. Some elders are too old to remember full stories. The volunteers spend lots of time chatting patiently to get complete information.
