二、阅读理解
The Lunch Box Challenge
For one week, Class 7B tried to produce as little lunchtime rubbish as possible. Their teacher did not ask everyone to buy new lunch boxes. Instead, the class first watched what they usually threw away: plastic spoons, drink bottles, paper bags and unfinished food.
Each group chose one problem. One group brought reusable spoons; another made reminder cards saying ‘Take only what you can finish’. Mina’s group found that some students bought bottled water because the school taps were hard to find. They drew a simple map showing every drinking-water point and put it near the dining hall.
By Friday, the class had reduced its lunchtime rubbish by almost half. However, the students also noticed a difficulty: reusable things must be washed, and not everyone remembered to take them home. The class therefore placed a labelled basket near the door for forgotten items.
The challenge ended, but several habits continued. Students now check what they already have before taking food, and many refill their bottles. Their teacher says the result matters, but the most important lesson is that useful change begins with careful observation rather than a perfect plan.

I’m not good at dancing at all. I always try not to dance. However, I lately had to face my fear. My teacher, Mr. Dupont, asked me to go to a traditional dance. I’m working in Brittany, a place in France. The people here have their own special way of life. They even speak their own language, called Breton. Every few months, each town has its own traditional Breton dance. One is called Fest Deiz. That means “day festival” in Breton because it happens during the day instead of the evening.
I really wanted to go to a Fest Deiz. The music was great. Everyone but me did a special dance for each song. I thought I should stop being nervous and join them. Mr. Dupont taught me a dance. In this dance, everyone joined little fingers and danced in a circle. The steps were hard for me, but it was really cool.
My favourite part of the dance was watching people. They all held hands and had fun with their culture. I felt so lucky to be part of this special tradition. Perhaps more importantly, I learned that . If you say yes, you can have an amazing experience.
