Scientists have developed a way to read minds, translating (翻译) thoughts into words. They use a computer system called AI. It’s able to think for itself and it’s like a human.
In the experiment, scientists used a special scanner (扫描器) to show the most active parts of the brain. People listened to the radio for 16 hours when their brains were scanned. The AI tool learned to connect certain brain activity with words they heard. After that, each person thought of a story, and the AI tool could write down these thoughts as they happened.
The results had about a 50% accuracy rate (准确率). It could usually understand people’s ideas, but it couldn’t give out the exact meanings. For example, when a person was thinking “I haven’t had dinner yet.”, the AI could write “He is very hungry now.”
The scientists worry about the risks of using the AI. Scientist Jerry told a newspaper, “We want to make sure people only use these types of technologies in the right way, and that it helps them.” The scientists hope it will help people who can’t speak to communicate again. But as for treating the illnesses, the AI still has a long way to go.
26. According to paragraph 1, what can the AI do?
A. Translate books. B. Read minds. C. Use computers. D. Become humans.
27. What is the main purpose of paragraph 2?
A. To show how the experiment worked.
B. To show the results of the experiment.
C. To offer opinions about the experiment.
D. To list the problems of the experiment.

C. AI can help treat people with medical problems.
D. People who can’t speak can use the AI to help.
30. What can be the best title for the text?
