八、阅读理解(5分)
Grandma often said, “Put on your coat! The ‘Counting the Nines’ has started on Winter Solstice (冬至)”. In Chinese, there’s even a common phrase called “Shu Jiu HanTian” — it means the coldest days of the year. But what is “Counting the Nines”?
In China, winter can be long and really cold. But long ago, Chinese people found a smart and fun way to get through the time. This tradition is called “Shu Jiu” (or “Counting the Nines”). It’s a good way that helps people follow the weather and hope for spring.
“Shu Jiu” usually starts on Winter Solstice. The way to do it is easy: people count 9 groups of 9 days — that’s 81 days total. When these 81 days end, the cold winter is gone, and spring is fully here.
There’s a famous folk song called the “Song of Nines”. It talks about how the weather changes. For example, it says that during the “Third Nine” and “Fourth Nine”, it’s the coldest time — people can walk on ice! But by the “Ninth Nine”, cows start walking in the fields. That means it’s time to start farming.
In Chinese culture, “Shu Jiu” isn’t just a calendar. It stands for hope and patience. It shows how smart ancient Chinese farmers were, and how close they felt to nature. Next time grandma tells you to put on more clothes, don’t get a cold!
66.Why does the writer mention grandma’s words in paragraph 1?
A.To introduce his grandma. B.To introduce the winter clothes.
C.To introduce the topic. D.To introduce the nine numbers.
67.When does “Counting the Nines” usually start?
A.On the first day of winter. B.On Winter Solstice.
C.On the first day of spring D.On the coldest day of the year.
68.Which picture can show the temperature changes during “Counting the Nines”?
A. B.
C. D.
69.What does the last sentence remind us to do?
A.Listen to grandma and wear more clothes. B.Walk on ice in winter.
C.Start farming in spring. D.Sing the “Song of Nines”.
70.What is the best title of the passage?
A.The Coldest Days in Winter B.The Tradition of “Counting the Nines” in China
C.A Famous Folk Song About Weather D.The Relationship Between Winter Solstice and Farming
【答案】66.C 67.B 68.A 69.A 70.B
68.根据第四段“during the ‘Third Nine’ and ‘Fourth Nine’, it’s the coldest time...by the ‘Ninth Nine’, cows start walking in the fields. That means it’s time to start farming.”,可知数九过程中,三九、四九是最冷的阶段,到九九结束时春天来临,气温回升。纵轴表示气温,向上代表气温升高,因此气温变化为:从一九开始逐渐降低,到三九四九达到最低,之后逐渐升高,对应先降后升的曲线。
69.原文最后一句为“Next time grandma tells you to put on more clothes, don’t get a cold!”,意思是提醒我们要听奶奶的话,多穿衣物避免感冒。
70.全文围绕中国“数九”这一传统习俗展开介绍,核心主题是中国的数九传统。

十、任务型阅读(10分)
阅读下面短文,简略回答问题。
The Dragon Boat Festival, also known as Duanwu Festival, is one of the most important traditional Chinese festivals. It falls on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month every year.
The festival has a history of over 2,000 years and is closely associated with the poet Qu Yuan. Qu Yuan was a loyal minister of the State of Chu during the Warring States Period. When his state was defeated, he drowned himself in the Miluo River out of sorrow. Local people rowed boats to try to save him and threw rice dumplings into the water to prevent fish from eating his body.
Today, people celebrate the festival in several ways. The most famous tradition is dragon boat racing. Teams of paddlers race in long boats decorated with dragon heads. Another important tradition is eating zongzi—sticky rice wrapped in bamboo leaves with various fillings such as pork, beans, or dates.
The festival is not only celebrated in China but also in many other Asian countries. In 2009, it was added to the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
“The Dragon Boat Festival helps us remember our history and traditions,” said 78-year-old Grandma Liu, who has been making zongzi for over 60 years. “Passing these traditions to the younger generation is very important.”

For example, it says that during the “Third Nine” and “Fourth Nine”, it’s the coldest time — people can walk on ice! But by the “Ninth Nine”, cows start walking in the fields. That means it’s time to start farming.
