It takes (sb) some time to do sth.　 例：It took us two hours to get to the town by bus ten years ago.（十年前我们坐公交车到镇上要花两个小时。） 4. be covered with　 例：The farmland was covered with sand, but now it is green.（耕地过去覆盖着沙子，现在一片碧绿。） 四、易错提醒 1. take place 意为“发生；举行”，是不及物动词短语，没有被动语态；说变化发生时常用现在完成时，常与 over the past / in the past few years 连用。 2. there used to be 是 there be 与 used to 的结合，表示“过去有”；它的否定式为 there used not to be 或 there didn’t use to be，一般疑问句常写 Did there use to be…?。 3. lack 既可作名词也可作动词：作名词时用 a lack of sth.，作动词时直接跟宾语，如 lack water，不能写成 lack of water。 4. It takes some time to do sth. 中 it 是形式主语，真正的主语是后面的动词不定式；注意 take 随句子时态变化，如 It took three hours to…。 五、练习检测 建议用时 15 分钟。先合上笔记独立完成，再对照文末参考答案，把出错的单词和短语在笔记上标出来，当天再读三遍。 一、根据句意及汉语提示写单词 每空只填一个单词。 1.
